Svjetski rekorder u skoku s motkom Šveđanin Mondo Duplantis, svjetski prvak s Argentinom Lionel Messi, američka plivačica Katie Ledecky i njezina sunarodnjakinja atletičarka Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone među nominiranima su za ovogodišnju dodjelu Laureus World Sports Awards.

Više od tisuću novinara iz cijelog svijeta izabralo je šestoro sportaša za svaku od sedam nagradu koje će biti dodijeljene u travnju nakon drugog glasovanja.

Nagrade dodjeljuje Zaklada Laureus Sport for Good, globalna organizacija uključena u više od 150 dobrotvornih projekata, a nagrade se smatraju vrlo prestižnim i često se nazivaju sportskim ekvivalentom "Oskara".

Hrvatski tenisač Goran Ivanišević je 2002. dobio nagradu za povratnika godine, a najbolja hrvatska skijšica Janica Kostelić je 2006. bila najbolja sportašica.

Kandidati za najboljeg sportaša 2022. godine su švedski atletičar Mondo Duplantis, koji je protekle godine tri puta popravio svoj svjetski rekord u skoku s motkom, te osvojio svjetske naslove u dvorani i na otvorenom te Dijamantnu ligu. Duplantis će se boriti protiv argentinskog nogometnog majstora Lionela Messija koji je u dresu "Gauča" osvojio svjetski naslov, svjetskog prvaka u formuli 1 Nizozemca Maxa Verstappena, košarkaša NBA prvaka Golden State Warriorsa Stephena Curryja, francuskog nogometaša Kyliana Mbappea, te španjolskog tenisača Rafaela Nadala.

U ženskoj konkurenciji među glavnim kandidatkinjama za nagradu je američka plivačica Katie Ledecky koja je na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Budimpešti osvojila četiri zlatne medalje. Nagradu "lovi" i američka atletičarka Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone koja je već dobila nagradu za najbolju atletičarku godine. McLaughlin-Levrone je na SP-u Eugenu osvojila dva zlata, te dva puta rušila svoj svjetski rekord na 400 m prepone.

Jamajčanka Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce je osvojila naslov svjetske atletske prvakinje na 100m, poljska tenisačica Iga Swiatek je lani osvojila Roland Garros i US Open, nanizala 37 pobjeda, te godinu završila na broju jedan. Među kandidatkinjama za nagradu je i američka skijašica Mikaela Shiffrin, pobjednica Svjetskog kupa, te španjolska nogometašica Alexia Putellas.

Obznanjeni su i kandidati za najbolju ekipu, a finalu su muška nogometna reprezentacije Argentine, nogometaši Real Madrida, NBA prvaci Golden State Warriorsi, ženska nogometna reprezentacije Engleske, francuska ragbi reprezentacija, te Oracle Red Bull Racing momčad formule 1.

Za otkriće godine kandidiraju marokanska nogometna reprezentacija, španjolski tenisač Carlos Alcaraz, kazahstanska tenisačica Elena Ribakina, američki klizač Nathan Chen, američki golfer Scottie Scheffler, te nigerijska atletičarka Tobi Amusan.

Dijelit će se i "sportski Oscari" za povratnika godine, najboljeg sportaša s invaliditetom, najboljeg sportaša u ekstremnim sportovima, te nagrada "Sport for Good" za sportski program ili projekt.

Švicarski tenisač Roger Federer rekorder je sa šest "Laureusa", pet je osvojio za sportaša godine, a jednog za povratnika godine, dok je u ženskoj konkurenciji rekorderka američka tenisačica Serena Williams s pet "kipića", četiri za najbolju sportašicu, a jednog kao povratnica godine.

Svjetski rekorder u skoku s motkom Šveđanin Mondo Duplantis, svjetski prvak s Argentinom Lionel Messi, američka plivačica Katie Ledecky i njezina sunarodnjakinja atletičarka Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone među nominiranima su za ovogodišnju dodjelu Laureus World Sports Awards.

