Treba li raspisati natječaj za uređenje Pazara? Odgovor se čini lako razumljiv. Više glava je pametnije od jedne pa ne škodi vidjeti što bi natjecatelji ponudili kao rješenje. Možda bi jedno od njih bilo bolje od ovog kojeg je gradska vlast brzopotezno najavila prije negoli je ograđeno gradilište.

U obranu javnog arhitektonskog natječaja ustalo je Društvo arhitekata Split, a potom i HDZ. Lijepo je da ova stranka brani natječaje, ali ne sjećamo se da su tražili natječaj za Pazar kad je njihov gradonačelnik Andro Krstulović Opara pozvao renomiranog arhitekta Dinka Peračića da napravi program za uređenje Peškarije, Pazara i ostalih tržnica.

Nekoliko godina prije Opare, uređenje kioska na Pazaru najavio je još jedan bivši gradonačelnik - Ivo Baldasar. Otkrilo se da je projekt dao svojoj bivšoj stranačkoj kolegici iz SDP-a, što je izazvalo lavinu kritika.

Ondašnja stranka Pametno obrušila se tvrdnjama da je natječaj civilizacijski nivo ispod kojeg ne bi trebala ići niti jedna gradska vlast. Tešku paljbu po Baldasaru osuli su i aktivisti. Društvo arhitekata je i tada tražilo natječaj.

Sada aktivisti uglavnom šute, iako su tisuću puta ponavljali na društvenim mrežama kad je bila riječ o manjim stvarima – da je u pitanju UNESCO-ova zona.

Natječaj ne bi definirao samo izgled budućih stolova, već bi sagledao različite funkcije prostora i moguće načine njegove upotrebe. Problem na koji je DAS upozorio je što se kreće u parcijalnu obnovu Pazara, bez šire slike koju bi pružio natječaj.

Bilo bi zanimljivo vidjeti više prijedloga za Hrvojevu ulicu. Izgleda da se ovdje ravna po ideji koju je ponudio Peračić, da se tamo prostor "očisti" od šatora.

Oni jesu grozni, nastali su kao nekakvo privremeno rješenje u trenutku kad su banci odmaknuti od zida Palače, a još od 90-ih se u Banovini govorilo da će se napraviti natječaj za Pazar kojim će se "sve riješiti".

No, čini se da Peračićevom konceptu nedostaje ideja što učiniti s istočnim bedemom Palače nakon uklanjanja šatora. Naime, postoji opasnost od sterilizacije toga područja ako se neplanski uklone sadržaji. Peračić je spomenuo da bi u Hrvojevoj eventalno mogli biti sklopivi štandovi, ili oni za prodaju cvijeća. To je dodao kao mogućnost, no prvo je rekao da će se "očistiti" od šatora.

Istočni zid Palače kao arhitektura nikad nije bio "oljušten" kao u današnje vrijeme, već je djelovao dinamičnije.

U doba Dioklecijana zid je imao dvije osmerokutne kule, dvije četverokutne kule, a na krajnjim rubovima je imao jugoistočnu kulu (koja je još vidljiva) i sjeveroistočnu kulu. Kasnije je zid kroz povijest uz sebe imao građevine.

Pitanje je koliko bi današnji istočni zid da se sve ukloni bio zanimljiv, a ne bi bio autentičan. Ovakve šatore svakako treba ukloniti, ali prostoru treba dodati nešto što će biti neinvazivno, a dat će mu diskretnu dinamiku.

Memoriju na jednu od obrambenih kula danas "čuva" besmislena "rupa", taj denivelirani prostor s ruzinavom ogradom je zamišljen kao tobožnji javni prolaz preko kojeg se kroz prostorije turističke agencije "Atlas" trebala povezati Nepotova s Hrvojevom ulicom, što se nije dogodilo. Šatori se mogu maknuti, a što s rupom? To bi morali smisliti natjecatelji.

Također, trebalo bi razmisliti o natječaju koji bi šire sagledao uređenje prostora uz zidine Dioklecijanove palače, jer je sramotno kako se tretiraju antički artefakti uz sjeverni zid - skriveni su od pogleda živicom, a vlaga ih uništava, što je potpuno drukčije od načina na koji se na zadarskom Forumu - kao dekoracija prostora, ali i memorija mjesta - prezentiraju rimski nalazi.

