Godinu dana nakon što je pandemija uzela maha diljem svijeta dosta toga smo uspjeli shvatiti o funkcioniranju Covida-19. Znamo poprilično dobro kako se prenosi, koliko dugo smo zarazni i koje kontakte treba smatrati bliskima. U međuvremenu je proizvedeno i cjepivo, ali jedna stvar liječnicima i dalje nije jasna- dugi Covid, piše Times of India.
Dugi Covid odnosi se na skupinu simptoma koje ljudi nastavljaju osjećati čak i nakon što su preboljeli zarazu. Vrijeme oporavka se u međuvremenu skratilo s 14 na 10 dana, tj. riječ je o periodu kada se pacijenti smatraju potencijalnim širiteljima. Dugi Covid se odnosi na one ljude koji osjećaju posljedice čak i nakon osam, ili po nekima 12 tjedana od dana kada su uočili prve simptome. Prije toga normalno je da se pacijenti osjećaju izmoreno, nemaju miris i sl.
Pacijenti koji imaju dugi Covid su oni kojima su trajno oštećeni neki organi, npr. pluća, srce ili bubrezi. Također riječ je i o ljudima koji nisu pretrpjeli trajna oštećenja organa, a ipak se osjećaju loše, slabo ili imaju moždanu maglicu i ne mogu normalno funkcionirati.
Najčešći simptomi dugog Covida:
- Teškoće u disanju
- Bol u zglobovima
- Bol u prsima
- Gubitak okusa i / ili mirisa
- Umor
- Moždana maglica
Novootkriveni simptomi dugog Covida
Prema novom istraživanju objavljenom u časopisu Nature Medicine, skupina istraživača je otkrila da većina bolesnika s dugim Covidom može imati i bolove u prsima, lupanja srca, moždane udare i komplikacije povezane s krvnim ugrušcima u plućima.
Elaine Y. Wan, jedna od koautorica studije, tvrdi da su pacijenti prijavljivali ove simptome čak nekoliko tjedana i mjeseci nakon pozitivnog Covid testa.
"Kad pričamo o Covidu-19, mislimo uglavnom na respiratornu bolest, ali čak i nakon što se pacijenti oporave od respiratorne bolesti, oni i dalje mogu kliničke simptome povezane s drugim organskim sustavima", dodala je Wan.
Ani Nalbandian, druga koautorica studije je rekla kako dugi Covid ne mora imati veze s ozbiljnošću akutne infekcije. Zbog toga se znanstvenici slažu da bi se više brige trebalo posvetiti pacijentima koji imaju post koronavirus simptome te da ih treba shvatiti vrlo ozbiljno. Svima onima koji se osjećaju loše poručuju da se odmah jave svojim liječnicima.

Godinu dana nakon što je pandemija uzela maha diljem svijeta dosta toga smo uspjeli shvatiti o funkcioniranju Covida-19. Znamo poprilično dobro kako se prenosi, koliko dugo smo zarazni i koje kontakte treba smatrati bliskima. U međuvremenu je proizvedeno i cjepivo, ali jedna stvar liječnicima i dalje nije jasna- dugi Covid, piše Times of India.
Dugi Covid odnosi se na skupinu simptoma koje ljudi nastavljaju osjećati čak i nakon što su preboljeli zarazu. Vrijeme oporavka se u međuvremenu skratilo s 14 na 10 dana, tj. riječ je o periodu kada se pacijenti smatraju potencijalnim širiteljima. Dugi Covid se odnosi na one ljude koji osjećaju posljedice čak i nakon osam, ili po nekima 12 tjedana od dana kada su uočili prve simptome. Prije toga normalno je da se pacijenti osjećaju izmoreno, nemaju miris i sl.
Pacijenti koji imaju dugi Covid su oni kojima su trajno oštećeni neki organi, npr. pluća, srce ili bubrezi. Također riječ je i o ljudima koji nisu pretrpjeli trajna oštećenja organa, a ipak se osjećaju loše, slabo ili imaju moždanu maglicu i ne mogu normalno funkcionirati.
Najčešći simptomi dugog Covida:
- Teškoće u disanju
- Bol u zglobovima
- Bol u prsima
- Gubitak okusa i / ili mirisa
- Umor
- Moždana maglica
Novootkriveni simptomi dugog Covida
Prema novom istraživanju objavljenom u časopisu Nature Medicine, skupina istraživača je otkrila da većina bolesnika s dugim Covidom može imati i bolove u prsima, lupanja srca, moždane udare i komplikacije povezane s krvnim ugrušcima u plućima.
Elaine Y. Wan, jedna od koautorica studije, tvrdi da su pacijenti prijavljivali ove simptome čak nekoliko tjedana i mjeseci nakon pozitivnog Covid testa.
"Kad pričamo o Covidu-19, mislimo uglavnom na respiratornu bolest, ali čak i nakon što se pacijenti oporave od respiratorne bolesti, oni i dalje mogu kliničke simptome povezane s drugim organskim sustavima", dodala je Wan.
Ani Nalbandian, druga koautorica studije je rekla kako dugi Covid ne mora imati veze s ozbiljnošću akutne infekcije. Zbog toga se znanstvenici slažu da bi se više brige trebalo posvetiti pacijentima koji imaju post koronavirus simptome te da ih treba shvatiti vrlo ozbiljno. Svima onima koji se osjećaju loše poručuju da se odmah jave svojim liječnicima.
