Puna su dva i pol mjeseca prošla od posljednje Rijekine prvenstvene pobjede. Bilo je to na prvenstvenom startu, 16. srpnja u Šibeniku, kada su Riječani, pogotkom Obregona, slavili 1:0. Svašta se dogodilo na Rujevici u tih 75 dana, na klupi je sad treći trener, nakon Dragana Tadića i Fausta Budicina riječki nasukani brod (predzadnje mjesto, 6 bodova) do mirnog mora pokušava dovesti Talijan Serse Cosmi.

Poslije šibenske pobjede Rijeka je, podsjetimo, još remizirala s Goricom (1:1) i Šibenikom doma (0:0), te s Istrom 1961 u Puli (1:1). A u nedjelju na Rujevicu dolazi Hajduk (15 sati)...

- Ovo je iznimno važna utakmica, prepuna emocija i željno je iščekujemo. Znamo jako dobro koliko ovaj derbi znači našim navijačima i učinit ćemo sve da ostvarimo pravi rezultat - rekao je Cosmi na uvodu druženju s novinarima, pišu Sportske novosti.

Rijeka ima problema s ozlijeđenim igračima, pa tako u nedjelju neće biti Simčića, Libera, Pavlovića, Đuričina i Vučkića, kao ni suspendiranih Vukčevića i Selahija (žuti kartoni)...

- Bilo bi dobro da imamo veći broj spremnih igrača za ovu utakmice, međutim, ovo je naša realnost, spletom okolnosti u ovakvoj smo situaciji. No, vjerujem da će igrači koji će zaigrati ponuditi najbolje što mogu, dat će sve od sebe za tri boda. U ova dva tjedna bez prvenstvenih utakmica još sam bolje upoznao momčad i igračima koji nisu bili na reprezentativnim akcijama na treninzima sam pokušavao objasniti moje zahtjeve. Priključili smo prvoj momčadi neke igrače iz našeg omladinskog pogona, to su Dujmović, Simčić, Gajzler i Kukoč, te vjerujem da je pred njima lijepa nogometna budućnost.

Po dolasku na Rujevicu najavili ste promjene u svlačionici. Kad će se to dogoditi?

- U ovom je trenutku to jako komplicirano, budući da sad, izvan prijelaznog roka, možemo dovesti samo slobodne igrače. A to su u pravilu nogometaši koji nekoliko mjeseci nisu igrali i tko zna u kakvom su stanju. Stoga, nećemo žuriti, pričekat ćemo studeni, kad će sigurno biti dolazaka i odlazaka. A iznimno je važno da već sad znamo kakav profil igrača želimo dovesti, kako ne bismo bili u nedoumicama tijekom dolazećeg prijelaznog roka.

Kakav Hajduk očekujete?

- I Splićani imaju problema s ozljedama i kartonima, no to je momčad koja ima potrebnu kvalitetu za borbu za vrh ljestvice. Respektiramo suparnika, ali ga se nimalo ne plašimo. Inače, svakodnevno tražim da mi se iz medija prevedu neke izjave, pa sam tako vidio dosta defetizma kad je ovaj klub u pitanju. I zato poručujem: Rijeka nije "umrla", Rijeka nije "mrtva", Rijeka je živa! I vratit će se na pravu stazu prije nego to mnogi misle. Ova momčad ima kvalitetu i vrijednost. Rijeka je godinama gradila svoj imidž, ne samo igrom i rezultatima, ratit ćemo se uspjesima. Žao mi je onih koji nas smatraju "mrtvima" - govorio je Cosmi.

Kakve ste pouke izvukli iz splitskog 0:2 poraza protiv Hajduka prije dva tjedna?