Treba li raspisati natječaj za uređenje Pazara? Odgovor se čini lako razumljiv. Više glava je pametnije od jedne pa ne škodi vidjeti što bi natjecatelji ponudili kao rješenje. Možda bi jedno od njih bilo bolje od ovog kojeg je gradska vlast brzopotezno najavila prije negoli je ograđeno gradilište.

U obranu javnog arhitektonskog natječaja ustalo je Društvo arhitekata Split, a potom i HDZ. Lijepo je da ova stranka brani natječaje, ali ne sjećamo se da su tražili natječaj za Pazar kad je njihov gradonačelnik Andro Krstulović Opara pozvao renomiranog arhitekta Dinka Peračića da napravi program za uređenje Peškarije, Pazara i ostalih tržnica.

Nekoliko godina prije Opare, uređenje kioska na Pazaru najavio je još jedan bivši gradonačelnik - Ivo Baldasar. Otkrilo se da je projekt dao svojoj bivšoj stranačkoj kolegici iz SDP-a, što je izazvalo lavinu kritika.

Ondašnja stranka Pametno obrušila se tvrdnjama da je natječaj civilizacijski nivo ispod kojeg ne bi trebala ići niti jedna gradska vlast. Tešku paljbu po Baldasaru osuli su i aktivisti. Društvo arhitekata je i tada tražilo natječaj.

Sada aktivisti uglavnom šute, iako su tisuću puta ponavljali na društvenim mrežama kad je bila riječ o manjim stvarima – da je u pitanju UNESCO-ova zona.

Natječaj ne bi definirao samo izgled budućih stolova, već bi sagledao različite funkcije prostora i moguće načine njegove upotrebe. Problem na koji je DAS upozorio je što se kreće u parcijalnu obnovu Pazara, bez šire slike koju bi pružio natječaj.

Bilo bi zanimljivo vidjeti više prijedloga za Hrvojevu ulicu. Izgleda da se ovdje ravna po ideji koju je ponudio Peračić, da se tamo prostor "očisti" od šatora.

Oni jesu grozni, nastali su kao nekakvo privremeno rješenje u trenutku kad su banci odmaknuti od zida Palače, a još od 90-ih se u Banovini govorilo da će se napraviti natječaj za Pazar kojim će se "sve riješiti".

No, čini se da Peračićevom konceptu nedostaje ideja što učiniti s istočnim bedemom Palače nakon uklanjanja šatora. Naime, postoji opasnost od sterilizacije toga područja ako se neplanski uklone sadržaji. Peračić je spomenuo da bi u Hrvojevoj eventalno mogli biti sklopivi štandovi, ili oni za prodaju cvijeća. To je dodao kao mogućnost, no prvo je rekao da će se "očistiti" od šatora.

Istočni zid Palače kao arhitektura nikad nije bio "oljušten" kao u današnje vrijeme, već je djelovao dinamičnije.

U doba Dioklecijana zid je imao dvije osmerokutne kule, dvije četverokutne kule, a na krajnjim rubovima je imao jugoistočnu kulu (koja je još vidljiva) i sjeveroistočnu kulu. Kasnije je zid kroz povijest uz sebe imao građevine.

Pitanje je koliko bi današnji istočni zid da se sve ukloni bio zanimljiv, a ne bi bio autentičan. Ovakve šatore svakako treba ukloniti, ali prostoru treba dodati nešto što će biti neinvazivno, a dat će mu diskretnu dinamiku.

Memoriju na jednu od obrambenih kula danas "čuva" besmislena "rupa", taj denivelirani prostor s ruzinavom ogradom je zamišljen kao tobožnji javni prolaz preko kojeg se kroz prostorije turističke agencije "Atlas" trebala povezati Nepotova s Hrvojevom ulicom, što se nije dogodilo. Šatori se mogu maknuti, a što s rupom? To bi morali smisliti natjecatelji.

Također, trebalo bi razmisliti o natječaju koji bi šire sagledao uređenje prostora uz zidine Dioklecijanove palače, jer je sramotno kako se tretiraju antički artefakti uz sjeverni zid - skriveni su od pogleda živicom, a vlaga ih uništava, što je potpuno drukčije od načina na koji se na zadarskom Forumu - kao dekoracija prostora, ali i memorija mjesta - prezentiraju rimski nalazi.
