Svake godine, sad već tradicionalno, jedan filmski naslov s hvalevrijedne manifestacije Dani izraelskog filma odskače od drugih kvalitetom, zvučnošću ili pedigreom. Ove godine, na 4. Danima izraelskog filma, to je "Poticanje" ("Incitement", 2019.), dramski politički triler režisera i koscenarista Yarona Zilbermana, utemeljen na stvarnim događajima iz 1995., odnosno atentatu na izraelskog premijera Yitzhaka Rabina.
"Poticanje" je bilo izraelski kandidat za ovogodišnjeg Oscara u kategoriji najboljeg međunarodnog filma. Nominaciju "Incitement" na kraju nije dobio. Konkurencija je bila prejaka zahvaljujući "Parazitu", "Tugi i slavi", "Jadnicima", "Medenoj zemlji" i "Corpus Christiju". No, zato je osvojio glavnu nagradu (najbolji film) na tzv. izraelskim Oscarima.

Film je snažno odjeknuo u Izraelu i šire, obišavši jake svjetske festivale poput Toronta, Varšave, Palm Springsa... Dobio je i frišku preporuku za obavezno gledanje od aktualnog veleposlanika Izraela u Hrvatskoj Ilana Mora. Još friškiju preporuku ima i od potpisnika ovih redaka.
Posrijedi je kvalitetan i bitan film na temu začaranog višegodišnjeg kruga nasilja između Izraela i Palestine, s univerzalnom pričom o radikalizaciji pojedin(a)ca, ispričanom negdje na pola puta između političkog "statementa", psihološke drame i političkog trilera.
Radikalizirani pojedinac u "Poticanju" je mladi ubojica premijera Rabina – student prava Yigal Amir (uvjerljivi Yehuda Nahari). Priča je sagledana mahom njegovim očima budući da redatelj želi kombinirati osobno i javno, čovjeka i društvo, u političkom diskursu filma koji se ne libi i dokumentarnog odmaka.
Uvod je upravo takav i "Incitement" se otvara snimkama Rabinova mirovnog govora ispred Bijele kuće 1993. godine, u nazočnosti palestinskog vođe Yassera Arafata i američkog predsjednika Billa Clintona, koji se prenosi na televiziji i radiju u Izraelu.
"Dosta je krvi i suza. Vrijeme mira je došlo", govori Rabin najavljujući novu eru povijesti na Bliskom istoku i poglavlje uzajamnog prepoznavanja, osvrnuvši se usput na žrtve rata i njihove obitelji čija bol neće nikad zacijeliti. Slijedi "rez" i eto nas na protestima u Izraelu gdje okupljeni traže svrgavanje vlade budući da njima mirovni sporazum s Palestinom znači izdaju domovine.
Među njima se nalazi i Amir koji pokazuje moć persuazije kad ga policajac uhvati s namjerom da mu stavi lisice, izvlačeći se najprije na to da je student prava i da neće moći postati odvjetnik, a zatim da samo što se nije oženio i da će ga mladenka odbiti. Ovo drugo je notorna laž. Amir će tek upoznati Navu (Daniella Kertesz) i požuriti s upoznavanjem njihovih obitelji.
"Ja sam kao laserski ciljnik. Označim mete i pokorim ih, jednu po jednu", kaže on kao da najavljuje budući čin. Nava neće postati meta (za ženidbu) ovog laserskog ciljnika, ali Rabin hoće. Da ga Nava nije odbila, možda Amir ne bi odlučio iskaliti frustracije na ubijanju prvog čovjeka bliskoistočne demokracije za riješavanje Izrael-Palestina konflikta jednom zasvagda, ali jest i on budi svojevrsnog izraelskog Travisa Bicklea u sebi, posvetivši se pripremanju atentata.
Dakako, Zilberman nije Martin Scorsese, niti je Nahari (mladi) Robert De Niro, no "Poticanje" uvlači gledatelja u Amirov svijet i njegovu zatucanu glavu kako bi iz prve ruke posvjedočio intimnom rađanju još jednog ekstremizma/nacionalizma i trasiranju "puta okrutnosti i fatalizma".
Mladić je potaknut propovijedima koje upija, tipa da je "osveta pravedna reakcija, božanska iskra", te predlaže drastičnu odmazdu - "oni nama ubiju jednog civila, mi dignemo u zrak džamiju". Tu negdje, oko polovice, dvosatni film se, ironično, počinje vrtjeti u krugu pripovijedajući o ciklički ponavljajućem ekstremističkom političkom nasilju.
Srećom, redatelj uspijeva brzo razbiti taj krug i pripremiti teren za prilično uzbudljivo finale u kojem stapa arhivske snimke i filmske scene kako bi potencirao akcijsko-trilerski dokumentarizam i podsjetio gledatelja na ono što je možda u međuvremenu zaboravio. Sve što gledamo zapravo se dogodilo.

Fantomska prijetnja na Torontu
Na premijeri na festivalu u Torontu, projekcija je bila stopirana zbog prijetnje i publika se evakuirala iz kina. Srećom, prijetnja se pokazala fantomskom (napušteni ruksak nekoga tko je otišao po kokice) i gledatelji su se vratili natrag, tj. film se nastavio.

