"Revanša neće biti", poručio je Apollo Creed na kraju prvog "Rockyja", a sam Balboa dodao "Ni ne želim ga". No, revanša je ipak bilo u "Rockyju II" (1979.) sa Sylvesterom Stalloneom u trojnoj funkciji glavnog glumca, scenarista i redatelja koji nastavlja točno tamo gdje je stao original preuzimajući režiju od Johna G. Avildsena.

Iako su svi očekivali da će prvak svijeta u teškoj kategoriji Apollo (Carl Weathers; "Predator") s lakoćom pobijediti anonimca Rockyja, Balboa je pošteno namučio Creeda i nije pao do kraja 15. runde, rječju izveo je čudo. Dok Apollo i publika nestrpljivo čekaju proglašenje pobjednika prilično izjednačena meča, Rockyja ne zanima ishod i on pogledom traži Adrian (Talia Shire; "Kum"), dozivajući njezino ime iz sveg srca.

Rockyju je bilo dovoljno što je stekao respekt i izdržao protiv prvaka s Adrian u svome kutu, izborio se za njezinu ljubav. Ponos, (samo)poštovanje i ljubav njegova su najveća pobjeda. Nakon podsjetnika na iznimno emotivne završne trenutke "Rockyja" ("Reži, Mick!", "Adriaaan!"), priča kreće dalje.

Apollo i Rocky su kolima hitne pomoći prebačeni u bolnicu, gdje Creed ubrzo poriče što je rekao jer "revanš bi mogao vrijediti milijune", a i njegov ego je povrijeđen više od rebara. Ipak, Balboa za revanš ne želi čuti zbog gadno ozlijeđenog oka i trudne Adrian.

I eto početka novog presijecanja filma i stvarnosti, s paralelama između Rockyja i Slya. Izvorni "Rocky" je reflektirao Stalloneov život s pričom o nepoznatom boksaču s dna društvene ljestvice koji dobiva priliku boriti se s prvakom svijeta kao što je Sly, tada "no name" glumac, dobio priliku snimiti film o tom liku.

Obojica su bili podcjenjivani i uživali status gubitnika da bi podjednako iznenadili prometnuvši se u (moralne) pobjednike kad je Rocky ostao na nogama u borbi protiv Apolla, a "Rocky" postao najveći hit 1976. s preko 225 milijuna dolara zarade u svjetskim kinima i osvojio tri Oscara, uključujući onaj za najbolji film, i to u konkurenciji s filmskim Creedovima – "Svim predsjednikovim ljudima", "Taksistom" i "TV mrežom".

Stallone nije odmah pomišljao na nastavak, kao ni Balboa na uzvratni ogled, ali splet okolnosti ih je prisilio na to kad su iskusili pritisak slave i velikih očekivanja. S jedne strane, Sly je doživio neuspjeh s iduća dva filma, dramom "F.I.S.T." i slično žanriranim redateljskim prvijencem "Paradise Alley".

A Rocky je neuspješno pokušao pronaći posao kako bi izdržavao Adrian koju je zaprosio u zoološkom vrtu ispred tigra čija je slika otisnuta i na njegovoj jakni u prizornim vjesnicima "Rockyja III" ("Eye Of The Tiger"). Primjerice, Balboa nema baš talenta za snimanje "after shave" reklame, a u razgovoru za uredski posao pitaju ga "zašto ne boksate?".

Kad mu Paulie (Burt Young; "Kineska četvrt"), prijatelj i Adrianin brat, sredi posao u mesnici, Rocky će uskoro biti otpušten zbog rezanja troškova. Pitanje "zašto ne boksaš?" visi nad glavom Balboe koji strahuje od toga da će se opet vratiti tituli ništarije nakon što je doživio da postane netko i nešto, a identični strahovi zasigurno su proganjali i Stallonea nakon kraha "F.I.S.T.-a" i "Paradise Alley".

Jednostavno, Rocky je bio prisiljen vratiti se onome što najbolje zna, zarađivanju za život šakama, kao i Sly. Kako je Balboa predodređen za boksača, tako je i Stallone predodređen za Rockyja. "Ja sam borac, to je ono što znam", Balboa govori Adrian i moli je "nemoj od mene tražiti da ne budem muškarac" u iskazu veoma nježnog mačizma. I tako je Rocky pristao na revanš, kao što je Sly pristao na nastavak koji, zahvaljujući finoj režiji i karakterizaciji likova, ne djeluje iznuđeno.

