Tvrtka Toyota je objavila da je napravila veliki tehnološki iskorak zahvaljujući kojem će moći napraviti baterije za električne automobile koje će biti upola lakše, manje i jeftinije od dosadašnjih, piše Guardian.
Drugi najveći proizvođač automobila na svijetu već si je ranije zacrtao plan da do 2025. uvede automobile s naprednim ‘solid-state‘ baterijama.
U utorak je japanska tvrtka rekla da je pojednostavila proizvodnju materijala koji se koristi za izradu takvih baterija, što je značajan korak naprijed koji bi mogao dramatično skratiti vrijeme punjenja baterija i povećati domet vožnje.

David Bailey, profesor poslovne ekonomije na Sveučilištu u Birminghamu, rekao je da bi to, ako su Toyotine tvrdnje utemeljene, mogao biti ključni trenutak za budućnost električnih automobila.
‘Do otkrića se često dolazi u fazi prototipa, no onda je teško to proširiti‘, rekao je. ‘No ako se ovdje radi o istinskom otkriću, to bi moglo promijeniti pravila igre, jer to bi značilo da je otkriven sveti gral baterijskih vozila.‘
Keiji Kaita je rekao da je tvrtka smislila i razvila načine kako baterije učiniti izdržljivijima, te vjeruje da sada može napraviti solid-state bateriju s dometom od 1200 km koja se može napuniti za 10 minuta ili manje.
Kompanija očekuje da će ‘solid state‘ baterije za upotrebu u električnim vozilima moći proizvoditi već 2027. godine.
Solid-state baterije bile bi velika promjena kad su u pitanju električna vozila, jer smanjuju vrijeme vremena punjenja, povećavaju duljinu vožnje i imaju manji rizik od požara povezanih s litij-ionskim baterijama, koje koriste tekući elektrolit.
Međutim, solid-state baterije je oduvijek bilo mnogo teže i skuplje napraviti, što je ograničavalo njihovu komercijalnu primjenu.
Toyota je sada rekla kako vjeruje da bi mogla pojednostaviti proizvodni proces, što bi solid-state baterije učinilo lakšima za proizvodnju od litij-ionskih.
Do sada se smatralo da Toyota zaostaje za konkurentima na tržištu električnih vozila. U lipnju prošle godine tvrtka je povukla 2700 svojih prvih električnih vozila zbog bojazni da bi kotači mogli otpasti, piše Guardian.
Prošlog mjeseca Advertising Standards Authority zabranio je oglase Toyote i Hyundaija zbog preuveličavanja brzine kojom se mogu puniti električni automobili i obmanjivanja potrošača o dostupnosti brzih punionica diljem Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva i Irske.

Do sada se smatralo da Toyota zaostaje za konkurentima na tržištu električnih vozila, ali kompanija ima ambciozni plan
Tvrtka Toyota je objavila da je napravila veliki tehnološki iskorak zahvaljujući kojem će moći napraviti baterije za električne automobile koje će biti upola lakše, manje i jeftinije od dosadašnjih, piše Guardian.
Drugi najveći proizvođač automobila na svijetu već si je ranije zacrtao plan da do 2025. uvede automobile s naprednim ‘solid-state‘ baterijama.
U utorak je japanska tvrtka rekla da je pojednostavila proizvodnju materijala koji se koristi za izradu takvih baterija, što je značajan korak naprijed koji bi mogao dramatično skratiti vrijeme punjenja baterija i povećati domet vožnje.
‘Kod svih naših baterija cilj nam je drastično promijeniti njihovu težinu, veličinu i cijenu‘, rekao je Keiji Kaita, predsjednik istraživačko-razvojnog centra ugljične neutralnosti u Toyoti.

David Bailey, profesor poslovne ekonomije na Sveučilištu u Birminghamu, rekao je da bi to, ako su Toyotine tvrdnje utemeljene, mogao biti ključni trenutak za budućnost električnih automobila.
‘Do otkrića se često dolazi u fazi prototipa, no onda je teško to proširiti‘, rekao je. ‘No ako se ovdje radi o istinskom otkriću, to bi moglo promijeniti pravila igre, jer to bi značilo da je otkriven sveti gral baterijskih vozila.‘
Keiji Kaita je rekao da je tvrtka smislila i razvila načine kako baterije učiniti izdržljivijima, te vjeruje da sada može napraviti solid-state bateriju s dometom od 1200 km koja se može napuniti za 10 minuta ili manje.
Kompanija očekuje da će ‘solid state‘ baterije za upotrebu u električnim vozilima moći proizvoditi već 2027. godine.
Solid-state baterije bile bi velika promjena kad su u pitanju električna vozila, jer smanjuju vrijeme vremena punjenja, povećavaju duljinu vožnje i imaju manji rizik od požara povezanih s litij-ionskim baterijama, koje koriste tekući elektrolit.
Međutim, solid-state baterije je oduvijek bilo mnogo teže i skuplje napraviti, što je ograničavalo njihovu komercijalnu primjenu.
Toyota je sada rekla kako vjeruje da bi mogla pojednostaviti proizvodni proces, što bi solid-state baterije učinilo lakšima za proizvodnju od litij-ionskih.
Do sada se smatralo da Toyota zaostaje za konkurentima na tržištu električnih vozila. U lipnju prošle godine tvrtka je povukla 2700 svojih prvih električnih vozila zbog bojazni da bi kotači mogli otpasti, piše Guardian.
Prošlog mjeseca Advertising Standards Authority zabranio je oglase Toyote i Hyundaija zbog preuveličavanja brzine kojom se mogu puniti električni automobili i obmanjivanja potrošača o dostupnosti brzih punionica diljem Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva i Irske.
