Žensko tijelo prilično je izbirljivo kad je u pitanju prihvaćanje sperme, tvrde australski znanstvenici sa sveučilišta u Adelaideu nakon provedene studije.

Prof. Sarah Robertson, koja je vodila studiju, otkrila je da sperma sadrži “signalne molekule” koje aktiviraju promjene imuniteta u ženskom tijelu i zbog čega ono prihvaća određenu spermu.

Neka sperma, međutim, ne aktivira takve promjene pa stručnjaci smatraju da je žensko tijelo zapravo “izbirljivo” kad je riječ o prihvaćanju sperme, kazala je prof. Robertson.

“Sperma ima signale koji povećavaju mogućnost oplodnje, dok žensko tijelo ima sigurnosni sistem koji nadzire koju spermu će prihvatiti, a koju ne. Stoga kod nekih parova teško dolazi do začeća budući da muške ‘signalne molekule’ nisu dovoljno snažne ili je žensko tijelo jednostavno previše izbirljivo”, pojasnila je Robertson.

Rizik da ne dođe do začeća povećava se ako žena u posljednja tri mjeseca nije bila u kontaktu s partnerovom spermom.

“Nekada smo mislili da unatoč partnerovoj zdravoj spermi ne dolazi do začeća jer je problem kod žene. No sada smo otkrili da to nije uvijek slučaj”, kazala je profesorica i dodala da studija ide dalje u namjeri da poboljša liječenje neplodnosti i smanji broj spontanih pobačaja.

Žensko tijelo prilično je izbirljivo kad je u pitanju prihvaćanje sperme, tvrde australski znanstvenici sa sveučilišta u Adelaideu nakon provedene studije.

Prof. Sarah Robertson, koja je vodila studiju, otkrila je da sperma sadrži “signalne molekule” koje aktiviraju promjene imuniteta u ženskom tijelu i zbog čega ono prihvaća određenu spermu.

Neka sperma, međutim, ne aktivira takve promjene pa stručnjaci smatraju da je žensko tijelo zapravo “izbirljivo” kad je riječ o prihvaćanju sperme, kazala je prof. Robertson.

“Sperma ima signale koji povećavaju mogućnost oplodnje, dok žensko tijelo ima sigurnosni sistem koji nadzire koju spermu će prihvatiti, a koju ne. Stoga kod nekih parova teško dolazi do začeća budući da muške ‘signalne molekule’ nisu dovoljno snažne ili je žensko tijelo jednostavno previše izbirljivo”, pojasnila je Robertson.

Rizik da ne dođe do začeća povećava se ako žena u posljednja tri mjeseca nije bila u kontaktu s partnerovom spermom.

“Nekada smo mislili da unatoč partnerovoj zdravoj spermi ne dolazi do začeća jer je problem kod žene. No sada smo otkrili da to nije uvijek slučaj”, kazala je profesorica i dodala da studija ide dalje u namjeri da poboljša liječenje neplodnosti i smanji broj spontanih pobačaja.