"Rocky II" je (dramski) najprirodniji nastavak matičnog serijala uz "Rockyja Balbou" i "Creeda", ujedno i najbolji iza ta dva filma, ali često biva nepravedno zapostavljen, nalazeći se u sjeni originala i dvaju popularnijih, bombastičnih "sequela", napose "Rockyja IV", koji su bili akcijskiji u adrenalinskim montažama nadčovječnih treninga i spektakularnom boksanju s nepobjedivim protivnicima, Clubberom Langom i Ivanom Dragom (Mr. T, Dolph Lundgren).

Prvi nastavak "Rockyja" je ponajprije ljudski, osoban, realističan komad drame, ne populistički boksački spektakl. Balboa je ovdje još uvijek prepoznatljivo i maksimalno poistovjetljivo čovječan, s obje noge čvrsto na zemlji, on se ne sveti zbog trenera i prijatelja, niti bije američke hladnoratovske bitke protiv ruskih terminatora, a film pomiruje sentimentalnu obiteljsku i socijalnu dramu s puno ljudske tragedije (Adrian nakon poroda pada u komu), agonije i mizerije (šljakanje u mesnici, treniranje u poderanim trenirkama u derutnim dvoranama ili na ulici).

Creed ima razvijeniju karakterizaciju od Langa i Drage (ako ne računamo "Creeda II" i redateljsku verziju "Rockyja IV"). Mnogi misle da je u prvom ogledu Rocky pobijedio ili da je ostalo neriješeno i Apollo je postao predmet sprdnje, što boksača ranjenog ponosa ubija u pojam. "Pobijedio sam ga, ali ga nisam potukao", kaže Creed koji želi dokazati sebi i svijetu da je prošli meč bio "slučajnost", pokazati tko je pravi prvak.

Ring je spreman za "Superborbu 2", ali meč se odgađa kad Adrian upadne u komu. Gledatelj tada tone zajedno s junakom i obojici treba nenadmašna glazba Billa Contija da ih digne. Stallone je riskirao s ovakvim sporogorećim pristupom, ali on zna da je Rocky najbolji kao "underdog" i da se za njega još više navija kad ga život porazi i kad životne poraze pretvori u pobjede.

Rizik se isplatio i fitilj emocija dogorijeva do eksplozije u "krv, znoj i suze" klimaksu (trening, borba) nakon što se Adrian probudi iz kome, kaže "Želim da napraviš jednu stvar za mene, pobijedi" i zaliječi Rockyjevo slomljeno srce, upali vatru u njemu. "Jest ćeš munje", obećava Rockyju trener Mickey (Burgess Meredith) i daje mu da hvata kokoš za stjecanje brzine u jednoj od najpamtljivijih scena serijala.

Meč je izvrsno režiran/koreografiran (pohvalio ga je i sam Muhammad Ali, veliki fan filma), definitivno nadahnuće za godinu dana kasnijeg "Razjarenog bika" sa subjektivnim kadrovima Rockyja i Apolla, krvavo-brutalnim šaketanjem, primanjem i eskiviranjem udaraca u usporenim pokretima.

"Superborba 2" uključuje i možda najupečatljiviju boksačku scenu serijala koja se zauvijek usjekla na prvo gledanje filma (prvog pogledanog "Rockyja" ikad) za doček Nove godine sredinom osamdesetih – Balboa i Creed padaju u "slow motionu", a tko prvi ustane je pobjednik.

Međutim, montaža treninga je Rockyja načinila Rockyjem, najviše moćna scena trčanja po ulicama Philadelphije, kad boksača pozdravljaju sugrađani i za njim jure klinci. Tu i tad Rocky je definitivno postao narodski junak, uzor, popkulturna ikona. Sly je napravio više od dobrog nastavka: odveo je Rockyja u legendu.

Stallone ozlijedio prsni mišić

Stallone je treinrajući za film ozlijedio prsni mišić, nakon čega je trebao što manje koristiti lijevu ruku, pa je scenarij promijenjen u to da lijevak Rocky mijenja gard i iznenadi Apolla boksajući desnom rukom. P.S. "Rocky II" se prikazuje 24. srpnja na HTV2 u elitnom večernjem terminu koji je nedjeljom rezerviran za filmove iz Stalloneovog boksačkog serijala.

