Nije prošlo ni mjesec dana kako smo se oprostili od Alberta Uderza, legendarnog francuskog crtača i izvornog koautora, uz Renea Goscinnyja, možda najpoznatijega francuskog stripa “Asterix i Obelix”, kad evo ti galskog dvojca opet u središtu čitateljskog interesa.

Kako štioci znaju biti (nado)budan svijet, vidjeli smo nedavno kad su u romanu Deana Koontza “The Eyes of Darkness“ iz 1981. pronašli element radnje koji nekako nezgodno korespondira s današnjom svjetskom pošasti, utoliko što se jedan prokrijumčareni virus zvao Wuhan 400 (ali samo u reizdanju iz 2008.; u izvornom iz 1981. je bio ipak samo Gorki 400).

Uglavnom, ovoga puta pod povećalom intrige je 37. album serijala, “Asterix i utrka kola” (Astérix et la Transitalique), i treći kojemu je scenarij potpisao Jean-Yves Ferri, a crtež Didier Conrad. Album je objavljen prije dvije i pol godine, točnije 19. listopada 2017., na više od 20 jezika i početna tiraža bila mu je zavidnih pet milijuna primjeraka.

Neki od njih uspjeli su skrenuti pažnju na sebe ovih dana, zbog imena jednog od natjecatelja utrke, koji je prema taktičkoj shemi Julija Cezara trebao obraniti čast rimskih legija, a koji se zvao, ime zvuči poznato – Coronavirus.

Tema u nedostatku bolje

Međutim, ovaj Coronavirus puno je benigniji od Koontzova, pa i od ovoga koji nas je zatvorio doma.

Radnja ide otprilike ovako: kako bi odgovorio na kritike o lošim cestama Rimskog Carstva, senator Lactus Bifidus dolazi na ideju o utrci duž Apeninskog poluotoka, otvorenoj za sve narode poznatoga svijeta, ne bi li tako dokazao izvrsnost rimskih cesta. Julije Cezar pristaje na ideju, ali pod uvjetom da Rimljani pobijede, inače će Bifidus biti protjeran u Kirenaiku (Libiju).

U Galiji, Asterix i Obelix prate Geriatrixa u zubara u Darioritum, gdje proročica Obelixu predviđa pobjedu u utrci kolima. Obelix na kredit kupuje sportska kola, obustavlja svoju proizvodnju stećaka i uključuje se u utrku, a prate ga Asterix i Dogmatix.

Tijekom utrke, susreću se s galerijom takmaca drugih naroda, kao i s ljudima i kužinom drevne Italije.

U konačnici samo pet ekipa dolazi do ciljne crte, među kojima naša dva Gala za dužinu dvoprega pobjeđuju samog Julija Cezara, koji se u tajnosti pridružio utrci ne bi li spasio čast Rimskog Carstva. Umoran od cijele strke, Obelix ustupa nagradu Asterixu, koji je pak predaje Kušitima (drevno kraljevstvo iz doline Nila), a oni opet Sarmatima (starovjekovnom iranskom narodu).

I tako, iz ruke u ruku, nagrada konačno završava kod Luzitanaca (pradavnih Portugalaca), koji su zapravo bili najgori u pobjedničkoj petorki, i koji umjesto trofeja preferiraju nagradu u sestercijima. Obelix, pak, nastavlja svoj stari posao izrade velikih kamenih oblutaka.
Eto, to je radnja koja je uzbibala čitateljstvo i medije u nedostatku boljih vijesti i tema.

Međutim, ako baš želimo povjeriti nekakvu analogiju francuskom stripu, onda stvari i ne stoje toliko loše. Istina, Coronavirus stvorit će popriličnu frku, neke će natjecatelje izbaciti iz utrke, ali na kraju će sve ipak završiti dobro. I svi ćemo se vratiti svojim poslovima kao i prije.•

Nije prošlo ni mjesec dana kako smo se oprostili od Alberta Uderza, legendarnog francuskog crtača i izvornog koautora, uz Renea Goscinnyja, možda najpoznatijega francuskog stripa “Asterix i Obelix”, kad evo ti galskog dvojca opet u središtu čitateljskog interesa.

