Spletkarske "Opasne veze" Pierrea Choderlosa de Laclosa iz 1782. godine ekraniziraju se jednako frekventno kao "Emma" Jane Austen. Davne 1959. Roger Vadim je snimio "Les liaisons dangereuses" s Jeanne Moreau u glavnoj ulozi.

Krajem osamdesetih, točnije 1988., Stephen Frears je režirao "Dangerous Liaisons" s Glenn Close, Johnom Malkovichem i Michelle Pfeiffer, a 1989. Miloš Forman je u "Valmontu" dao svoju viziju romana s Annette Bening, Colinom Firthom i Meg Tilly.

Deset godina kasnije, uslijedila je i moderna obrada za mlade u vidu filma "Cruel Intentions" sa zvijezdama tada aktualnog hita "Znam što si radila prošlog ljeta" Sarah Michelle Gellar i Ryanom Phillipeom te Selmom Blair. I, konačno, ove godine je izašla i još jedna verzija s logom Netflixa.

Iako su snimljene u francuskoj produkciji i na francuskom jeziku, kao i Vadimov film, nove "Opasne veze" više su remake "Okrutnih namjera" nego ekranizacija De Laclosova klasika. Premda, "Les liaisons dangereuses" se poziva (i) na klasičnu literaturu.

Mladi pohađaju srednju školu Victor Hugo, pas protagonistice Celene (Paola Locatelli) zove se Balzac, a likovi pripremaju modernu kazališnu verziju "Princeze Montpensier" koju je u film pretočio Bertrand Tavernier. "Pročitajte knjigu, ne gledajte samo Tavernierov film", poručuju im.

Međutim, oni radije gledaju Tavernierov film, kao što i redateljica i koscenaristica novih "Opasnih veza" Rachel Suissa radije gleda "Cruel Intentions" modernim očima umjesto da čita De Laclosa ili uči od Frearsa. Njezina namjera je pokušati napraviti nove "Okrutne namjere" za eru društvenih medija, influencera, TikToka i Instagrama.

Moderniji pristup nešto je uvjerljiviji i jasno je da Suissa tipuje prebaciti nekadašnje spletke i manipulacije u današnje društveno-mrežno vrijeme u kojem je još lakše biti javno osramoćen. No, u tom smislu puno je bolji posao napravila "Djevojka na lošem glasu" kao moderna verzija romana "The Scarlett Letter" iz istog razdoblja.

"Les liaisons dangereuses" pada i u ključnom romantičnom segmentu priče budući da Locatelli i Rerolle ne ostvaruju kemiju i djeluju kao generički ljubavni par. Epitet "generički" savršeno pristaje ovom filmu, bližem dometima serijala "Poslije svega" nego "Okrutnim namjerama", kamoli "Opasnim vezama".

Spletkarske "Opasne veze" Pierrea Choderlosa de Laclosa iz 1782. godine ekraniziraju se jednako frekventno kao "Emma" Jane Austen. Davne 1959. Roger Vadim je snimio "Les liaisons dangereuses" s Jeanne Moreau u glavnoj ulozi.

Krajem osamdesetih, točnije 1988., Stephen Frears je režirao "Dangerous Liaisons" s Glenn Close, Johnom Malkovichem i Michelle Pfeiffer, a 1989. Miloš Forman je u "Valmontu" dao svoju viziju romana s Annette Bening, Colinom Firthom i Meg Tilly.

Deset godina kasnije, uslijedila je i moderna obrada za mlade u vidu filma "Cruel Intentions" sa zvijezdama tada aktualnog hita "Znam što si radila prošlog ljeta" Sarah Michelle Gellar i Ryanom Phillipeom te Selmom Blair. I, konačno, ove godine je izašla i još jedna verzija s logom Netflixa.

Iako su snimljene u francuskoj produkciji i na francuskom jeziku, kao i Vadimov film, nove "Opasne veze" više su remake "Okrutnih namjera" nego ekranizacija De Laclosova klasika. Premda, "Les liaisons dangereuses" se poziva (i) na klasičnu literaturu.