"Revanša neće biti", poručio je Apollo Creed na kraju prvog "Rockyja", a sam Balboa dodao "Ni ne želim ga". No, revanša je ipak bilo u "Rockyju II" (1979.) sa Sylvesterom Stalloneom u trojnoj funkciji glavnog glumca, scenarista i redatelja koji nastavlja točno tamo gdje je stao original preuzimajući režiju od Johna G. Avildsena.

Iako su svi očekivali da će prvak svijeta u teškoj kategoriji Apollo (Carl Weathers; "Predator") s lakoćom pobijediti anonimca Rockyja, Balboa je pošteno namučio Creeda i nije pao do kraja 15. runde, rječju izveo je čudo. Dok Apollo i publika nestrpljivo čekaju proglašenje pobjednika prilično izjednačena meča, Rockyja ne zanima ishod i on pogledom traži Adrian (Talia Shire; "Kum"), dozivajući njezino ime iz sveg srca.

Rockyju je bilo dovoljno što je stekao respekt i izdržao protiv prvaka s Adrian u svome kutu, izborio se za njezinu ljubav. Ponos, (samo)poštovanje i ljubav njegova su najveća pobjeda. Nakon podsjetnika na iznimno emotivne završne trenutke "Rockyja" ("Reži, Mick!", "Adriaaan!"), priča kreće dalje.

Apollo i Rocky su kolima hitne pomoći prebačeni u bolnicu, gdje Creed ubrzo poriče što je rekao jer "revanš bi mogao vrijediti milijune", a i njegov ego je povrijeđen više od rebara. Ipak, Balboa za revanš ne želi čuti zbog gadno ozlijeđenog oka i trudne Adrian.

I eto početka novog presijecanja filma i stvarnosti, s paralelama između Rockyja i Slya. Izvorni "Rocky" je reflektirao Stalloneov život s pričom o nepoznatom boksaču s dna društvene ljestvice koji dobiva priliku boriti se s prvakom svijeta kao što je Sly, tada "no name" glumac, dobio priliku snimiti film o tom liku.

Obojica su bili podcjenjivani i uživali status gubitnika da bi podjednako iznenadili prometnuvši se u (moralne) pobjednike kad je Rocky ostao na nogama u borbi protiv Apolla, a "Rocky" postao najveći hit 1976. s preko 225 milijuna dolara zarade u svjetskim kinima i osvojio tri Oscara, uključujući onaj za najbolji film, i to u konkurenciji s filmskim Creedovima – "Svim predsjednikovim ljudima", "Taksistom" i "TV mrežom".

Stallone nije odmah pomišljao na nastavak, kao ni Balboa na uzvratni ogled, ali splet okolnosti ih je prisilio na to kad su iskusili pritisak slave i velikih očekivanja. S jedne strane, Sly je doživio neuspjeh s iduća dva filma, dramom "F.I.S.T." i slično žanriranim redateljskim prvijencem "Paradise Alley".

A Rocky je neuspješno pokušao pronaći posao kako bi izdržavao Adrian koju je zaprosio u zoološkom vrtu ispred tigra čija je slika otisnuta i na njegovoj jakni u prizornim vjesnicima "Rockyja III" ("Eye Of The Tiger"). Primjerice, Balboa nema baš talenta za snimanje "after shave" reklame, a u razgovoru za uredski posao pitaju ga "zašto ne boksate?".

Kad mu Paulie (Burt Young; "Kineska četvrt"), prijatelj i Adrianin brat, sredi posao u mesnici, Rocky će uskoro biti otpušten zbog rezanja troškova. Pitanje "zašto ne boksaš?" visi nad glavom Balboe koji strahuje od toga da će se opet vratiti tituli ništarije nakon što je doživio da postane netko i nešto, a identični strahovi zasigurno su proganjali i Stallonea nakon kraha "F.I.S.T.-a" i "Paradise Alley".

Jednostavno, Rocky je bio prisiljen vratiti se onome što najbolje zna, zarađivanju za život šakama, kao i Sly. Kako je Balboa predodređen za boksača, tako je i Stallone predodređen za Rockyja. "Ja sam borac, to je ono što znam", Balboa govori Adrian i moli je "nemoj od mene tražiti da ne budem muškarac" u iskazu veoma nježnog mačizma. I tako je Rocky pristao na revanš, kao što je Sly pristao na nastavak koji, zahvaljujući finoj režiji i karakterizaciji likova, ne djeluje iznuđeno.

