Olimpijske igre u Tokiju od svog početka potpuno su u znaku straha od Covida-19 i borbe protiv te teške bolesti. Epidemiološke mjere diktiraju pravila igre, a nekad se primjenjuju čak i tijekom same igre. Pokazao je to i brazilski odbojkaš Lucas Saatkamp (35). U jučerašnjem polufinalu protiv Rusije (točnije momčadi Ruskog Olimpijskog Odbora - ROC) igrao je s maskom na licu.

Lucas je jučer, ali i tijekom dosadašnjeg dijela turnira nastupao sa zaštitnom maskom. Dojam je kako nije bila baš ona tipična medicinska, klasična kirurška, već nekakvog sportskijeg tipa, crne boje, ali namjera je bila ista, zaštita od korona virusa. Pritom nije bio jedini. Masku je tijekom turnira nosio i njegov suigrač Mauricio Borges, a u ranijoj fazi natjecanja do ozljede i njihova sunarodnjakinja odbojkašica Macris Carneiro.

Brazilci i Lucas nisu uspjeli obraniti zlato osvojeno na domaćem trenu u Riju prije pet godina. Rusija je u polufinalu slavila s 3:1 iako su Brazilci osvojili prvi set. Međutim, Lucas je skrenuo pažnju na sebe s ovim za sportske terene ipak i u ovo čudno vrijeme neobičnim detaljem. Navikli smo na gledatelje, suce čak i trenere s maskama. Ali ne baš i na igrače.

No, Lucas je priznao kako su njegove namjere u startu bile mnogo uže usmjerene od nekakvog navodnog slanja poruke širokim masama. Briga, prije svega za sina koji ima zdravstvenih problema i kćerkicu koju je tek dobio, da njima ili svojoj supruzi njihovoj majci ne prenese virus.

- Nije mi bila namjera slati nikakvu poruku, biti nekakav uzor ili sličnoa. Jednostavno želim zaštititi svoju obitelj – pojasnio je Lucas prije polufinala za Associated press. Brazilski odbojkaš i supruga imaju dvoje djece, petogodišnjeg sina Thea koji ima respiratornih problema i koristi inhalatore i tek rođenu kćerkicu, zbog dobi izuzetno osjetljivu.

Lucas se na ovaj potez odlučio iako je prebolio Covid-19, doduše u siječnju i od toga je prošlo dakle više od pola godine, te unatoč tome što je pred Igre cijepljen.

Na pitanje koje se samo po sebi logično nameće je razjasnio.

- Nošenje maske tijekom utakmice ne predstavlja mi nikakav problem. Odbojka je drugačiji sport od recimo trkačkih disciplina u atletici ili nogometa, ima dosta pauza u kojima se može uhvatiti dah. Uopće nije nezgodno – rekao je Lucas.

Brazil je država koja u svijetu ima drugi najveći broj smrtnih slučajeva sa Covidom-19. U toj najvećoj južnoameričkoj državi preminulo je dosad čak 556.000 osoba koje su imale Covid-19. U finalu će Rusi (ROC) sutra igrati protiv Francuske koja je u polufinalu svladala Argentinu 3:0, pa će se tako Brazilci sa svojim kontinentalnim rivalima istog dana nadmetati za broncu.

Olimpijske igre u Tokiju od svog početka potpuno su u znaku straha od Covida-19 i borbe protiv te teške bolesti. Epidemiološke mjere diktiraju pravila igre, a nekad se primjenjuju čak i tijekom same igre. Pokazao je to i brazilski odbojkaš Lucas Saatkamp (35). U jučerašnjem polufinalu protiv Rusije (točnije momčadi Ruskog Olimpijskog Odbora - ROC) igrao je s maskom na licu.

Lucas je jučer, ali i tijekom dosadašnjeg dijela turnira nastupao sa zaštitnom maskom. Dojam je kako nije bila baš ona tipična medicinska, klasična kirurška, već nekakvog sportskijeg tipa, crne boje, ali namjera je bila ista, zaštita od korona virusa. Pritom nije bio jedini. Masku je tijekom turnira nosio i njegov suigrač Mauricio Borges, a u ranijoj fazi natjecanja do ozljede i njihova sunarodnjakinja odbojkašica Macris Carneiro.

Brazilci i Lucas nisu uspjeli obraniti zlato osvojeno na domaćem trenu u Riju prije pet godina. Rusija je u polufinalu slavila s 3:1 iako su Brazilci osvojili prvi set. Međutim, Lucas je skrenuo pažnju na sebe s ovim za sportske terene ipak i u ovo čudno vrijeme neobičnim detaljem. Navikli smo na gledatelje, suce čak i trenere s maskama. Ali ne baš i na igrače.

No, Lucas je priznao kako su njegove namjere u startu bile mnogo uže usmjerene od nekakvog navodnog slanja poruke širokim masama. Briga, prije svega za sina koji ima zdravstvenih problema i kćerkicu koju je tek dobio, da njima ili svojoj supruzi njihovoj majci ne prenese virus.

- Nije mi bila namjera slati nikakvu poruku, biti nekakav uzor ili sličnoa. Jednostavno želim zaštititi svoju obitelj – pojasnio je Lucas prije polufinala za Associated press. Brazilski odbojkaš i supruga imaju dvoje djece, petogodišnjeg sina Thea koji ima respiratornih problema i koristi inhalatore i tek rođenu kćerkicu, zbog dobi izuzetno osjetljivu.

Lucas se na ovaj potez odlučio iako je prebolio Covid-19, doduše u siječnju i od toga je prošlo dakle više od pola godine, te unatoč tome što je pred Igre cijepljen.

Na pitanje koje se samo po sebi logično nameće je razjasnio.

- Nošenje maske tijekom utakmice ne predstavlja mi nikakav problem. Odbojka je drugačiji sport od recimo trkačkih disciplina u atletici ili nogometa, ima dosta pauza u kojima se može uhvatiti dah. Uopće nije nezgodno – rekao je Lucas.

Brazil je država koja u svijetu ima drugi najveći broj smrtnih slučajeva sa Covidom-19. U toj najvećoj južnoameričkoj državi preminulo je dosad čak 556.000 osoba koje su imale Covid-19. U finalu će Rusi (ROC) sutra igrati protiv Francuske koja je u polufinalu svladala Argentinu 3:0, pa će se tako Brazilci sa svojim kontinentalnim rivalima istog dana nadmetati za broncu.
