Hollywoodski studio Paramount Pictures uključuje se u ratove streaming servisa koje predvodi Netflix. Naime, Paramount 4. ožujka pokreće Paramount Plus, za početak na teritoriju SAD-a i Južne Amerike, a zatim u nordijskim zemljama do kraja tog mjeseca i Australiji polovicom godine.

Legendarna kompanija, dio korporacije Viacom koja se premrežila s CBS-om, ovim potezom će napraviti "prošireno rebrandiranje" servisa CBS All Access. Pokrenut 2014. kao kombinacija "live" streaminga CBS-ova programa, CBS All Access trenutno ima između 8 i 9 milijuna pretplatnika koji bi se automatski trebali "preliti" u Paramount Plus, a streaming platforma će naslijediti TV imovinu u ViacomCBS-ovu vlasništvu, poput MTV-ja, Nickelodeona i Comedy Central.

Broj pretplatnika samo će rasti i bilo je pitanje dana kad će Paramount posegnuti za ovim potezom kao jedan od najvećih filmskih studija koji je ostalim streaming servisima prošle godine prodavao svoje filmove zbog zatvaranja kina uslijed korone. Prodao je "The Trial Of Chicago 7" i "The Loverbirds" Netflixu, "The United States vs. Billie Holiday" Huluu, a "Without Remorse", "Coming 2 America" i "The Tomorrow War" Amazonu, dakle redom prestižne filmove ili potencijalne (kino)hitove.

Sada to Paramount više neće morati, premda (svaka čast!) odbija plasirati nestrpljvo očekivani nastavak blockbustera "Top Gun" istovremeno u kina i na streaming, što je počeo raditi Warner Bros preko platforme HBO Max, kako bi HBO na taj način postao najveći konkurent Netflixu i Disney+.

HBO Max je zasad dostupan samo u Americi, ali navodno bi do kraja godine trebao stići i u Europu, a njegov katalog za 2021., zahvaljujući Warnerovim nadolazećim blockbusterima, poput nove "Dine", četvrtog "Matrixa" i megaspektakla "Godzilla vs. Kong", spada među najbogatije.

Warner i Paramount su krenuli tragom studija Walt Disney Pictures koji posjeduje Marvelove franšize, Pixar, "Ratove zvijezda", ali i sve brendove koje je naslijedio od kupljenog 20th Century Foxa ("Predator", "Alien", "Umri muški", "X-Men"...). Disney je pokrenuo Disney+ za bitku s moćnim Netflixom, ali i Amazonom, Apple TV+...

Prije nego što je Warner predstavio svoj katalog za 2021., Disney je također imao bombastičnu najavu nadolazećih projekata iz svemira "Star Warsa" i Marvela, filmova i serija ("The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", "Loki"...), te Pixarovih animiranih filmova. Disney+ je trenutno blizu 90 milijuna pretplatnika, zahvaljujući svom najvećem TV hitu "Mandalorian" iz svijeta "Ratova zvijezda", kojeg bi možda mogao sustići ili prestići Marvelov "WandaVision", a također zasad bez najvećeg dijela Europe, kao HBO Max.

No, vjerojatno će prije ili kasnije pokoriti i ovaj dio svijeta, cijeli planet također. Zahvaljujući Marvelovim kinohitovima, "Ratovima zvijezda" i Pixarovim crtićima, Disney je posljednjih godina vodeći igrač na američkom i svjetskom box-officeu, sa sedam recentnih filmova koji su ponaosob utržili više od milijardu dolara u svjetskim kinima, a tipuje to postati i na streamingu, ne odričući se pritom kinodistribucije megablockbustera poput "Black Widow", upravo zbog još uvijek najveće zarade, imali oni istovremeno premijeru na Disney+ ili ne.

Čelnici Disneyja tipuju imati 230 do 260 milijuna Disney+ pretplatnika do kraja 2024. godine, odnosno 300 do 350, ako se uračunaju njihovi Hulu i ESPN Plus. Ilustracije radi, Netflixu je trebalo deset godina da dosegne 203,7 milijuna pretplatnika u svijetu, od čega je najveći rast postigao prošle godine, a ove bi mogao dosegnuti vrhunac, sudeći po nedavnoj spektakularnoj najavi filmova.

