Ljudi koji spadaju u kategoriju starijih građana nisu samo podložniji oboljenju od koronavirusa, već pokazuju i neke simptome neuobičajene za ostalu zaraženu populaciju.

Baš kao što se pisalo kako je gubitak njuha specifičan za mlađe ljude koji su se pokazali pozitivnima na bolest Covid-19, no ne pokazuju mnogo drugih simptoma, tako i oni stariji od 65 godina reagiraju na specifičan način, i to vrlo rano, piše CNN.

- U poodmaklim godinama, tijelo ne odgovara na isti način na bolesti, kao što se mijenja i regulacija temperature - pridodaje dr. Joseph Ouslander.

- Skrivena kronična bolest može zamaskirati reakciju na infekciju. Neki stariji ljudi zbog prijašnjih stanja, poput moždanih udara, mogu imati promijenjen refleks kašlja. I ostale kognitivne posljedice teških bolesti mogu utjecati na nemogućnost da komuniciraju svoje druge simptome - dodaje.

Zato je važno da osoba koja skrbi o starijima i nemoćnima primijeti rane znakove bolesti Covid-19. Naime, stanje im se može naglo pogoršati u vrlo kratkom periodu.

Liječnici kao primjer navode slučaj 80-godišnjaka pozitivnog na koronavirus. Bolovao je od srčane bolesti, dijabetesa i kognitivnog poremećaja. Jedini respiratorni simptom bilo je - povremeno šmrcanje.

Nakon što je njegova supruga zvala hitnu pomoć, bolničari su zaključili da je gospodin u redu. Nakon još jednog poziva sutradan, odveli su ga u bolnicu i saznali da je pozitivan na Covid-19.

Teško dezorijentirani, skloni kolabiranju, dehidrirani. Tako svoje starije pacijente s koronavirusom opisuju liječnici za CNN. Mučnina i povraćanje također su česti, ali ono što iznenađuje izostanak je kašljanja, kihanja, respiratornih tegoba. Bez povišene temperature i kratkog daha.

Liječnici se sada trude pojedinačne simptome grupirati i konačno utvrditi zašto kod starijih osoba one respiratorne tegobe u nekim slučajevima izostaju. Posebno komplicirana postaje utvrditi dijagnozu kod starijih osoba budući da ih u nekim slučajevima možete, samo kako biste ih testirali, izložiti dodatnoj opasnosti.

Ljudi koji spadaju u kategoriju starijih građana nisu samo podložniji oboljenju od koronavirusa, već pokazuju i neke simptome neuobičajene za ostalu zaraženu populaciju.

Baš kao što se pisalo kako je gubitak njuha specifičan za mlađe ljude koji su se pokazali pozitivnima na bolest Covid-19, no ne pokazuju mnogo drugih simptoma, tako i oni stariji od 65 godina reagiraju na specifičan način, i to vrlo rano, piše CNN.

Pisati o simptomima kad smo duboko zagazili u četvrti mjesec borbe protiv virusa možda može djelovati neshvatljivo. No kako je riječ o novoj vrsti zaraze, podaci ne iznenađuju. Ovi, specifično, dolaze od liječnika koji su nakon prikupljenih studija zaključili da mnogi umirovljenici pozitivni na Covid pokazuju slične simptome.

Oni su "atipični", stoji u izvješću. Simptomi koji se pojavljuju kod većine pacijenata su, ponavljamo, povišena temperatura, kratak dah i suhi kašalj. No stariji ljudi često te znakove - ne pokazuju.

Umjesto njih, starija osoba kao najranije znakove može pokazati promjenu u ponašanju, konfuziju, kao i gubitak apetita. Gubi orijentaciju, hvata ju mantavica, što može prouzrokovati i padanje u nesvjesticu. Posljednji simptom naročito je opasan jer gotovo u pravilu kod starije osobe uzrokuje oštećenje i lom.

- Zbog svojega stanja i drugih dijagnoza, starija osoba može simptome pokazati i na drugi način. Imaju drugačiji imunološki odgovor - objašnjava dr. Camille Vaughan, šefica Odjela za gerijatriju u sveučilišnoj bolnici Emory.

- U poodmaklim godinama, tijelo ne odgovara na isti način na bolesti, kao što se mijenja i regulacija temperature - pridodaje dr. Joseph Ouslander.

- Skrivena kronična bolest može zamaskirati reakciju na infekciju. Neki stariji ljudi zbog prijašnjih stanja, poput moždanih udara, mogu imati promijenjen refleks kašlja. I ostale kognitivne posljedice teških bolesti mogu utjecati na nemogućnost da komuniciraju svoje druge simptome - dodaje.

Zato je važno da osoba koja skrbi o starijima i nemoćnima primijeti rane znakove bolesti Covid-19. Naime, stanje im se može naglo pogoršati u vrlo kratkom periodu.

Liječnici kao primjer navode slučaj 80-godišnjaka pozitivnog na koronavirus. Bolovao je od srčane bolesti, dijabetesa i kognitivnog poremećaja. U roku od par dana od zaraze prestao je hodati, nije mogao kontrolirati mjehur te je pokazivao znakove ozbiljne letargije. Nije imao teperaturu, nije ni kašljao. Jedini respiratorni simptom bilo je - povremeno šmrcanje.

Nakon što je njegova supruga zvala hitnu pomoć, bolničari su zaključili da je gospodin u redu. Nakon još jednog poziva sutradan, odveli su ga u bolnicu i saznali da je pozitivan na Covid-19.

Teško dezorijentirani, skloni kolabiranju, dehidrirani. Tako svoje starije pacijente s koronavirusom opisuju liječnici za CNN. Mučnina i povraćanje također su česti, ali ono što iznenađuje izostanak je kašljanja, kihanja, respiratornih tegoba. Bez povišene temperature i kratkog daha.

Liječnici se sada trude pojedinačne simptome grupirati i konačno utvrditi zašto kod starijih osoba one respiratorne tegobe u nekim slučajevima izostaju. Posebno komplicirana postaje utvrditi dijagnozu kod starijih osoba budući da ih u nekim slučajevima možete, samo kako biste ih testirali, izložiti dodatnoj opasnosti.

Ljudi koji spadaju u kategoriju starijih građana nisu samo podložniji oboljenju od koronavirusa, već pokazuju i neke simptome neuobičajene za ostalu zaraženu populaciju.

Baš kao što se pisalo kako je gubitak njuha specifičan za mlađe ljude koji su se pokazali pozitivnima na bolest Covid-19, no ne pokazuju mnogo drugih simptoma, tako i oni stariji od 65 godina reagiraju na specifičan način, i to vrlo rano, piše CNN.

Pisati o simptomima kad smo duboko zagazili u četvrti mjesec borbe protiv virusa možda može djelovati neshvatljivo. No kako je riječ o novoj vrsti zaraze, podaci ne iznenađuju. Ovi, specifično, dolaze od liječnika koji su nakon prikupljenih studija zaključili da mnogi umirovljenici pozitivni na Covid pokazuju slične simptome.
