Iako nije tajna da je važno jesti hranu koja je hranjiva i korisna za naše zdravlje, mnogi će pretpostaviti da dobar učinak na zdravlje ima i ako samo dovoljno vježbamo. Međutim, novo istraživanje pokazalo je da redovito konzumiranje nezdrave hrane može povećati rizik za razvoj fatalnih kardiovaskularnih bolesti unatoč redovitom vježbanju, piše Živim.

U istraživanju znanstvenika sa Sveučilišta Sydney, koje je objavljeno u BMJ Sports Medicine, pokazalo se da je prehrana niske kvalitete povećala rizik od smrti. Uz to, oni koji su se nekvalitetno hranili imali su 19 posto veći rizik od razvoja kardiovaskularnih bolesti i 27 posto veći rizik od razvoja raka povezanih s debljinom. Koristili su podatke više od 340 tisuća Britanaca prikupljene tijekom 11 godina i zaključili da nekvalitetna prehrana sadrži više crvenog mesa i prerađene hrane, a nedovoljno voća, povrća ili ribe. S druge strane kvalitetna prehrana uključuje najmanje četiri i pol šalice voća i povrća dnevno i najmanje dvije porcije ribe tjedno. Prerađeno meso savjetuje se ne jesti uopće ili najviše dvije porcije tjedno, a crveno meso tek povremeno. Nakon analize podataka istraživači su otkrili da zdrava prehrana i vježbanje smanjuju rizik od smrtonosnih bolesti za 17 posto.

- Najbolje je vježbati i zdravo se hraniti jer to nadopunjuje naš cjelokupni zdrav način života - dodaje Hunnes i napominje da što se dosljednije držimo zdrave prehrane i što dosljednije vježbamo, "to smo dosljednije zdravi".

Iako nije tajna da je važno jesti hranu koja je hranjiva i korisna za naše zdravlje, mnogi će pretpostaviti da dobar učinak na zdravlje ima i ako samo dovoljno vježbamo. Međutim, novo istraživanje pokazalo je da redovito konzumiranje nezdrave hrane može povećati rizik za razvoj fatalnih kardiovaskularnih bolesti unatoč redovitom vježbanju, piše Živim.

U istraživanju znanstvenika sa Sveučilišta Sydney, koje je objavljeno u BMJ Sports Medicine, pokazalo se da je prehrana niske kvalitete povećala rizik od smrti. Uz to, oni koji su se nekvalitetno hranili imali su 19 posto veći rizik od razvoja kardiovaskularnih bolesti i 27 posto veći rizik od razvoja raka povezanih s debljinom. Koristili su podatke više od 340 tisuća Britanaca prikupljene tijekom 11 godina i zaključili da nekvalitetna prehrana sadrži više crvenog mesa i prerađene hrane, a nedovoljno voća, povrća ili ribe. S druge strane kvalitetna prehrana uključuje najmanje četiri i pol šalice voća i povrća dnevno i najmanje dvije porcije ribe tjedno. Prerađeno meso savjetuje se ne jesti uopće ili najviše dvije porcije tjedno, a crveno meso tek povremeno. Nakon analize podataka istraživači su otkrili da zdrava prehrana i vježbanje smanjuju rizik od smrtonosnih bolesti za 17 posto.

- Jako je lako nezdravom prehranom nadmašiti pozitivne učinke vježbanja - kaže za portal Eat This, Not That, doc. dr. Dana Ellis Hunnes, klinička dijetetičarka na UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.

- Najbolje je vježbati i zdravo se hraniti jer to nadopunjuje naš cjelokupni zdrav način života - dodaje Hunnes i napominje da što se dosljednije držimo zdrave prehrane i što dosljednije vježbamo, "to smo dosljednije zdravi".

Iako nije tajna da je važno jesti hranu koja je hranjiva i korisna za naše zdravlje, mnogi će pretpostaviti da dobar učinak na zdravlje ima i ako samo dovoljno vježbamo. Međutim, novo istraživanje pokazalo je da redovito konzumiranje nezdrave hrane može povećati rizik za razvoj fatalnih kardiovaskularnih bolesti unatoč redovitom vježbanju, piše Živim.

U istraživanju znanstvenika sa Sveučilišta Sydney, koje je objavljeno u BMJ Sports Medicine, pokazalo se da je prehrana niske kvalitete povećala rizik od smrti. Uz to, oni koji su se nekvalitetno hranili imali su 19 posto veći rizik od razvoja kardiovaskularnih bolesti i 27 posto veći rizik od razvoja raka povezanih s debljinom.