Ostalima se nije lako nositi s ovim streamig titanima, ali Apple TV+ i Amazon Prime Video se ne daju. Amazon Prime je krajem prošle godine imao hitove s nastavkom "Borata" i drugom sezonom serije "The Boys", friško je plasirao potencijalnog oskarovskog kandidata "Jedna noć u Miamiju", a 5. veljače očekuje i premijeru filma "Bliss" s Owenom Wilsonom i Salmom Hayek koji se snimao u Splitu.

Star samo godinu i nešto dana, Apple TV+ je momentalno u blagom problemu: prema nedavnom istraživanju, većina njegovih prijavljenih pretplatnika, 62 posto, na pokusnom je roku koji je Apple rastegnuo za kupce iPhonea, iPada, Maca... Od toga 29 posto njih ne planira produžiti pretplatu po cijeni od 4,99 dolara mjesečno, 30 posto hoće, ostali još ne znaju. Znatno manji postotak u odnosu na Disney+ i 48% onih koji su rekli da će se pretplatiti nakon probnog razdoblja, tj. 19% onih koji neće.

Zanimljivo je da Apple nije još objavio točnu brojku pretplatnika Apple TV+ koje je najviše privukao serijskim hitom "The Morning Show" s Jennifer Aniston i Reese Witherspoon, upravo mu idu druge sezone serija "Dickinson" i "Servant", a za dogledno vrijeme od atrakcija najavljuje "For All Mankind, Season 2" i film "Cherry" s kojim je Marvelu preoteo redateljski dvojac Anthony-Joe Russo i Spider-Mana Toma Hollanda (premijere 19. i 26. veljače). AppleTV+ možda trenutno gubi bitku, ali ne želi izgubiti rat streaminga u koji će, nakon Paramounta, s vremenom zasigurno konkretnije ući i preostali hollywoodski studijski divovi, kao što su Sony, Universal...

Hollywoodski studio Paramount Pictures uključuje se u ratove streaming servisa koje predvodi Netflix. Naime, Paramount 4. ožujka pokreće Paramount Plus, za početak na teritoriju SAD-a i Južne Amerike, a zatim u nordijskim zemljama do kraja tog mjeseca i Australiji polovicom godine.

Legendarna kompanija, dio korporacije Viacom koja se premrežila s CBS-om, ovim potezom će napraviti "prošireno rebrandiranje" servisa CBS All Access. Pokrenut 2014. kao kombinacija "live" streaminga CBS-ova programa, CBS All Access trenutno ima između 8 i 9 milijuna pretplatnika koji bi se automatski trebali "preliti" u Paramount Plus, a streaming platforma će naslijediti TV imovinu u ViacomCBS-ovu vlasništvu, poput MTV-ja, Nickelodeona i Comedy Central.

Broj pretplatnika samo će rasti i bilo je pitanje dana kad će Paramount posegnuti za ovim potezom kao jedan od najvećih filmskih studija koji je ostalim streaming servisima prošle godine prodavao svoje filmove zbog zatvaranja kina uslijed korone. Prodao je "The Trial Of Chicago 7" i "The Loverbirds" Netflixu, "The United States vs. Billie Holiday" Huluu, a "Without Remorse", "Coming 2 America" i "The Tomorrow War" Amazonu, dakle redom prestižne filmove ili potencijalne (kino)hitove.

Sada to Paramount više neće morati, premda (svaka čast!) odbija plasirati nestrpljvo očekivani nastavak blockbustera "Top Gun" istovremeno u kina i na streaming, što je počeo raditi Warner Bros preko platforme HBO Max, kako bi HBO na taj način postao najveći konkurent Netflixu i Disney+.

HBO Max je zasad dostupan samo u Americi, ali navodno bi do kraja godine trebao stići i u Europu, a njegov katalog za 2021., zahvaljujući Warnerovim nadolazećim blockbusterima, poput nove "Dine", četvrtog "Matrixa" i megaspektakla "Godzilla vs. Kong", spada među najbogatije.