Mladi pohađaju srednju školu Victor Hugo, pas protagonistice Celene (Paola Locatelli) zove se Balzac, a likovi pripremaju modernu kazališnu verziju "Princeze Montpensier" koju je u film pretočio Bertrand Tavernier. "Pročitajte knjigu, ne gledajte samo Tavernierov film", poručuju im.

Međutim, oni radije gledaju Tavernierov film, kao što i redateljica i koscenaristica novih "Opasnih veza" Rachel Suissa radije gleda "Cruel Intentions" modernim očima umjesto da čita De Laclosa ili uči od Frearsa. Njezina namjera je pokušati napraviti nove "Okrutne namjere" za eru društvenih medija, influencera, TikToka i Instagrama.

"Danas je moć slava. Jednom kad je okusite, napravit ćete sve da je zadržite", čujemo na početku, a likovi bivaju predstavljeni s imenom i brojem pratitelja. Modernost je na trenutke interesantna, najviše u sceni kad se Versailles 1782. prebacuje u 2022. i pojašnjava se influencerska hijerarhija Celene i gledatelju.

Na vrhu piramide su influencerski kralj i kraljica s 6.2 milijuna pratitelja, iza njih slijede influenceri koji utječu prema kraljevskim uredbama, onda vitezovi koji bi trebali provoditi zakon, pa kraljevske lude čiji je posao dovesti još više pratitelja i zatim sluge na samom dnu. Zgodno. Ipak, moderno se nespretno presijeca sa pokušajem zadržavanja staromodnog štiha originala.

Celene je zaručena i inzistira da njezino tijelo "pripada samo jednom čovjeku" dok je, prema uhodanom zapletu, "valmontovski" Tristan (Simon Rerolle) pokušava osvojiti iz oklade s Vanessom (Ella Pelerini), modernom markizom de Merteuil, što oni inače rade da se proslave i dobiju više pratitelja. Tristan kaže da Celene govori kao njegova baka i da živi kao da je 18. stoljeće, što baš i nije uvjerljiva karakterizacija lika.

Moderniji pristup nešto je uvjerljiviji i jasno je da Suissa tipuje prebaciti nekadašnje spletke i manipulacije u današnje društveno-mrežno vrijeme u kojem je još lakše biti javno osramoćen. No, u tom smislu puno je bolji posao napravila "Djevojka na lošem glasu" kao moderna verzija romana "The Scarlett Letter" iz istog razdoblja.

"Les liaisons dangereuses" pada i u ključnom romantičnom segmentu priče budući da Locatelli i Rerolle ne ostvaruju kemiju i djeluju kao generički ljubavni par. Epitet "generički" savršeno pristaje ovom filmu, bližem dometima serijala "Poslije svega" nego "Okrutnim namjerama", kamoli "Opasnim vezama".

‘Opasne veze‘ (2022.): Laclos u svijetu influencera

Spletkarske "Opasne veze" Pierrea Choderlosa de Laclosa iz 1782. godine ekraniziraju se jednako frekventno kao "Emma" Jane Austen. Davne 1959. Roger Vadim je snimio "Les liaisons dangereuses" s Jeanne Moreau u glavnoj ulozi.

Krajem osamdesetih, točnije 1988., Stephen Frears je režirao "Dangerous Liaisons" s Glenn Close, Johnom Malkovichem i Michelle Pfeiffer, a 1989. Miloš Forman je u "Valmontu" dao svoju viziju romana s Annette Bening, Colinom Firthom i Meg Tilly.

Deset godina kasnije, uslijedila je i moderna obrada za mlade u vidu filma "Cruel Intentions" sa zvijezdama tada aktualnog hita "Znam što si radila prošlog ljeta" Sarah Michelle Gellar i Ryanom Phillipeom te Selmom Blair. I, konačno, ove godine je izašla i još jedna verzija s logom Netflixa.
