'Jedinu demokraciju na Bliskom Istoku', kako Amerikanci vole tepati Izraelu, posljednjih dana aktivisti za mir opet počinju optuživati za pinkwashing kojeg se promatra kao jedan od oblika kolonijalnog nasilja. Pojam se koristi u različitim kontekstima, ali se posljednjih godina prvenstveno dovodi u vezu s LGBTQ+ pravima koje određene organizacije, korporacije, države ili entiteti koriste kako bi sebe prikazale kao progresivne, moderne i tolerantne te tako opravdale svoje nasilne ili nedemokratske postupke.

Prava istina je da je Izrael je dramatično skrenuo udesno pod Benjaminom Netanyahuom, do te mjere da krajnje desničarska, rasistička, homofobna, vjerska cionistička stranka, koja uključuje frakciju koju je SAD jednom proglasio terorističkom organizacijom zbog nasilnih napada na Arape, sada sjedi u skupštine i potencijalno bi mogla biti dio koalicijske vlade koju vodi Netanyahu, pisao je Slate.

Izrael s druge strane, u kampanjama i odnosima s javnošću sebe promovira kao jedinu inkluzivnu zemlju svoga šireg okruženja, gay Meku Bliskog Istoka, kako bi dobili simpatije Zapada koji sve više osuđuje njihovo kršenje ljudskih prava nad Palestincima. Njihova vlada strateški ističe izraelske trans i gay osobe kako bi se prikazala kao progresivno queer utočište i usmjerila međunarodnu pažnju dalje od ugnjetavanja Palestinaca, koje opisuje kao one kojima je potrebna modernizacija koju će im donijeti upravo oni.

Taj narativ dobro je poznat iz duge kolonijalne povijesti. Opravdanje za osnovnu agendu svakog kolonijalnog ustroja, ekonomsku eksploataciju, je širenje prosvjetiteljstva među primitivnim narodima koji nisu u stanju brinuti se sami za sebe. Riječ je zastarjeloj i rasističkoj retorici koju koristi ponajviše, ali ne i isključivo, desnica na Zapadu, isti oni koji stopiraju progresivne procese, borbu za prava manjina, žena i sl. u svojoj zajednici. To dvoje, iako kontradiktorno, izvrtanjem argumenata postaje jedno drugome saveznik.

Kada se queer osobe ili žene bore za ravnopravnost odbacuje se njihove zahtjeve jer su tobože već ispunjeni. Već nakon što su žene dobile pravo glasa neki su im htjeli pojasniti da je njihova borba gotova, a to čine i danas usprkos brojnim statistikama koje jasno opisuju da smo svjetlosnim godinama daleko i od kakve jednakosti. Ti isti ljudi svrhu feminizma i borbe za prava LGBTQ+ zajednice doživljavaju potrebnom, samo ne u svojoj kući već na primitivnom Bliskom Istoku, u Africi ili u Europi kada se ženama odluči zabraniti što smiju ili ne smiju odijevati tobože misleći na njihov interes. Najrecentniji primjer je zabrana nošenja burki u Švicarskoj.

Pinkwashing podržava mit da je, u ovom slučaju Palestincima, homoseksualnost u potpunosti strana, neprirodno i neprihvatljiva te tako manipulira percepcijom o queer Palestincima unutar njihove zajednice, objavila je organizacija 'Jewish Voice For Peace' u svom izvješću. Kada se prihvaćanje homoseksualnosti izjednačava s identitetom onoga koji čini opresiju njihov položaj se dodatno pogoršava. Baš kao što Putin ili Orban u svojim zemljama provode neliberalne revolucije kako bi stali na kraj 'zapadnjačkom dogmatizmu'. LGBTQ+ Palestinci tada se nalaze rastrgani između osobnog i nacionalnog identiteta uvjeravanjem da ih njihove obitelji i sunarodnjaci mrze čime se pogoršavaju unutarnje podjele. Izrael se tako služi strategijom poznatom još od Julija Cezara - Divide et impera te izvrće narativ u svoju korist - kao da kolonizator najednom može postati onaj koji radi u njihovom najboljem interesu.

U društvima koja žive u neprestanom strahu, u kojima studentima nije omogućeno ići na inozemna sveučilišta, u kojima je ljudima uskraćeno pravo na liječenje i pristup lijekovima te posebno na zaraćenim područjima obespravljeni dodatno gube svoja prava jer njihovi ciljevi padaju u drugi plan, a svako kolonijalno društvo donosi narodu kojeg podčinjava upravo to. Međutim, jedan od najvećih izazova pinkwashingu je upravo queer palestinska zajednica koja otvoreno i javno podržava borbu svoga naroda na slobodu, sigurnost i dostojanstvo. Borba protiv pinkwashinga i ne nasjedanje na takvu propagandu je ključno da bi se prekinulo kolonijalno nasilje.