Warner i Paramount su krenuli tragom studija Walt Disney Pictures koji posjeduje Marvelove franšize, Pixar, "Ratove zvijezda", ali i sve brendove koje je naslijedio od kupljenog 20th Century Foxa ("Predator", "Alien", "Umri muški", "X-Men"...). Disney je pokrenuo Disney+ za bitku s moćnim Netflixom, ali i Amazonom, Apple TV+...

Prije nego što je Warner predstavio svoj katalog za 2021., Disney je također imao bombastičnu najavu nadolazećih projekata iz svemira "Star Warsa" i Marvela, filmova i serija ("The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", "Loki"...), te Pixarovih animiranih filmova. Disney+ je trenutno blizu 90 milijuna pretplatnika, zahvaljujući svom najvećem TV hitu "Mandalorian" iz svijeta "Ratova zvijezda", kojeg bi možda mogao sustići ili prestići Marvelov "WandaVision", a također zasad bez najvećeg dijela Europe, kao HBO Max.

No, vjerojatno će prije ili kasnije pokoriti i ovaj dio svijeta, cijeli planet također. Zahvaljujući Marvelovim kinohitovima, "Ratovima zvijezda" i Pixarovim crtićima, Disney je posljednjih godina vodeći igrač na američkom i svjetskom box-officeu, sa sedam recentnih filmova koji su ponaosob utržili više od milijardu dolara u svjetskim kinima, a tipuje to postati i na streamingu, ne odričući se pritom kinodistribucije megablockbustera poput "Black Widow", upravo zbog još uvijek najveće zarade, imali oni istovremeno premijeru na Disney+ ili ne.

Čelnici Disneyja tipuju imati 230 do 260 milijuna Disney+ pretplatnika do kraja 2024. godine, odnosno 300 do 350, ako se uračunaju njihovi Hulu i ESPN Plus. Ilustracije radi, Netflixu je trebalo deset godina da dosegne 203,7 milijuna pretplatnika u svijetu, od čega je najveći rast postigao prošle godine, a ove bi mogao dosegnuti vrhunac, sudeći po nedavnoj spektakularnoj najavi filmova.

Ostalima se nije lako nositi s ovim streamig titanima, ali Apple TV+ i Amazon Prime Video se ne daju. Amazon Prime je krajem prošle godine imao hitove s nastavkom "Borata" i drugom sezonom serije "The Boys", friško je plasirao potencijalnog oskarovskog kandidata "Jedna noć u Miamiju", a 5. veljače očekuje i premijeru filma "Bliss" s Owenom Wilsonom i Salmom Hayek koji se snimao u Splitu.

Star samo godinu i nešto dana, Apple TV+ je momentalno u blagom problemu: prema nedavnom istraživanju, većina njegovih prijavljenih pretplatnika, 62 posto, na pokusnom je roku koji je Apple rastegnuo za kupce iPhonea, iPada, Maca... Od toga 29 posto njih ne planira produžiti pretplatu po cijeni od 4,99 dolara mjesečno, 30 posto hoće, ostali još ne znaju. Znatno manji postotak u odnosu na Disney+ i 48% onih koji su rekli da će se pretplatiti nakon probnog razdoblja, tj. 19% onih koji neće.

Zanimljivo je da Apple nije još objavio točnu brojku pretplatnika Apple TV+ koje je najviše privukao serijskim hitom "The Morning Show" s Jennifer Aniston i Reese Witherspoon, upravo mu idu druge sezone serija "Dickinson" i "Servant", a za dogledno vrijeme od atrakcija najavljuje "For All Mankind, Season 2" i film "Cherry" s kojim je Marvelu preoteo redateljski dvojac Anthony-Joe Russo i Spider-Mana Toma Hollanda (premijere 19. i 26. veljače). AppleTV+ možda trenutno gubi bitku, ali ne želi izgubiti rat streaminga u koji će, nakon Paramounta, s vremenom zasigurno konkretnije ući i preostali hollywoodski studijski divovi, kao što su Sony, Universal...