- Bila je to vrlo jednostavna utakmica. Hajduk je napravio baš sve što je trebao napraviti za pobjedu, a mi smo napravili tek 30 posto od onoga što smo morali napraviti. Stoga ne razmišljam previše o Hajduku, nego o tome kako da svoju momčad dovedem na željenu razinu. U nedjelju moramo biti barem na 70 posto svoga objektivnog kapaciteta, u taktičkom i igračkom smislu. A karakterno moramo biti na 100 posto! Moji igrači moraju osjetiti i "namirisati" što ova utakmica znači klubu i navijačima, jer ovo nije obična utakmica. I želio bih da sudački kriterij kod dodjele kartona bude drukčiji, kao i da nam suci dopuste napraviti izmjenu kad to želimo napraviti. Mislim da ne tražim previše, nadam se da neću morati, poput Mourinha, ulaziti u teren nakon nekih sudačkih odluka – poslao je Cosmi jasnu poruku.

U kakvom je stanju Alen Halilović, je li među kandidatima za utakmicu?

- Prošloga sam tjedna išao u policijsku upravu prijaviti prebivalište i prije toga u šali sam pitao Alena je li se u Rijeci prijavio kao turist, ha, ha! Šalu na stranu, treba nam svaki igrač. Halilović je bio ozlijeđen kad sam došao, oporavio se, ali još nije spreman za natjecateljske napore.

Imate li problema u komunikaciji s igračima, budući da ne govorite hrvatski jezik?

- Na terenu postoji univerzalni jezik, nogometni jezik! Pokušavamo komunicirati na engleskom, jer imamo dosta stranaca, a naši Kolumbijci i Španjolci razumiju talijanski. Za komunikaciju s hrvatskim igračima imam prevoditelja i Đalovića, tako da je sve manje problema s komunikacijom. Dat ću vam jedan paradoksalni primjer. Kad igrači ne znaju jezik, onda su koncentriraniji i više se trude da razumiju što govorim. Primjerice, u Italiji sam sa svojim igračima razgovarao na talijanskom jeziku i stranci su više upijali i bolje su me razumjeli od Talijana – rekao je osebujni Cosmi.

Puna su dva i pol mjeseca prošla od posljednje Rijekine prvenstvene pobjede. Bilo je to na prvenstvenom startu, 16. srpnja u Šibeniku, kada su Riječani, pogotkom Obregona, slavili 1:0. Svašta se dogodilo na Rujevici u tih 75 dana, na klupi je sad treći trener, nakon Dragana Tadića i Fausta Budicina riječki nasukani brod (predzadnje mjesto, 6 bodova) do mirnog mora pokušava dovesti Talijan Serse Cosmi.

Poslije šibenske pobjede Rijeka je, podsjetimo, još remizirala s Goricom (1:1) i Šibenikom doma (0:0), te s Istrom 1961 u Puli (1:1). A u nedjelju na Rujevicu dolazi Hajduk (15 sati)...

- Ovo je iznimno važna utakmica, prepuna emocija i željno je iščekujemo. Znamo jako dobro koliko ovaj derbi znači našim navijačima i učinit ćemo sve da ostvarimo pravi rezultat - rekao je Cosmi na uvodu druženju s novinarima, pišu Sportske novosti.

Rijeka ima problema s ozlijeđenim igračima, pa tako u nedjelju neće biti Simčića, Libera, Pavlovića, Đuričina i Vučkića, kao ni suspendiranih Vukčevića i Selahija (žuti kartoni)...

- Bilo bi dobro da imamo veći broj spremnih igrača za ovu utakmice, međutim, ovo je naša realnost, spletom okolnosti u ovakvoj smo situaciji. No, vjerujem da će igrači koji će zaigrati ponuditi najbolje što mogu, dat će sve od sebe za tri boda. U ova dva tjedna bez prvenstvenih utakmica još sam bolje upoznao momčad i igračima koji nisu bili na reprezentativnim akcijama na treninzima sam pokušavao objasniti moje zahtjeve. Priključili smo prvoj momčadi neke igrače iz našeg omladinskog pogona, to su Dujmović, Simčić, Gajzler i Kukoč, te vjerujem da je pred njima lijepa nogometna budućnost.