Svake godine, sad već tradicionalno, jedan filmski naslov s hvalevrijedne manifestacije Dani izraelskog filma odskače od drugih kvalitetom, zvučnošću ili pedigreom. Ove godine, na 4. Danima izraelskog filma, to je "Poticanje" ("Incitement", 2019.), dramski politički triler režisera i koscenarista Yarona Zilbermana, utemeljen na stvarnim događajima iz 1995., odnosno atentatu na izraelskog premijera Yitzhaka Rabina.
"Poticanje" je bilo izraelski kandidat za ovogodišnjeg Oscara u kategoriji najboljeg međunarodnog filma. Nominaciju "Incitement" na kraju nije dobio. Konkurencija je bila prejaka zahvaljujući "Parazitu", "Tugi i slavi", "Jadnicima", "Medenoj zemlji" i "Corpus Christiju". No, zato je osvojio glavnu nagradu (najbolji film) na tzv. izraelskim Oscarima.

Film je snažno odjeknuo u Izraelu i šire, obišavši jake svjetske festivale poput Toronta, Varšave, Palm Springsa... Dobio je i frišku preporuku za obavezno gledanje od aktualnog veleposlanika Izraela u Hrvatskoj Ilana Mora. Još friškiju preporuku ima i od potpisnika ovih redaka.
Posrijedi je kvalitetan i bitan film na temu začaranog višegodišnjeg kruga nasilja između Izraela i Palestine, s univerzalnom pričom o radikalizaciji pojedin(a)ca, ispričanom negdje na pola puta između političkog "statementa", psihološke drame i političkog trilera.
Radikalizirani pojedinac u "Poticanju" je mladi ubojica premijera Rabina – student prava Yigal Amir (uvjerljivi Yehuda Nahari). Priča je sagledana mahom njegovim očima budući da redatelj želi kombinirati osobno i javno, čovjeka i društvo, u političkom diskursu filma koji se ne libi i dokumentarnog odmaka.
Uvod je upravo takav i "Incitement" se otvara snimkama Rabinova mirovnog govora ispred Bijele kuće 1993. godine, u nazočnosti palestinskog vođe Yassera Arafata i američkog predsjednika Billa Clintona, koji se prenosi na televiziji i radiju u Izraelu.
"Dosta je krvi i suza. Vrijeme mira je došlo", govori Rabin najavljujući novu eru povijesti na Bliskom istoku i poglavlje uzajamnog prepoznavanja, osvrnuvši se usput na žrtve rata i njihove obitelji čija bol neće nikad zacijeliti. Slijedi "rez" i eto nas na protestima u Izraelu gdje okupljeni traže svrgavanje vlade budući da njima mirovni sporazum s Palestinom znači izdaju domovine.
Među njima se nalazi i Amir koji pokazuje moć persuazije kad ga policajac uhvati s namjerom da mu stavi lisice, izvlačeći se najprije na to da je student prava i da neće moći postati odvjetnik, a zatim da samo što se nije oženio i da će ga mladenka odbiti. Ovo drugo je notorna laž. Amir će tek upoznati Navu (Daniella Kertesz) i požuriti s upoznavanjem njihovih obitelji.
"Ja sam kao laserski ciljnik. Označim mete i pokorim ih, jednu po jednu", kaže on kao da najavljuje budući čin. Nava neće postati meta (za ženidbu) ovog laserskog ciljnika, ali Rabin hoće. Da ga Nava nije odbila, možda Amir ne bi odlučio iskaliti frustracije na ubijanju prvog čovjeka bliskoistočne demokracije za riješavanje Izrael-Palestina konflikta jednom zasvagda, ali jest i on budi svojevrsnog izraelskog Travisa Bicklea u sebi, posvetivši se pripremanju atentata.
Dakako, Zilberman nije Martin Scorsese, niti je Nahari (mladi) Robert De Niro, no "Poticanje" uvlači gledatelja u Amirov svijet i njegovu zatucanu glavu kako bi iz prve ruke posvjedočio intimnom rađanju još jednog ekstremizma/nacionalizma i trasiranju "puta okrutnosti i fatalizma".
Mladić je potaknut propovijedima koje upija, tipa da je "osveta pravedna reakcija, božanska iskra", te predlaže drastičnu odmazdu - "oni nama ubiju jednog civila, mi dignemo u zrak džamiju". Tu negdje, oko polovice, dvosatni film se, ironično, počinje vrtjeti u krugu pripovijedajući o ciklički ponavljajućem ekstremističkom političkom nasilju.
Srećom, redatelj uspijeva brzo razbiti taj krug i pripremiti teren za prilično uzbudljivo finale u kojem stapa arhivske snimke i filmske scene kako bi potencirao akcijsko-trilerski dokumentarizam i podsjetio gledatelja na ono što je možda u međuvremenu zaboravio. Sve što gledamo zapravo se dogodilo.

Fantomska prijetnja na Torontu
Na premijeri na festivalu u Torontu, projekcija je bila stopirana zbog prijetnje i publika se evakuirala iz kina. Srećom, prijetnja se pokazala fantomskom (napušteni ruksak nekoga tko je otišao po kokice) i gledatelji su se vratili natrag, tj. film se nastavio.
