Bliži se NBA draft, sve su momčadi već odavno "snimile" potencijalna pojačanja za iduću sezonu. Sad su se okrenuli na europsku stranu Velike bare među igrače koji su se prijavili za ovogodišnji draft. Jedan od onih koji je vrlo blizu izbora je mladi hrvatski košarkaš Luka Šamanić 210 centimetara visoko krilo (četvorka) ljubljanske Olimpije. Za njega je zainteresiran San Antonio Spurs koji je poslao svog skauta R.C. Buforda kako bi se obavilo "dubinsko snimanje#" kvaliteta mladog igrača.

Brojke koje Šamanić ove sezone ima su prilično dobre, no američki mediji su preko svojih "veza" uspjeli doznati da u izvještaju stoji kako je Šamanić "igrač odlične tehnike, solidnog šuta, dobar razigravač, skočan i ono što je važno raznovrstan i iskoristiv na nekoliko pozicija". U slabije strane nabrojeno je "nestalnost, lošiji voljni moment u obrambenom segmentu i trenutno nedostatak fizičke snage za igranje na poziciji centra". Sve to je mnoge ohrabrilo, jer bi ovaj 19-godišnjak uz neke korekcije mogao biti odabran za San Antonio, barem prema usporedbama s nekim sadašnjim igračima.

S obzirom na to da su Spursi uvijek znali odabrati odlične igrače iz Europe, a brojevi koje imaju na ovogodišnjem draftu, te dodatno skautiranje navode da bi jedan od najdarovitijih mladih igrača vrlo lako mogao biti odabran. S obzirom na to da je pred njim još dosta rada odabir ne znači i odmah odlazak u NBA, ali je sigurno da ga Spursi neće samo odabrati, nego i da će se s njim više raditi.

Luka Šamanić inače je sin nekadašnjeg košarkaša Marka, također centra, svoju je igračku karijeru počeo u Zagrebu, potom se preselio u B-momčad Barcelone, da bi 2018. godine potpisao višegodišnji ugovor s Petrol Olimpijom. Ne skriva da mu je idol Toni Kukoč, a po stilu igranja dosta podsjeća na Kevina Duranta i Kristapsa Porzingisa. I posebna zanimljivost, ukoliko bude odabran na ovogodišnjem draftu, Luka Šamanić, koji je rođen 9. siječnja 2000. će biti prvi u povijesti NBA igrač koji je i rođen u ovom stoljeću.

Bliži se NBA draft, sve su momčadi već odavno "snimile" potencijalna pojačanja za iduću sezonu. Sad su se okrenuli na europsku stranu Velike bare među igrače koji su se prijavili za ovogodišnji draft. Jedan od onih koji je vrlo blizu izbora je mladi hrvatski košarkaš Luka Šamanić 210 centimetara visoko krilo (četvorka) ljubljanske Olimpije. Za njega je zainteresiran San Antonio Spurs koji je poslao svog skauta R.C. Buforda kako bi se obavilo "dubinsko snimanje#" kvaliteta mladog igrača.

Brojke koje Šamanić ove sezone ima su prilično dobre, no američki mediji su preko svojih "veza" uspjeli doznati da u izvještaju stoji kako je Šamanić "igrač odlične tehnike, solidnog šuta, dobar razigravač, skočan i ono što je važno raznovrstan i iskoristiv na nekoliko pozicija". U slabije strane nabrojeno je "nestalnost, lošiji voljni moment u obrambenom segmentu i trenutno nedostatak fizičke snage za igranje na poziciji centra". Sve to je mnoge ohrabrilo, jer bi ovaj 19-godišnjak uz neke korekcije mogao biti odabran za San Antonio, barem prema usporedbama s nekim sadašnjim igračima.

S obzirom na to da su Spursi uvijek znali odabrati odlične igrače iz Europe, a brojevi koje imaju na ovogodišnjem draftu, te dodatno skautiranje navode da bi jedan od najdarovitijih mladih igrača vrlo lako mogao biti odabran. S obzirom na to da je pred njim još dosta rada odabir ne znači i odmah odlazak u NBA, ali je sigurno da ga Spursi neće samo odabrati, nego i da će se s njim više raditi.

Luka Šamanić inače je sin nekadašnjeg košarkaša Marka, također centra, svoju je igračku karijeru počeo u Zagrebu, potom se preselio u B-momčad Barcelone, da bi 2018. godine potpisao višegodišnji ugovor s Petrol Olimpijom. Ne skriva da mu je idol Toni Kukoč, a po stilu igranja dosta podsjeća na Kevina Duranta i Kristapsa Porzingisa. I posebna zanimljivost, ukoliko bude odabran na ovogodišnjem draftu, Luka Šamanić, koji je rođen 9. siječnja 2000. će biti prvi u povijesti NBA igrač koji je i rođen u ovom stoljeću.