'Jedinu demokraciju na Bliskom Istoku', kako Amerikanci vole tepati Izraelu, posljednjih dana aktivisti za mir opet počinju optuživati za pinkwashing kojeg se promatra kao jedan od oblika kolonijalnog nasilja. Pojam se koristi u različitim kontekstima, ali se posljednjih godina prvenstveno dovodi u vezu s LGBTQ+ pravima koje određene organizacije, korporacije, države ili entiteti koriste kako bi sebe prikazale kao progresivne, moderne i tolerantne te tako opravdale svoje nasilne ili nedemokratske postupke.

Prava istina je da je Izrael je dramatično skrenuo udesno pod Benjaminom Netanyahuom, do te mjere da krajnje desničarska, rasistička, homofobna, vjerska cionistička stranka, koja uključuje frakciju koju je SAD jednom proglasio terorističkom organizacijom zbog nasilnih napada na Arape, sada sjedi u skupštine i potencijalno bi mogla biti dio koalicijske vlade koju vodi Netanyahu, pisao je Slate.

Izrael s druge strane, u kampanjama i odnosima s javnošću sebe promovira kao jedinu inkluzivnu zemlju svoga šireg okruženja, gay Meku Bliskog Istoka, kako bi dobili simpatije Zapada koji sve više osuđuje njihovo kršenje ljudskih prava nad Palestincima. Njihova vlada strateški ističe izraelske trans i gay osobe kako bi se prikazala kao progresivno queer utočište i usmjerila međunarodnu pažnju dalje od ugnjetavanja Palestinaca, koje opisuje kao one kojima je potrebna modernizacija koju će im donijeti upravo oni.

Taj narativ dobro je poznat iz duge kolonijalne povijesti. Opravdanje za osnovnu agendu svakog kolonijalnog ustroja, ekonomsku eksploataciju, je širenje prosvjetiteljstva među primitivnim narodima koji nisu u stanju brinuti se sami za sebe. Riječ je zastarjeloj i rasističkoj retorici koju koristi ponajviše, ali ne i isključivo, desnica na Zapadu, isti oni koji stopiraju progresivne procese, borbu za prava manjina, žena i sl. u svojoj zajednici. To dvoje, iako kontradiktorno, izvrtanjem argumenata postaje jedno drugome saveznik.

Kada se queer osobe ili žene bore za ravnopravnost odbacuje se njihove zahtjeve jer su tobože već ispunjeni. Već nakon što su žene dobile pravo glasa neki su im htjeli pojasniti da je njihova borba gotova, a to čine i danas usprkos brojnim statistikama koje jasno opisuju da smo svjetlosnim godinama daleko i od kakve jednakosti. Ti isti ljudi svrhu feminizma i borbe za prava LGBTQ+ zajednice doživljavaju potrebnom, samo ne u svojoj kući već na primitivnom Bliskom Istoku, u Africi ili u Europi kada se ženama odluči zabraniti što smiju ili ne smiju odijevati tobože misleći na njihov interes. Najrecentniji primjer je zabrana nošenja burki u Švicarskoj.

Pinkwashing podržava mit da je, u ovom slučaju Palestincima, homoseksualnost u potpunosti strana, neprirodno i neprihvatljiva te tako manipulira percepcijom o queer Palestincima unutar njihove zajednice, objavila je organizacija 'Jewish Voice For Peace' u svom izvješću. Kada se prihvaćanje homoseksualnosti izjednačava s identitetom onoga koji čini opresiju njihov položaj se dodatno pogoršava. Baš kao što Putin ili Orban u svojim zemljama provode neliberalne revolucije kako bi stali na kraj 'zapadnjačkom dogmatizmu'. LGBTQ+ Palestinci tada se nalaze rastrgani između osobnog i nacionalnog identiteta uvjeravanjem da ih njihove obitelji i sunarodnjaci mrze čime se pogoršavaju unutarnje podjele. Izrael se tako služi strategijom poznatom još od Julija Cezara - Divide et impera te izvrće narativ u svoju korist - kao da kolonizator najednom može postati onaj koji radi u njihovom najboljem interesu.

U društvima koja žive u neprestanom strahu, u kojima studentima nije omogućeno ići na inozemna sveučilišta, u kojima je ljudima uskraćeno pravo na liječenje i pristup lijekovima te posebno na zaraćenim područjima obespravljeni dodatno gube svoja prava jer njihovi ciljevi padaju u drugi plan, a svako kolonijalno društvo donosi narodu kojeg podčinjava upravo to. Međutim, jedan od najvećih izazova pinkwashingu je upravo queer palestinska zajednica koja otvoreno i javno podržava borbu svoga naroda na slobodu, sigurnost i dostojanstvo. Borba protiv pinkwashinga i ne nasjedanje na takvu propagandu je ključno da bi se prekinulo kolonijalno nasilje.