Više od tisuću novinara iz cijelog svijeta izabralo je šestoro sportaša za svaku od sedam nagradu koje će biti dodijeljene u travnju nakon drugog glasovanja.

Nagrade dodjeljuje Zaklada Laureus Sport for Good, globalna organizacija uključena u više od 150 dobrotvornih projekata, a nagrade se smatraju vrlo prestižnim i često se nazivaju sportskim ekvivalentom "Oskara".

Hrvatski tenisač Goran Ivanišević je 2002. dobio nagradu za povratnika godine, a najbolja hrvatska skijšica Janica Kostelić je 2006. bila najbolja sportašica.

Kandidati za najboljeg sportaša 2022. godine su švedski atletičar Mondo Duplantis, koji je protekle godine tri puta popravio svoj svjetski rekord u skoku s motkom, te osvojio svjetske naslove u dvorani i na otvorenom te Dijamantnu ligu. Duplantis će se boriti protiv argentinskog nogometnog majstora Lionela Messija koji je u dresu "Gauča" osvojio svjetski naslov, svjetskog prvaka u formuli 1 Nizozemca Maxa Verstappena, košarkaša NBA prvaka Golden State Warriorsa Stephena Curryja, francuskog nogometaša Kyliana Mbappea, te španjolskog tenisača Rafaela Nadala.

U ženskoj konkurenciji među glavnim kandidatkinjama za nagradu je američka plivačica Katie Ledecky koja je na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Budimpešti osvojila četiri zlatne medalje. Nagradu "lovi" i američka atletičarka Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone koja je već dobila nagradu za najbolju atletičarku godine. McLaughlin-Levrone je na SP-u Eugenu osvojila dva zlata, te dva puta rušila svoj svjetski rekord na 400 m prepone.

Jamajčanka Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce je osvojila naslov svjetske atletske prvakinje na 100m, poljska tenisačica Iga Swiatek je lani osvojila Roland Garros i US Open, nanizala 37 pobjeda, te godinu završila na broju jedan. Među kandidatkinjama za nagradu je i američka skijašica Mikaela Shiffrin, pobjednica Svjetskog kupa, te španjolska nogometašica Alexia Putellas.

Obznanjeni su i kandidati za najbolju ekipu, a finalu su muška nogometna reprezentacije Argentine, nogometaši Real Madrida, NBA prvaci Golden State Warriorsi, ženska nogometna reprezentacije Engleske, francuska ragbi reprezentacija, te Oracle Red Bull Racing momčad formule 1.

Za otkriće godine kandidiraju marokanska nogometna reprezentacija, španjolski tenisač Carlos Alcaraz, kazahstanska tenisačica Elena Ribakina, američki klizač Nathan Chen, američki golfer Scottie Scheffler, te nigerijska atletičarka Tobi Amusan.

Dijelit će se i "sportski Oscari" za povratnika godine, najboljeg sportaša s invaliditetom, najboljeg sportaša u ekstremnim sportovima, te nagrada "Sport for Good" za sportski program ili projekt.

Objavljene nominacije za nagradu Laureus, evo tko se sve našao u društvu najboljih sportaša i sportašica svijeta

Svjetski rekorder u skoku s motkom Šveđanin Mondo Duplantis, svjetski prvak s Argentinom Lionel Messi, američka plivačica Katie Ledecky i njezina sunarodnjakinja atletičarka Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone među nominiranima su za ovogodišnju dodjelu Laureus World Sports Awards.

Više od tisuću novinara iz cijelog svijeta izabralo je šestoro sportaša za svaku od sedam nagradu koje će biti dodijeljene u travnju nakon drugog glasovanja.

Nagrade dodjeljuje Zaklada Laureus Sport for Good, globalna organizacija uključena u više od 150 dobrotvornih projekata, a nagrade se smatraju vrlo prestižnim i često se nazivaju sportskim ekvivalentom "Oskara".

Hrvatski tenisač Goran Ivanišević je 2002. dobio nagradu za povratnika godine, a najbolja hrvatska skijšica Janica Kostelić je 2006. bila na...