Kako štioci znaju biti (nado)budan svijet, vidjeli smo nedavno kad su u romanu Deana Koontza “The Eyes of Darkness“ iz 1981. pronašli element radnje koji nekako nezgodno korespondira s današnjom svjetskom pošasti, utoliko što se jedan prokrijumčareni virus zvao Wuhan 400 (ali samo u reizdanju iz 2008.; u izvornom iz 1981. je bio ipak samo Gorki 400).

Uglavnom, ovoga puta pod povećalom intrige je 37. album serijala, “Asterix i utrka kola” (Astérix et la Transitalique), i treći kojemu je scenarij potpisao Jean-Yves Ferri, a crtež Didier Conrad. Album je objavljen prije dvije i pol godine, točnije 19. listopada 2017., na više od 20 jezika i početna tiraža bila mu je zavidnih pet milijuna primjeraka.

Neki od njih uspjeli su skrenuti pažnju na sebe ovih dana, zbog imena jednog od natjecatelja utrke, koji je prema taktičkoj shemi Julija Cezara trebao obraniti čast rimskih legija, a koji se zvao, ime zvuči poznato – Coronavirus.

Tema u nedostatku bolje

Međutim, ovaj Coronavirus puno je benigniji od Koontzova, pa i od ovoga koji nas je zatvorio doma.

Radnja ide otprilike ovako: kako bi odgovorio na kritike o lošim cestama Rimskog Carstva, senator Lactus Bifidus dolazi na ideju o utrci duž Apeninskog poluotoka, otvorenoj za sve narode poznatoga svijeta, ne bi li tako dokazao izvrsnost rimskih cesta. Julije Cezar pristaje na ideju, ali pod uvjetom da Rimljani pobijede, inače će Bifidus biti protjeran u Kirenaiku (Libiju).

U Galiji, Asterix i Obelix prate Geriatrixa u zubara u Darioritum, gdje proročica Obelixu predviđa pobjedu u utrci kolima. Obelix na kredit kupuje sportska kola, obustavlja svoju proizvodnju stećaka i uključuje se u utrku, a prate ga Asterix i Dogmatix.

Tijekom utrke, susreću se s galerijom takmaca drugih naroda, kao i s ljudima i kužinom drevne Italije.

U konačnici samo pet ekipa dolazi do ciljne crte, među kojima naša dva Gala za dužinu dvoprega pobjeđuju samog Julija Cezara, koji se u tajnosti pridružio utrci ne bi li spasio čast Rimskog Carstva. Umoran od cijele strke, Obelix ustupa nagradu Asterixu, koji je pak predaje Kušitima (drevno kraljevstvo iz doline Nila), a oni opet Sarmatima (starovjekovnom iranskom narodu).

I tako, iz ruke u ruku, nagrada konačno završava kod Luzitanaca (pradavnih Portugalaca), koji su zapravo bili najgori u pobjedničkoj petorki, i koji umjesto trofeja preferiraju nagradu u sestercijima. Obelix, pak, nastavlja svoj stari posao izrade velikih kamenih oblutaka.
Eto, to je radnja koja je uzbibala čitateljstvo i medije u nedostatku boljih vijesti i tema.

Međutim, ako baš želimo povjeriti nekakvu analogiju francuskom stripu, onda stvari i ne stoje toliko loše. Istina, Coronavirus stvorit će popriličnu frku, neke će natjecatelje izbaciti iz utrke, ali na kraju će sve ipak završiti dobro. I svi ćemo se vratiti svojim poslovima kao i prije.•

Nije prošlo ni mjesec dana kako smo se oprostili od Alberta Uderza, legendarnog francuskog crtača i izvornog koautora, uz Renea Goscinnyja, možda najpoznatijega francuskog stripa “Asterix i Obelix”, kad evo ti galskog dvojca opet u središtu čitateljskog interesa.

Kako štioci znaju biti (nado)budan svijet, vidjeli smo nedavno kad su u romanu Deana Koontza “The Eyes of Darkness“ iz 1981. pronašli element radnje koji nekako nezgodno korespondira s današnjom svjetskom pošasti, utoliko što se jedan prokrijumčareni virus zvao Wuhan 400 (ali samo u reizdanju iz 2008.; u izvornom iz 1981. je bio ipak samo Gorki 400).

Uglavnom, ovoga puta pod povećalom intrige je 37. album serijala, “Asterix i utrka kola” (Astérix et la Transitalique), i treći kojemu je scenarij potpisao...
