Od početka pandemije svako toliko oboljeli su prijavljivali neke nove simptome - otpadanje kose, crvenilo nožnih prstiju, osip. Već neko vrijeme nismo naišli ni na jedan novi tome slični simptom do 'Covid jezika', vrlo ružne, da ne kažemo gadljive pojave. Liječnici su potvrdili da ga uzrokuje koronavirus.
Epidemiolog Tim Spector sa sveučilišta King's College London predvodi studiju o simptomima prouzrokovanim koronavirusom i jučer je na svom Twitter profilu objavio fotografiju koja prikazuje opisano stanje. Riječ je o posljedicama Covida-19, a neki pacijenti su prijavili i čireve u usnoj šupljini.
“Jedan od petero zaraženih ljudi još uvijek ima manje uobičajene simptome koji se ne nalaze na službenoj listi - poput kožnog osipa. A u zadnje vrijeme susrećemo se sa sve većim brojem 'Covid jezika' i neobičnih čireva u usnoj šupljini,” napisao je.

Gabriel Scally, predsjednik epidemiologije i javnog zdravstva Kraljevskog medicinskog društva kazao je za Sun kako se slični simptomi već neko vrijeme povezuju s Covidom-19.
“Virus je problematičan za liječenje jer uzrokuje posljedice u tako širokom obujmu i na različitim dijelovima tijela. Medicinski naziv za oteknuti jezik je glositis, uključuje i 'malinasti jezik', a javlja se kod različitih stanja, odnosno bolesti poput virusa herpesa koje napadaju naš imunosni sustav.”
Promjene na jeziku uključujući bol, promjenu boje, oteknuće ili neobičnu teksturu ponekad mogu biti posljedica neke druge opasnije bolesti, a ne samo nehigijene usne šupljine.
Primjerice, bijeli jezik često su samo naslage hrane, bakterija i mrtvih stanica, no mogu biti znak bolesti poput oralne kandidazije, hormonalnih promjena, nedostatka vitamina, a britanski Nacionalni zdravstveni servis (NHS) savjetuje da se u tom slučaju javite liječniku opće prakse.
Sveučilište King's College London zabilježilo je puno rijetkih simptoma koji nisu na listi NHS-a. Jedan od petero ljudi zaraženih Covidom ima kožni osip, a jedan od najčudnijih simptoma vezanih uz promjene na koži su 'Covid prsti' - crvenkaste ili ljubičaste izrasline na prstima ruku i nogu koje su osjetljive, svrbe i/ili stvaranju osjećaj pečenja, što se češće događa kod mlađih bolesnika i pojavljuje se kasnije po razvitku bolesti te može potrajati tjednima nakon. Osim njih javlja se i gubitak sluha, kao i konjuktivitis.

Od početka pandemije svako toliko oboljeli su prijavljivali neke nove simptome - otpadanje kose, crvenilo nožnih prstiju, osip. Već neko vrijeme nismo naišli ni na jedan novi tome slični simptom do 'Covid jezika', vrlo ružne, da ne kažemo gadljive pojave. Liječnici su potvrdili da ga uzrokuje koronavirus.
Epidemiolog Tim Spector sa sveučilišta King's College London predvodi studiju o simptomima prouzrokovanim koronavirusom i jučer je na svom Twitter profilu objavio fotografiju koja prikazuje opisano stanje. Riječ je o posljedicama Covida-19, a neki pacijenti su prijavili i čireve u usnoj šupljini.
“Jedan od petero zaraženih ljudi još uvijek ima manje uobičajene simptome koji se ne nalaze na službenoj listi - poput kožnog osipa. A u zadnje vrijeme susrećemo se sa sve većim brojem 'Covid jezika' i neobičnih čireva u usnoj šupljini,” napisao je.

Gabriel Scally, predsjednik epidemiologije i javnog zdravstva Kraljevskog medicinskog društva kazao je za Sun kako se slični simptomi već neko vrijeme povezuju s Covidom-19.
“Virus je problematičan za liječenje jer uzrokuje posljedice u tako širokom obujmu i na različitim dijelovima tijela. Medicinski naziv za oteknuti jezik je glositis, uključuje i 'malinasti jezik', a javlja se kod različitih stanja, odnosno bolesti poput virusa herpesa koje napadaju naš imunosni sustav.”
Promjene na jeziku uključujući bol, promjenu boje, oteknuće ili neobičnu teksturu ponekad mogu biti posljedica neke druge opasnije bolesti, a ne samo nehigijene usne šupljine.
Primjerice, bijeli jezik često su samo naslage hrane, bakterija i mrtvih stanica, no mogu biti znak bolesti poput oralne kandidazije, hormonalnih promjena, nedostatka vitamina, a britanski Nacionalni zdravstveni servis (NHS) savjetuje da se u tom slučaju javite liječniku opće prakse.
Sveučilište King's College London zabilježilo je puno rijetkih simptoma koji nisu na listi NHS-a. Jedan od petero ljudi zaraženih Covidom ima kožni osip, a jedan od najčudnijih simptoma vezanih uz promjene na koži su 'Covid prsti' - crvenkaste ili ljubičaste izrasline na prstima ruku i nogu koje su osjetljive, svrbe i/ili stvaranju osjećaj pečenja, što se češće događa kod mlađih bolesnika i pojavljuje se kasnije po razvitku bolesti te može potrajati tjednima nakon. Osim njih javlja se i gubitak sluha, kao i konjuktivitis.
