Centar Utah Jazza Rudy Gobert, prvi NBA košarkaš koji je bio pozitivan na koronavirus i zbog kojeg je natjecanje u NBA ligi prekinuto na najmanje 30 dana, odlučio je donirati 500.000 američkih dolara za zaposlenike dvorane u kojima igraju Jazz i Oklahoma City Thunder te za pogođene pandemijom u saveznoj državi Utah, u Oklahoma Cityju i njegovoj rodnoj Francuskoj, objavio je klub na svojoj službenom internetskom portalu.

"Znam da su mnogi ljudi pogođeni. Ova donacija je mali doprinos, kojim pokazujem svoju zahvalnost i podršku svima koji su pogođeni, a to su tek prvi od mnogih koraka koje ću pokušati napraviti kako bih napravio pozitivnu razliku te istovremeno nastavio učiti o COVID-19 i poučavati druge", izjavio je 27-godišnji Gobert u službenom priopćenju Utah Jazza.

Prema podacima iz priopćenja Gobert će 200.000 USD donirati zaposlenicima u Vivint Smart Home Arena u Salt Lake Cityju, koji nemaju prihoda zbog odgode NBA utakmica te drugih događanja koja su se trebala održati u ovoj dvorani. Po 100.000 USD bit će donirano obiteljima koje su pogođene pandemijom COVID-19 u saveznoj državi Utah i Oklahoma Cityju, dok će 100.000 eura biti proslijeđeno u Francusku.

Još u ponedjeljak Gobert je ismijavao opasnost od širenja virusa dotičući sve mikrofone i uređaje koji su se nalazili ispred njega tijekom konferencije za medije, a nakon što je utvrđeno da je francuski centar pozitivan na koronavirus, njegovi suigrači su otkrili kako se već nekoliko dana ranije počeo šaliti u svlačionici Jazza na sličan način. Kad je u četvrtak Donovan Mitchell postao drugim pozitivnim košarkašem Utah Jazza, Gobert je putem Instagrama objavio ispriku za svoje ponašanje.

Gobertova donacija nije prva među NBA igračima. Krilni centar Clevelanda Kevin Love je prvi obznanio da će donirati 100.000 USD za zaposlenike dvorane u kojoj Cavaliersi igraju domaće utakmice, dok je prvi izbor prošlogodišnjeg drafta Zion Williamson obećao da će isplatiti plaće zaposlenicima dvorane u kojoj igraju njegovi New Orleans Pelicansi.

Centar Utah Jazza Rudy Gobert, prvi NBA košarkaš koji je bio pozitivan na koronavirus i zbog kojeg je natjecanje u NBA ligi prekinuto na najmanje 30 dana, odlučio je donirati 500.000 američkih dolara za zaposlenike dvorane u kojima igraju Jazz i Oklahoma City Thunder te za pogođene pandemijom u saveznoj državi Utah, u Oklahoma Cityju i njegovoj rodnoj Francuskoj, objavio je klub na svojoj službenom internetskom portalu.

"Znam da su mnogi ljudi pogođeni. Ova donacija je mali doprinos, kojim pokazujem svoju zahvalnost i podršku svima koji su pogođeni, a to su tek prvi od mnogih koraka koje ću pokušati napraviti kako bih napravio pozitivnu razliku te istovremeno nastavio učiti o COVID-19 i poučavati druge", izjavio je 27-godišnji Gobert u službenom priopćenju Utah Jazza.

Prema podacima iz priopćenja Gobert će 200.000 USD donirati zaposlenicima u Vivint Smart Home Arena u Salt Lake Cityju, koji nemaju prihoda zbog odgode NBA utakmica te drugih događanja koja su se trebala održati u ovoj dvorani. Po 100.000 USD bit će donirano obiteljima koje su pogođene pandemijom COVID-19 u saveznoj državi Utah i Oklahoma Cityju, dok će 100.000 eura biti proslijeđeno u Francusku.

Još u ponedjeljak Gobert je ismijavao opasnost od širenja virusa dotičući sve mikrofone i uređaje koji su se nalazili ispred njega tijekom konferencije za medije, a nakon što je utvrđeno da je francuski centar pozitivan na koronavirus, njegovi suigrači su otkrili kako se već nekoliko dana ranije počeo šaliti u svlačionici Jazza na sličan način. Kad je u četvrtak Donovan Mitchell postao drugim pozitivnim košarkašem Utah Jazza, Gobert je putem Instagrama objavio ispriku za svoje ponašanje.

Gobertova donacija nije prva među NBA igračima. Krilni centar Clevelanda Kevin Love je prvi obznanio da će donirati 100.000 USD za zaposlenike dvorane u kojoj Cavaliersi igraju domaće utakmice, dok je prvi izbor prošlogodišnjeg drafta Zion Williamson obećao da će isplatiti plaće zaposlenicima dvorane u kojoj igraju njegovi New Orleans Pelicansi.

Centar Utah Jazza Rudy Gobert, prvi NBA košarkaš koji je bio pozitivan na koronavirus i zbog kojeg je natjecanje u NBA ligi prekinuto na najmanje 30 dana, odlučio je donirati 500.000 američkih dolara za zaposlenike dvorane u kojima igraju Jazz i Oklahoma City Thunder te za pogođene pandemijom u saveznoj državi Utah, u Oklahoma Cityju i njegovoj rodnoj Francuskoj, objavio je klub na svojoj službenom internetskom portalu.

"Znam da su mnogi ljudi pogođeni. Ova donacija je mali doprinos, kojim pokazujem svoju zahvalnost i podršku svima koji su pogođeni, a to su tek prvi od mnogih koraka koje ću pokušati napraviti kako bih napravio pozitivnu razliku te istovremeno nastavio učiti o COVID-19 i poučavati druge", izjavio je 27-godišnji Gobert u službenom priopćenju Utah Jazza.
