Na vijest kako se kultna Zara u trgovačkom centru Mall of Split preuređuje, krenule su glasine o zatvaranju velike trgovine istoga brenda u samom srcu grada, na vrhu Marmontove ulice.

Omiljeni španjolski modni brend trebao bi, prema spekulacijama, trajno zatvoriti svoja vrata, a na njegovu mjestu zasjao bi, gle čuda, luksuzni hotel! Od spomenutog, odmah smo provjerili kod splitskog poduzetnika Ivana Budalića, vlasnika dijela robne kuće u Marmontovoj, nema ništa.

– Ne, ništa od navedenog nije istina, Zara ostaje – poručio je Budalić.

Isto nam je, još uvijek neslužbeno, potvrđeno i iz grupacije Inditex. Doduše, otvorilo nam je to novo pitanje. Da se kojim slučajem spomenuta grupacija odluči povući iz našega grada i zatvori Zaru, Bershku i Massimo Dutti iz Marmontove ulice, kao što je to bio slučaj 2010. s Magminim trgovinama kada smo ostali bez svjetskih brendova Top Shop, Miss Selfridge i Esprit, koliku bi štetu pretrpio centar grada?

Opis na klimavim nogama

Istina, posljednjih godina doživio je procvat, no u porastu je gotovo isključivo ulaganje u ugostiteljske djelatnosti. Na restorane, kafiće, barove, apartmane i hotele opada barem 70 posto novouređenih i obnovljenih prostora. U trgovine, unatoč turističkom rastu, slabije se ulaže.

Iako na stranicama splitske turističke zajednice za Marmontovu stoji sljedeće: "... od Rive do vrha Marmontove nižu se i brojne trgovine, pretvarajući ulicu u najvažniju šoping oazu u centru grada, a pri vrhu se natisnulo i nekoliko popularnih kafića i restorana...", takav opis opstaje na klimavim nogama. Pogotovo uzmemo li u obzir koliko ovisimo o jednoj španjolskoj grupaciji.

Samo u posljednjih desetak godina uži centar grada ostao je bez niza građanima atraktivnih i pristupačnih trgovina, knjižara, čitave robne kuće na Morpurgovoj poljani, a čak i ne tako davno obnovljena robna kuća Prima Grad danas je u poprilično neatraktivnom izdanju. Uz bankomate, u porastu ili jednakom broju tek su zlatarne i optike.

Tjeraju se lokalci

Turističkom procvatu unatoč, od sve slavnijih domaćih dizajnera svoj butik u centru grada ima tek Aleksandra Dojčinović i modni dvojac ELFS. Tu je i jedna konceptualna trgovina domaćih autora, ostali se uglavnom drže isključivo zagrebačkih ulica.

Nismo se uspjeli istaknuti ni kao luksuzna šoping destinacija, pa se na prste jedne ruke mogu izbrojiti trgovine svjetskih dizajnerskih krpica.

Vrhunskih gastronomskih zalogaja i očaravajućih koktela, domaćih i stranih delicija i vina u centru grada ne nedostaje, no ni cijene nisu zanemarive. Dapače, većini građana sve su teže prihvatljive, čak i nedostižne.

Poznato je kako je grad u modernom turizmu atraktivan onoliko koliko je živ, odnosno zanimljiv i prihvatljiv svojim građanima, lokalcima. Otjera li se njih neperspektivnim sadržajima, pitanje je kako i koliko dugo će turistički opstati.

Može li i treba li građanima pružiti nešto više od kave i šetnje, skupih restorana i pokoje trgovine, tek nam ostaje za odgonetnuti.

Na vijest kako se kultna Zara u trgovačkom centru Mall of Split preuređuje, krenule su glasine o zatvaranju velike trgovine istoga brenda u samom srcu grada, na vrhu Marmontove ulice.

Omiljeni španjolski modni brend trebao bi, prema spekulacijama, trajno zatvoriti svoja vrata, a na njegovu mjestu zasjao bi, gle čuda, luksuzni hotel! Od spomenutog, odmah smo provjerili kod splitskog poduzetnika Ivana Budalića, vlasnika dijela robne kuće u Marmontovoj, nema ništa.

– Ne, ništa od navedenog nije istina, Zara ostaje – poručio je Budalić.

Isto nam je, još uvijek neslužbeno, potvrđeno i iz grupacije Inditex. Doduše, otvorilo nam je to novo pitanje. Da se kojim slučajem spomenuta grupacija odluči povući iz našega grada i zatvori Zaru, Bershku i Massimo Dutti iz Marmontove ulice, kao što je to bio slučaj 2010. s Magminim trgovinama kada smo ostali bez svjetskih brendova Top Shop, Miss Selfridge i Esprit, koliku bi štetu pretrpio centar grada?

Opis na klimavim nogama

Istina, posljednjih godina doživio je procvat, no u porastu je gotovo isključivo ulaganje u ugostiteljske djelatnosti. Na restorane, kafiće, barove, apartmane i hotele opada barem 70 posto novouređenih i obnovljenih prostora. U trgovine, unatoč turističkom rastu, slabije se ulaže.

Iako na stranicama splitske turističke zajednice za Marmontovu stoji sljedeće: "... od Rive do vrha Marmontove nižu se i brojne trgovine, pretvarajući ulicu u najvažniju šoping oazu u centru grada, a pri vrhu se natisnulo i nekoliko popularnih kafića i restorana...", takav opis opstaje na klimavim nogama. Pogotovo uzmemo li u obzir koliko ovisimo o jednoj španjolskoj grupaciji.

Samo u posljednjih desetak godina uži centar grada ostao je bez niza građanima atraktivnih i pristupačnih trgovina, knjižara, čitave robne kuće na Morpurgovoj poljani, a čak i ne tako davno obnovljena robna kuća Prima Grad danas je u poprilično neatraktivnom izdanju. Uz bankomate, u porastu ili jednakom broju tek su zlatarne i optike.

Tjeraju se lokalci

Turističkom procvatu unatoč, od sve slavnijih domaćih dizajnera svoj butik u centru grada ima tek Aleksandra Dojčinović i modni dvojac ELFS. Tu je i jedna konceptualna trgovina domaćih autora, ostali se uglavnom drže isključivo zagrebačkih ulica.

Nismo se uspjeli istaknuti ni kao luksuzna šoping destinacija, pa se na prste jedne ruke mogu izbrojiti trgovine svjetskih dizajnerskih krpica.

Vrhunskih gastronomskih zalogaja i očaravajućih koktela, domaćih i stranih delicija i vina u centru grada ne nedostaje, no ni cijene nisu zanemarive. Dapače, većini građana sve su teže prihvatljive, čak i nedostižne.

Poznato je kako je grad u modernom turizmu atraktivan onoliko koliko je živ, odnosno zanimljiv i prihvatljiv svojim građanima, lokalcima. Otjera li se njih neperspektivnim sadržajima, pitanje je kako i koliko dugo će turistički opstati.

Može li i treba li građanima pružiti nešto više od kave i šetnje, skupih restorana i pokoje trgovine, tek nam ostaje za odgonetnuti.
