Opet na plaži u Splitu i okolici neočekivani gosti. Nakon morskih kornjača na Čiovu i Trogiru, na plaži Kaštelet kupači sumnjaju kako su vidjeli azijskog stršljena.

Jedan naš sugrađanin poslao nam je fotografije kukca uz opis "Ne znam je li ovo već uobičajena pojava u Dalmaciji."

Ima li razloga za zabrinutost s obzirom na to kako se već pisalo o ubojitosti ovih insekata upitali smo diplomiranog inženjera biologije Tonija Žitka, voditelja Odsjeka dezinfekcije, dezinsekcije i deratizacije županijskog Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo.

- Mislim da je to mamutska osa. Trebalo bih uzeti uzorak pa vidjeti. Mamutska osa je vrsta ose, manje opasna od običnih osa. Manje napadaju ljude, nisu opisane kao agresivne prema ljudima.

Ako vas ubode, vjerojatno bi došlo do reakcije, ali se s time nismo do sada susreli. Ima ih na Mediteranu i nisu previše brojne, jedino lokalno uz trule panjeve gdje parazitiraju na kornjašu jednorogu i polažu jaja.

Ljudima izgleda opasno, jer je velika, ali nije - kazao nam je dipl. ing. Žitko i dodao kako ove vrste osa ima na Mediteranu i nisu previše brojne, jedino lokalno uz trule panjeve gdje parazitiraju na kornjašu jednorogu i polažu jaja.

Opet na plaži u Splitu i okolici neočekivani gosti. Nakon morskih kornjača na Čiovu i Trogiru, na plaži Kaštelet kupači sumnjaju kako su vidjeli azijskog stršljena.

Jedan naš sugrađanin poslao nam je fotografije kukca uz opis "Ne znam je li ovo već uobičajena pojava u Dalmaciji."

Ima li razloga za zabrinutost s obzirom na to kako se već pisalo o ubojitosti ovih insekata upitali smo diplomiranog inženjera biologije Tonija Žitka, voditelja Odsjeka dezinfekcije, dezinsekcije i deratizacije županijskog Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo.

- Mislim da je to mamutska osa. Trebalo bih uzeti uzorak pa vidjeti. Mamutska osa je vrsta ose, manje opasna od običnih osa. Manje napadaju ljude, nisu opisane kao agresivne prema ljudima.

Ako vas ubode, vjerojatno bi došlo do reakcije, ali se s time nismo do sada susreli. Ima ih na Mediteranu i nisu previše brojne, jedino lokalno uz trule panjeve gdje parazitiraju na kornjašu jednorogu i polažu jaja.

Ljudima izgleda opasno, jer je velika, ali nije - kazao nam je dipl. ing. Žitko i dodao kako ove vrste osa ima na Mediteranu i nisu previše brojne, jedino lokalno uz trule panjeve gdje parazitiraju na kornjašu jednorogu i polažu jaja.