"Rocky II" je (dramski) najprirodniji nastavak matičnog serijala uz "Rockyja Balbou" i "Creeda", ujedno i najbolji iza ta dva filma, ali često biva nepravedno zapostavljen, nalazeći se u sjeni originala i dvaju popularnijih, bombastičnih "sequela", napose "Rockyja IV", koji su bili akcijskiji u adrenalinskim montažama nadčovječnih treninga i spektakularnom boksanju s nepobjedivim protivnicima, Clubberom Langom i Ivanom Dragom (Mr. T, Dolph Lundgren).

Prvi nastavak "Rockyja" je ponajprije ljudski, osoban, realističan komad drame, ne populistički boksački spektakl. Balboa je ovdje još uvijek prepoznatljivo i maksimalno poistovjetljivo čovječan, s obje noge čvrsto na zemlji, on se ne sveti zbog trenera i prijatelja, niti bije američke hladnoratovske bitke protiv ruskih terminatora, a film pomiruje sentimentalnu obiteljsku i socijalnu dramu s puno ljudske tragedije (Adrian nakon poroda pada u komu), agonije i mizerije (šljakanje u mesnici, treniranje u poderanim trenirkama u derutnim dvoranama ili na ulici).

Creed ima razvijeniju karakterizaciju od Langa i Drage (ako ne računamo "Creeda II" i redateljsku verziju "Rockyja IV"). Mnogi misle da je u prvom ogledu Rocky pobijedio ili da je ostalo neriješeno i Apollo je postao predmet sprdnje, što boksača ranjenog ponosa ubija u pojam. "Pobijedio sam ga, ali ga nisam potukao", kaže Creed koji želi dokazati sebi i svijetu da je prošli meč bio "slučajnost", pokazati tko je pravi prvak.

Ring je spreman za "Superborbu 2", ali meč se odgađa kad Adrian upadne u komu. Gledatelj tada tone zajedno s junakom i obojici treba nenadmašna glazba Billa Contija da ih digne. Stallone je riskirao s ovakvim sporogorećim pristupom, ali on zna da je Rocky najbolji kao "underdog" i da se za njega još više navija kad ga život porazi i kad životne poraze pretvori u pobjede.

Rizik se isplatio i fitilj emocija dogorijeva do eksplozije u "krv, znoj i suze" klimaksu (trening, borba) nakon što se Adrian probudi iz kome, kaže "Želim da napraviš jednu stvar za mene, pobijedi" i zaliječi Rockyjevo slomljeno srce, upali vatru u njemu. "Jest ćeš munje", obećava Rockyju trener Mickey (Burgess Meredith) i daje mu da hvata kokoš za stjecanje brzine u jednoj od najpamtljivijih scena serijala.

Meč je izvrsno režiran/koreografiran (pohvalio ga je i sam Muhammad Ali, veliki fan filma), definitivno nadahnuće za godinu dana kasnijeg "Razjarenog bika" sa subjektivnim kadrovima Rockyja i Apolla, krvavo-brutalnim šaketanjem, primanjem i eskiviranjem udaraca u usporenim pokretima.

"Superborba 2" uključuje i možda najupečatljiviju boksačku scenu serijala koja se zauvijek usjekla na prvo gledanje filma (prvog pogledanog "Rockyja" ikad) za doček Nove godine sredinom osamdesetih – Balboa i Creed padaju u "slow motionu", a tko prvi ustane je pobjednik.

Međutim, montaža treninga je Rockyja načinila Rockyjem, najviše moćna scena trčanja po ulicama Philadelphije, kad boksača pozdravljaju sugrađani i za njim jure klinci. Tu i tad Rocky je definitivno postao narodski junak, uzor, popkulturna ikona. Sly je napravio više od dobrog nastavka: odveo je Rockyja u legendu.

Stallone ozlijedio prsni mišić

Stallone je treinrajući za film ozlijedio prsni mišić, nakon čega je trebao što manje koristiti lijevu ruku, pa je scenarij promijenjen u to da lijevak Rocky mijenja gard i iznenadi Apolla boksajući desnom rukom. P.S. "Rocky II" se prikazuje 24. srpnja na HTV2 u elitnom večernjem terminu koji je nedjeljom rezerviran za filmove iz Stalloneovog boksačkog serijala.
