Kolekcija jesen/zima u splitski je momčadski sport unijela nekoliko kadrovskih promjena. Unutar mjesec dana, kroz prosinac i siječanj, Hajduk, KK Split i Jadran promijenili su trenere. Iz igre Damir Burić, Ante Grgurević i Ivan Asić, a umjesto njih Igor Tudor, Ivica Skelin i Mile Smodlaka. Tri povratnika.

Prvi je kormilo napustio Grgurević, na Gripama. Presudio mu je poraz od Sonika u Jazinama, nakon što se cijele jeseni njegova momčad mučila u gostima, zbog čega nije moglo doći do iskoraka u regionalnoj ligi. „Visio” je Grga još u listopadu nakon poraza u Tuzli, ali je dobio novu priliku. Taman kad se činilo da je s četiri uzastopne pobjede uhvatio zalet, dogodio se taj poraz od Sonika i definitivan rastanak. Grgurević je ipak ostao u klubu vrativši se na poziciju šefa omladinskog pogona, što je svakako plus jer je takav čovjek i radnik potreban „žutima”.

Na mjesto trenera vratio se Skelin koji je vodio klub od studenog 2015. do svibnja 2018. godine kada mu je ugovor bio istekao. Vratio se nakon nove epizode u Nizozemskoj, osjetivši da ima nedovršenog posla na Gripama.

Međutim, ni njemu nije krenulo idealno. Izgubio je dvije od prve tri utakmice, ali je dolaskom novih igrača Washingtona i Vrankovića dobio kvalitetu koju Grgurević nije imao. Od tog je trenutka Split dobio 10 od sljedećih 13 utakmica. U igri je za doigravanje Druge ABA lige, treći je u domaćem prvenstvu, bliži se i Kup Krešimira Ćosića... Teško će do trofeja pored Zadra i Cibone, ali nikad se ne zna.

Deset dana nakon Grgurevića bivši je postao i Damir Burić u Hajduku. Burić je ljetos uskočio na užarenu klupu kada je malo tko htio, nakon povijesne blamaže protiv Gzire. Kod kuće je briljirao i rušio rekorde, bodovni je učinak bio sasvim solidan, no od početka nije „sjeo” dijelu navijača. Igra nije bila uvjerljiva, a onda se nanizalo dosta kikseva: ispadanje od Gorice u Kupu, poraz od istog suparnika u ligi, onda 0:4 s Rijekom u Splitu, remi u Zaprešiću... Sve je to postalo pretežak uteg iako je Hajduk i dalje bio drugi na tablici. Burić je odradio Istru doma 2:1 i to je bio kraj.

Predsjednik Uprave Marin Brbić i novi čelni ljudi sportske politike Mario Stanić i Ivan Kepčija, koji su u međuvremenu došli, donijeli su odluku.

- Burić je ispunio rezultatske ciljeve Hajduka, osvojivši drugo mjesto na kraju polusezone, međutim kako je istovremeno u javnosti stvorena negativna atmosfera oko momčadi koja može imati i daljnji utjecaj na igrače, Hajduk se odlučio zaključiti dosadašnju suradnju s trenerom Burićem te potražiti novu energiju i nova dugoročna rješenja na čelu prve momčadi – objasnili su s Poljuda.

Najnoviji spasitelj pronađen je u Igoru Tudoru koji je od početka slovio za prvog favorita za Burićeva nasljednika. I Tudor se, poput Skelina, vratio nedovršena posla. Otišao je u zimu 2015. Sada je donio novu energiju, nove ideje i drukčiji stil igre. Svi su u Poljudu uvjereni da Tudor u suradnji sa Stanićem i Kepčijom može stvoriti momčad sposobnu za osvajanje trofeja i bolje igre na europskoj sceni.

Sredinom siječnja u potragu za novim trenerom krenuo je i Jadran. Ivan Asić, koji je drugu sezonu uzastopno uveo klub u skupinu Lige prvaka, a jesenas je čak pobijedio i moćni Jug, odlučio je otići u Sjedinjene Američke Države pomoći bratu koji ondje vodi vaterpolski klub. Čelnici sa Zvončaca potražili su rješenje unutar postojećih snaga i našli ga u Mili Smodlaki koji je bio trener prije dolaska Asića u ljeto 2017.

Smodlaku je sve to skupa iznenadilo. Radio je u omladinskom pogonu kluba i namjeravao odraditi sezonu do kraja, no Asićev odlazak ubrzao je njegov povratak na klupu prve momčadi. Kao dijete kluba, Smodlaka nije mogao odbiti poziv za tu laskavu, ali i odgovornu funkciju. Naš legendarni sidrun, koji je ujedno i pomoćnik Ivici Tucku u hrvatskoj reprezentaciji, samo nekoliko dana nakon povratka s Europskog prvenstva debitirao je pobjedom nad Crvenom zvezdom u Beogradu, a večeras ga čeka veliki izazov – gostovanje kod Barcelonete u Ligi prvaka.

Dakle, Tušo, Skela i Mile – tercet novih-starih stručnjaka za slavu Poljuda, Gripa i Zvončaca.

Kolekcija jesen/zima u splitski je momčadski sport unijela nekoliko kadrovskih promjena. Unutar mjesec dana, kroz prosinac i siječanj, Hajduk, KK Split i Jadran promijenili su trenere. Iz igre Damir Burić, Ante Grgurević i Ivan Asić, a umjesto njih Igor Tudor, Ivica Skelin i Mile Smodlaka. Tri povratnika.

