Skriveni u tonama kamena i žbuke, u sklopu naknadno dograđenih zidova, svjetlo dana ugledali su mramorni stupovi iz vremena cara Dioklecijana, doznao je reporter Dnevnika Nove TV Ivan Kaštelan. 

Upućeni kažu da je u pitanju prava arheološka senzacija. Jednom kada radovi na toj lokaciji budu dovršeni, uklonit će se cijeli zid, uklonit će se pod, kako bi se dobio sasvim novi pogled na Dioklecijanovu palaču.

Rekonstruirana antička lođa tek je dio obnove jugoistočnog kvadranta Dioklecijanove palače, s kojom se započelo nakon desetljeća zahtjevnih priprema.

"To je zapravo za Splićane episkopija Splita, od sedmog stoljeća, to je izvod iz matične knjige rođenih grada. I, dakako, sjedište prvog cara Dioklecijana, njegove najintimnije prostorije", kazao je Radoslav Bužančić iz Konzervatorskog odjela Split za Dnevnik Nove TV.

Istraživanja su bila zaustavljena prije pola stoljeća zbog problema sa statikom zgrada iznad Podruma. Dio toga problema sada je riješen.

"Povezat ćemo više prostora unutar grada upravo preko podruma i otvorit ćemo više toga prema gradu upravo preko ovih prostora koji se onda spajaju na srednjovjekovne da bismo onda došli do nekih novih etaža", kazala je Branka Brekalo, v.d. ravnateljica Muzeja Grada Splita za Dnevnik Nove TV. 

Podrumi Dioklecijanove palače prostiru se pedeset dvorana, ukupno na više od sedam tisuća metara četvornih. Iako je istraživanje počelo 1955. godine, još je dvadeset pet posto tih dvorana zatrpano. Ali uskoro započinju istraživanja.

"U kojemu se nalazi upisana genetska povijest Splita od Dioklecijanove palače do praktički današnjih dana. Najveće je blago to što ćemo naraštajima arheologa omogućiti da sloj po sloj dođu do onih podataka o kojima nam izvori i povijest šute", kazao je Bužančić.

Skriveni u tonama kamena i žbuke, u sklopu naknadno dograđenih zidova, svjetlo dana ugledali su mramorni stupovi iz vremena cara Dioklecijana, doznao je reporter Dnevnika Nove TV Ivan Kaštelan. 

Upućeni kažu da je u pitanju prava arheološka senzacija. Jednom kada radovi na toj lokaciji budu dovršeni, uklonit će se cijeli zid, uklonit će se pod, kako bi se dobio sasvim novi pogled na Dioklecijanovu palaču.

Rekonstruirana antička lođa tek je dio obnove jugoistočnog kvadranta Dioklecijanove palače, s kojom se započelo nakon desetljeća zahtjevnih priprema.

"To je zapravo za Splićane episkopija Splita, od sedmog stoljeća, to je izvod iz matične knjige rođenih grada. I, dakako, sjedište prvog cara Dioklecijana, njegove najintimnije prostorije", kazao je Radoslav Bužančić iz Konzervatorskog odjela Split za Dnevnik Nove TV.

Istraživanja su bila zaustavljena prije pola stoljeća zbog problema sa statikom zgrada iznad Podruma. Dio toga problema sada je riješen.

"Povezat ćemo više prostora unutar grada upravo preko podruma i otvorit ćemo više toga prema gradu upravo preko ovih prostora koji se onda spajaju na srednjovjekovne da bismo onda došli do nekih novih etaža", kazala je Branka Brekalo, v.d. ravnateljica Muzeja Grada Splita za Dnevnik Nove TV. 

Podrumi Dioklecijanove palače prostiru se pedeset dvorana, ukupno na više od sedam tisuća metara četvornih. Iako je istraživanje počelo 1955. godine, još je dvadeset pet posto tih dvorana zatrpano. Ali uskoro započinju istraživanja.

"U kojemu se nalazi upisana genetska povijest Splita od Dioklecijanove palače do praktički današnjih dana. Najveće je blago to što ćemo naraštajima arheologa omogućiti da sloj po sloj dođu do onih podataka o kojima nam izvori i povijest šute", kazao je Bužančić.

Arheološka senzacija u Splitu: Prve snimke antičkih stupova koji su stoljećima bili skriveni pod tonama kamena! Istraživanja bila zaustavljena prije 50 godina

Skriveni u tonama kamena i žbuke, u sklopu naknadno dograđenih zidova, svjetlo dana ugledali su mramorni stupovi iz vremena cara Dioklecijana, doznao je reporter Dnevnika Nove TV Ivan Kaštelan. 

Upućeni kažu da je u pitanju prava arheološka senzacija. Jednom kada radovi na toj lokaciji budu dovršeni, uklonit će se cijeli zid, uklonit će se pod, kako bi se dobio sasvim novi pogled na Dioklecijanovu palaču.

Rekonstruirana antička lođa tek je dio obnove jugoistočnog kvadranta Dioklecijanove palače, s kojom se započelo nakon desetljeća zahtjevnih priprema.

"To je zapravo za Splićane episkopija Splita, od sedmog stoljeća, to je izvod iz matične knjige rođenih grada. I, dakako, sjedište prvog cara Dioklecijana, njegove najintimnije prostorije", kazao je Radoslav...
