Roman "Damage" Josephine Hart iz 1991. bio je godinu dana kasnije pretvoren u sjajnu erotsku dramu "Požuda" u režiji čuvenog Louisa Mallea te s Jeremyjem Ironsom, Juliette Binoche i Mirandom Richardson u glavnim ulogama.

"Damage" je stigao u kina u vrijeme "booma" erotskih ili erotiziranih psiholoških trilera ("Kobna privlačnost", "More ljubavi", "Hot Spot", "Oglas donosi smrt"...) koji su početkom devedestih eksplodirali s megahitom "Sirove strasti".

No, film je napravio otklon od dominantnog žanra koji je dobio tucet direktno-na-video oponašatelja i vratio publiku par dekada natrag, u vrijeme umjetničkih erotskih psiholoških drama poput "Posljednjeg tanga u Parizu". Trideset godina kasnije, nova serijska verzija "Požude" ne vraća gledatelja u sedamdesete, eventualno u devedesete, ali one erotske direktno-na-video vrste.

Serija "Obsession" je prevedena ne samo kao "Opsesija", već "Opsesija, ljubav, ljubomora", što zvuči poput krilatice nekog videotečnog erotskog trilera devedesetih čiju su poetiku nedavno oponašali "Toplinski val" i "Besramno". Prijevod je pošten s obzirom na niske dosege serije, srećom ipak malo više u odnosu na "Heatwave" i "Brazen".

"Obsession" je pušten na Netflix da preuzme štafetu od "Sex/Life 2" i da bude mrvu ozbiljnija, dramskija inačica "365 dana" i "Pedeset nijansi sive". Na mjestu Ironsa, Binoche i Richardson angažirani su glumci Richard Armitage (serijal "Hobit", "Oluja stoljeća", serija "The Stranger"), Charlie Murphy ("Saga o Vikinzima", "Peaky Blinders") i manje poznata Indira Varma koji, iako solidni, posebice dvoje provospomenutih, nisu dostojna zamjena prethodnih teškokategornika.

Armitage je sada glavni muški lik, iznimno uspješan sredovječni kirurg William Farrow oženjen za Ingrid (Varma), ali temelji njihovog dugogodišnjeg sretnog braka će se poljuljati kad on upozna Annu (Murphy), misterioznu "femme fatale" djevojku njegovog sina Jaya (Rish Shah).

Lavinu požude pokreće maslina koju William stavi u Annina usta na jednom domjenku nakon što ga ona pita "Je li to za mene?". Nedugo poslije, eto ih u horizontali na podu stana bez namještaja. Nakon seksa uza zid u drugoj od četiri epizode, Anna uspostavlja pravila koja podsjećaju na "pravilnik" Marlona Branda iz "Last Tango In Paris".

"Čekaj kad ti kažem ‘kad‘. Ne dolazi nepozvan. Ništa se ne događa izvan stana bez mog dopuštenja. Svojevoljno ti se prepuštam i dajem ti moć ako to prihvatiš. U ovoj sobi možemo biti tko želimo. Klekni i prepustit ću ti se...", govori Anna.

Scena seksa ne manjka i uredno su režirane, na trenutke i uzbudljive, ali manje požudne i spontane u odnosu na "Damage", jer gledatelj osjeća da je na snimanju angažiran "koordinator za intimu".

Međutim, serija naveliko klapa u pauzama od seksanja, kad treba dočarati psihološka stanja likova, njihovo unutarnje oštećenje ("damage"), odnosno reperkusije još jedne opsesivne ljubavi. "Opsesija, ljubav, ljubomora" to radi više na sapuničasti, nego dramski način u smislu da ne postaje psihološka studija opsesivnih preljubnika, osim ako to ne podrazmijeva scena kad se William seksa s jastukom u hotelskoj sobi u nedostatku Anne.

Roman "Damage" Josephine Hart iz 1991. bio je godinu dana kasnije pretvoren u sjajnu erotsku dramu "Požuda" u režiji čuvenog Louisa Mallea te s Jeremyjem Ironsom, Juliette Binoche i Mirandom Richardson u glavnim ulogama.

