National Geographic snimio je nedavno priču o Golom otoku, koju potpisuje nizozemski fotograf Bob Thissen. Nakon što je proveo tamo nekoliko dana, svoje iskustvo je opisao za Daily Mail.

"Zatvorenici su tamo bili mučeni, a bivši zatvorenici su ga opisali kao živi pakao. U ovom zatvoru su bili i ljudi koji nisu bili krivi ni za što. Ćelije su bile sićušne i mračne, a uvjeti nepodnošljivi. Boravak na ovome mjestu natjera vas da se zapitate kako su se ti ljudi osjećali ovdje. Teško je reći koliko je točno ćelija bilo jer su neke zgrade potpuno srušene, ali rekao bih da je, između 1949. i 1989. godine, na Golom otoku bilo oko 50 tisuća zatvorenika", rekao je Nizozemac.

"Čak i kad samo šetate uokolo, bez da znate išta o tome što se ovdje događalo, atmosfera je jeziva. Vegetaciju na ovom otoku možete zaboraviti, tu nema apsolutno ničega. Tako je i dobio ime, to je doslovno goli otok na kojem nema nimalo vegetacije", ispričao je, užasnut onime što je vidio.

National Geographic je otok na kojega je Tito slao svoje političke neistomišljenike prozvao 'Hrvatskim Alcatrazom', a u priči se navodi i kako su zatvorenici umirali u 'teškim mukama', često od posljedica batina kojima su 'preodgajali' jedni druge, što im je i bio zadatak.

National Geographic snimio je nedavno priču o Golom otoku, koju potpisuje nizozemski fotograf Bob Thissen. Nakon što je proveo tamo nekoliko dana, svoje iskustvo je opisao za Daily Mail.

"Zatvorenici su tamo bili mučeni, a bivši zatvorenici su ga opisali kao živi pakao. U ovom zatvoru su bili i ljudi koji nisu bili krivi ni za što. Ćelije su bile sićušne i mračne, a uvjeti nepodnošljivi. Boravak na ovome mjestu natjera vas da se zapitate kako su se ti ljudi osjećali ovdje. Teško je reći koliko je točno ćelija bilo jer su neke zgrade potpuno srušene, ali rekao bih da je, između 1949. i 1989. godine, na Golom otoku bilo oko 50 tisuća zatvorenika", rekao je Nizozemac.

"Čak i kad samo šetate uokolo, bez da znate išta o tome što se ovdje događalo, atmosfera je jeziva. Vegetaciju na ovom otoku možete zaboraviti, tu nema apsolutno ničega. Tako je i dobio ime, to je doslovno goli otok na kojem nema nimalo vegetacije", ispričao je, užasnut onime što je vidio.

National Geographic je otok na kojega je Tito slao svoje političke neistomišljenike prozvao 'Hrvatskim Alcatrazom', a u priči se navodi i kako su zatvorenici umirali u 'teškim mukama', često od posljedica batina kojima su 'preodgajali' jedni druge, što im je i bio zadatak.