Prvi je kormilo napustio Grgurević, na Gripama. Presudio mu je poraz od Sonika u Jazinama, nakon što se cijele jeseni njegova momčad mučila u gostima, zbog čega nije moglo doći do iskoraka u regionalnoj ligi. „Visio” je Grga još u listopadu nakon poraza u Tuzli, ali je dobio novu priliku. Taman kad se činilo da je s četiri uzastopne pobjede uhvatio zalet, dogodio se taj poraz od Sonika i definitivan rastanak. Grgurević je ipak ostao u klubu vrativši se na poziciju šefa omladinskog pogona, što je svakako plus jer je takav čovjek i radnik potreban „žutima”.

Na mjesto trenera vratio se Skelin koji je vodio klub od studenog 2015. do svibnja 2018. godine kada mu je ugovor bio istekao. Vratio se nakon nove epizode u Nizozemskoj, osjetivši da ima nedovršenog posla na Gripama.

Međutim, ni njemu nije krenulo idealno. Izgubio je dvije od prve tri utakmice, ali je dolaskom novih igrača Washingtona i Vrankovića dobio kvalitetu koju Grgurević nije imao. Od tog je trenutka Split dobio 10 od sljedećih 13 utakmica. U igri je za doigravanje Druge ABA lige, treći je u domaćem prvenstvu, bliži se i Kup Krešimira Ćosića... Teško će do trofeja pored Zadra i Cibone, ali nikad se ne zna.

Deset dana nakon Grgurevića bivši je postao i Damir Burić u Hajduku. Burić je ljetos uskočio na užarenu klupu kada je malo tko htio, nakon povijesne blamaže protiv Gzire. Kod kuće je briljirao i rušio rekorde, bodovni je učinak bio sasvim solidan, no od početka nije „sjeo” dijelu navijača. Igra nije bila uvjerljiva, a onda se nanizalo dosta kikseva: ispadanje od Gorice u Kupu, poraz od istog suparnika u ligi, onda 0:4 s Rijekom u Splitu, remi u Zaprešiću... Sve je to postalo pretežak uteg iako je Hajduk i dalje bio drugi na tablici. Burić je odradio Istru doma 2:1 i to je bio kraj.

Predsjednik Uprave Marin Brbić i novi čelni ljudi sportske politike Mario Stanić i Ivan Kepčija, koji su u međuvremenu došli, donijeli su odluku.

- Burić je ispunio rezultatske ciljeve Hajduka, osvojivši drugo mjesto na kraju polusezone, međutim kako je istovremeno u javnosti stvorena negativna atmosfera oko momčadi koja može imati i daljnji utjecaj na igrače, Hajduk se odlučio zaključiti dosadašnju suradnju s trenerom Burićem te potražiti novu energiju i nova dugoročna rješenja na čelu prve momčadi – objasnili su s Poljuda.

Najnoviji spasitelj pronađen je u Igoru Tudoru koji je od početka slovio za prvog favorita za Burićeva nasljednika. I Tudor se, poput Skelina, vratio nedovršena posla. Otišao je u zimu 2015. Sada je donio novu energiju, nove ideje i drukčiji stil igre. Svi su u Poljudu uvjereni da Tudor u suradnji sa Stanićem i Kepčijom može stvoriti momčad sposobnu za osvajanje trofeja i bolje igre na europskoj sceni.

Sredinom siječnja u potragu za novim trenerom krenuo je i Jadran. Ivan Asić, koji je drugu sezonu uzastopno uveo klub u skupinu Lige prvaka, a jesenas je čak pobijedio i moćni Jug, odlučio je otići u Sjedinjene Američke Države pomoći bratu koji ondje vodi vaterpolski klub. Čelnici sa Zvončaca potražili su rješenje unutar postojećih snaga i našli ga u Mili Smodlaki koji je bio trener prije dolaska Asića u ljeto 2017.

Smodlaku je sve to skupa iznenadilo. Radio je u omladinskom pogonu kluba i namjeravao odraditi sezonu do kraja, no Asićev odlazak ubrzao je njegov povratak na klupu prve momčadi. Kao dijete kluba, Smodlaka nije mogao odbiti poziv za tu laskavu, ali i odgovornu funkciju. Naš legendarni sidrun, koji je ujedno i pomoćnik Ivici Tucku u hrvatskoj reprezentaciji, samo nekoliko dana nakon povratka s Europskog prvenstva debitirao je pobjedom nad Crvenom zvezdom u Beogradu, a večeras ga čeka veliki izazov – gostovanje kod Barcelonete u Ligi prvaka.

Dakle, Tušo, Skela i Mile – tercet novih-starih stručnjaka za slavu Poljuda, Gripa i Zvončaca.

Kolekcija jesen/zima u splitski je momčadski sport unijela nekoliko kadrovskih promjena. Unutar mjesec dana, kroz prosinac i siječanj, Hajduk, KK Split i Jadran promijenili su trenere. Iz igre Damir Burić, Ante Grgurević i Ivan Asić, a umjesto njih Igor Tudor, Ivica Skelin i Mile Smodlaka. Tri povratnika.

Prvi je kormilo napustio Grgurević, na Gripama. Presudio mu je poraz od Sonika u Jazinama, nakon što se cijele jeseni njegova momčad mučila u gostima, zbog čega nije moglo doći do iskoraka u regionalnoj ligi. „Visio” je Grga još u listopadu nakon poraza u Tuzli, ali je dobio novu priliku. Taman kad se činilo da je s četiri uzastopne pobjede uhvatio zalet, dogodio se taj poraz od Sonika i definitivan rastanak. Grgurević je ipak ostao u klubu vrativši se na poziciju šefa omladinskog ...