"Damage" je stigao u kina u vrijeme "booma" erotskih ili erotiziranih psiholoških trilera ("Kobna privlačnost", "More ljubavi", "Hot Spot", "Oglas donosi smrt"...) koji su početkom devedestih eksplodirali s megahitom "Sirove strasti".

No, film je napravio otklon od dominantnog žanra koji je dobio tucet direktno-na-video oponašatelja i vratio publiku par dekada natrag, u vrijeme umjetničkih erotskih psiholoških drama poput "Posljednjeg tanga u Parizu". "Obsession" je pušten na Netflix da preuzme štafetu od "Sex/Life 2" i da bude mrvu ozbiljnija, dramskija inačica "365 dana" i "Pedeset nijansi sive". Na mjestu Ironsa, Binoche i Richardson angažirani su glumci Richard Armitage (serijal "Hobit", "Oluja stoljeća", serija "The Stranger"), Charlie Murphy ("Saga o Vikinzima", "Peaky Blinders") i manje poznata Indira Varma koji, iako solidni, posebice dvoje provospomenutih, nisu dostojna zamjena prethodnih teškokategornika.

Armitage je sada glavni muški lik, iznimno uspješan sredovječni kirurg William Farrow oženjen za Ingrid (Varma), ali temelji njihovog dugogodišnjeg sretnog braka će se poljuljati kad on upozna Annu (Murphy), misterioznu "femme fatale" djevojku njegovog sina Jaya (Rish Shah).

Lavinu požude pokreće maslina koju William stavi u Annina usta na jednom domjenku nakon što ga ona pita "Je li to za mene?". Nedugo poslije, eto ih u horizontali na podu stana bez namještaja. Nakon seksa uza zid u drugoj od četiri epizode, Anna uspostavlja pravila koja podsjećaju na "pravilnik" Marlona Branda iz "Last Tango In Paris".

"Čekaj kad ti kažem ‘kad‘. Ne dolazi nepozvan. Ništa se ne događa izvan stana bez mog dopuštenja. Svojevoljno ti se prepuštam i dajem ti moć ako to prihvatiš. U ovoj sobi možemo biti tko želimo. Klekni i prepustit ću ti se...", govori Anna.

Scena seksa ne manjka i uredno su režirane, na trenutke i uzbudljive, ali manje požudne i spontane u odnosu na "Damage", jer gledatelj osjeća da je na snimanju angažiran "koordinator za intimu".

Međutim, serija naveliko klapa u pauzama od seksanja, kad treba dočarati psihološka stanja likova, njihovo unutarnje oštećenje ("damage"), odnosno reperkusije još jedne opsesivne ljubavi. "Opsesija, ljubav, ljubomora" to radi više na sapuničasti, nego dramski način u smislu da ne postaje psihološka studija opsesivnih preljubnika, osim ako to ne podrazmijeva scena kad se William seksa s jastukom u hotelskoj sobi u nedostatku Anne.

Roman "Damage" Josephine Hart iz 1991. bio je godinu dana kasnije pretvoren u sjajnu erotsku dramu "Požuda" u režiji čuvenog Louisa Mallea te s Jeremyjem Ironsom, Juliette Binoche i Mirandom Richardson u glavnim ulogama.

"Damage" je stigao u kina u vrijeme "booma" erotskih ili erotiziranih psiholoških trilera ("Kobna privlačnost", "More ljubavi", "Hot Spot", "Oglas donosi smrt"...) koji su početkom devedestih eksplodirali s megahitom "Sirove strasti".

No, film je napravio otklon od dominantnog žanra koji je dobio tucet direktno-na-video oponašatelja i vratio publiku par dekada natrag, u vrijeme umjetničkih erotskih psiholoških drama poput "Posljednjeg tanga u Parizu". Trideset godina kasnije, nova serijska verzija "Požude" ne vraća gledatelja u sedamdesete, eventualno u devedese...