Po dolasku na Rujevicu najavili ste promjene u svlačionici. Kad će se to dogoditi?

- U ovom je trenutku to jako komplicirano, budući da sad, izvan prijelaznog roka, možemo dovesti samo slobodne igrače. A to su u pravilu nogometaši koji nekoliko mjeseci nisu igrali i tko zna u kakvom su stanju. Stoga, nećemo žuriti, pričekat ćemo studeni, kad će sigurno biti dolazaka i odlazaka. A iznimno je važno da već sad znamo kakav profil igrača želimo dovesti, kako ne bismo bili u nedoumicama tijekom dolazećeg prijelaznog roka.

Kakav Hajduk očekujete?

- I Splićani imaju problema s ozljedama i kartonima, no to je momčad koja ima potrebnu kvalitetu za borbu za vrh ljestvice. Respektiramo suparnika, ali ga se nimalo ne plašimo. Inače, svakodnevno tražim da mi se iz medija prevedu neke izjave, pa sam tako vidio dosta defetizma kad je ovaj klub u pitanju. I zato poručujem: Rijeka nije "umrla", Rijeka nije "mrtva", Rijeka je živa! I vratit će se na pravu stazu prije nego to mnogi misle. Ova momčad ima kvalitetu i vrijednost. Rijeka je godinama gradila svoj imidž, ne samo igrom i rezultatima, ratit ćemo se uspjesima. Žao mi je onih koji nas smatraju "mrtvima" - govorio je Cosmi.

Kakve ste pouke izvukli iz splitskog 0:2 poraza protiv Hajduka prije dva tjedna?

- Bila je to vrlo jednostavna utakmica. Hajduk je napravio baš sve što je trebao napraviti za pobjedu, a mi smo napravili tek 30 posto od onoga što smo morali napraviti. Stoga ne razmišljam previše o Hajduku, nego o tome kako da svoju momčad dovedem na željenu razinu. U nedjelju moramo biti barem na 70 posto svoga objektivnog kapaciteta, u taktičkom i igračkom smislu. A karakterno moramo biti na 100 posto! Moji igrači moraju osjetiti i "namirisati" što ova utakmica znači klubu i navijačima, jer ovo nije obična utakmica. I želio bih da sudački kriterij kod dodjele kartona bude drukčiji, kao i da nam suci dopuste napraviti izmjenu kad to želimo napraviti. Mislim da ne tražim previše, nadam se da neću morati, poput Mourinha, ulaziti u teren nakon nekih sudačkih odluka – poslao je Cosmi jasnu poruku.

U kakvom je stanju Alen Halilović, je li među kandidatima za utakmicu?

- Prošloga sam tjedna išao u policijsku upravu prijaviti prebivalište i prije toga u šali sam pitao Alena je li se u Rijeci prijavio kao turist, ha, ha! Šalu na stranu, treba nam svaki igrač. Halilović je bio ozlijeđen kad sam došao, oporavio se, ali još nije spreman za natjecateljske napore.

Imate li problema u komunikaciji s igračima, budući da ne govorite hrvatski jezik?

- Na terenu postoji univerzalni jezik, nogometni jezik! Pokušavamo komunicirati na engleskom, jer imamo dosta stranaca, a naši Kolumbijci i Španjolci razumiju talijanski. Za komunikaciju s hrvatskim igračima imam prevoditelja i Đalovića, tako da je sve manje problema s komunikacijom. Dat ću vam jedan paradoksalni primjer. Kad igrači ne znaju jezik, onda su koncentriraniji i više se trude da razumiju što govorim. Primjerice, u Italiji sam sa svojim igračima razgovarao na talijanskom jeziku i stranci su više upijali i bolje su me razumjeli od Talijana – rekao je osebujni Cosmi.
