Ruska invazija na Ukrajinu mogla bi biti 'početak trećeg svjetskog rata' koji bi mogao značiti kraj civilizacije, upozorio je poznati filantrop i bivši financijaš George Soros, piše Guardian, a prenosi Jutarnji list. 

U žestokom napadu na ruskog predsjednika Vladimira Putina i kineskog čelnika Xija Jinpinga na Svjetskom gospodarskom forumu u Davosu, Soros je upozorio da su autokratski režimi u usponu i da globalno gospodarstvo ide prema depresiji.

Soros, omražena figura tvrde desnice u SAD-u i u drugim dijelovima svijeta, također je žestoko kritizirao bivšu njemačku kancelarku Angelu Merkel zbog, kako je rekao, ugađanja Moskvi i Pekingu.

S obzirom na to da je raspoloženje u Davosu već otprije očajno zbog rata u Ukrajini, Soros je sumornu retoriku podigao do nove razine.

Invazija je možda bila početak trećeg svjetskog rata i naša civilizacija ga možda neće preživjeti, rekao je.

- Invazija na Ukrajinu nije došla iz vedra neba. Svijet je sve više uključen u borbu između dva sustava upravljanja koji su međusobno dijametralno suprotni: otvorenog društva i zatvorenog društva, izjavio je.

91-godišnji bivši vlasnik hedge fonda rekao je da se atmosfera počela okretati protiv otvorenih društava nakon terorističkih napada na SAD 11. rujna 2001. - Represivni režimi sada su u porastu, a otvorena društva su pod opsadom. Danas Kina i Rusija predstavljaju najveću prijetnju otvorenom društvu, ustvrdio je.

Soros, koji je prije 30 godina predvodio špekulativni financijski napad nakon čega je funta izbačena iz europskog tečajnog mehanizma, rekao je da je Europa dobro odgovorila na krizu izazvanu ruskom invazijom.

- Bit će potrebno dosta vremena da se razrade detalji, ali čini se da se Europa kreće u pravom smjeru. Odgovorila je na invaziju na Ukrajinu većom brzinom, jedinstvom i snagom nego ikada prije u svojoj povijesti. Ali europska ovisnost o ruskim fosilnim gorivima i dalje je pretjerana, uglavnom zbog merkantilističke politike koju je provodila bivša kancelarka Angela Merkel. Sklopila je posebne poslove s Rusijom za opskrbu plinom i učinila Kinu najvećim njemačkim izvoznim tržištem. To je Njemačku učinilo najboljom ekonomijom u Europi, ali sada se za to plaća visoka cijena. Njemačku ekonomiju treba preorijentirati. A to će dugo trajati, ocijenio je.

Soros je rekao da je Putin dobio Xijev pristanak za invaziju na otvaranju Zimskih olimpijskih igara u Pekingu početkom veljače. No, inzistira na tome da kineski vođa nije tako jak koliko je vjerovao.

- Xi krije veliku tajnu. Nikada nije rekao kineskom narodu da je cijepljen cjepivom koje je dizajnirano za izvornu varijantu virusa iz Wuhana i koje pruža vrlo slabu zaštitu od novih varijanti.

Soros je rekao da Xi nije bio u stanju 'to otvoreno reći' jer je bio u delikatnom trenutku svoje karijere. - Njegov drugi mandat istječe u jesen 2022. i želi biti imenovan na treći mandat, što je događaj bez presedana i čime bi na kraju postao doživotni vladar.

- Suprotno općim očekivanjima, Xi možda neće dobiti svoj željeni treći mandat zbog grešaka koje je napravio, predviđa Soros.

- Dok rat bjesni, borba protiv klimatskih promjena mora zauzeti drugo mjesto. Ipak, stručnjaci nam kažu da smo već daleko zaostali, a klimatske promjene su na rubu da postanu nepovratne. To bi mogao biti kraj naše civilizacije. Stoga, moramo mobilizirati sve naše resurse kako bismo što prije okončali rat. Najbolji i možda jedini način da sačuvamo našu civilizaciju je poraz Putina što je prije moguće. To je suština, zaključio je.

Ruska invazija na Ukrajinu mogla bi biti 'početak trećeg svjetskog rata' koji bi mogao značiti kraj civilizacije, upozorio je poznati filantrop i bivši financijaš George Soros, piše Guardian, a prenosi Jutarnji list. 

U žestokom napadu na ruskog predsjednika Vladimira Putina i kineskog čelnika Xija Jinpinga na Svjetskom gospodarskom forumu u Davosu, Soros je upozorio da su autokratski režimi u usponu i da globalno gospodarstvo ide prema depresiji.

Soros, omražena figura tvrde desnice u SAD-u i u drugim dijelovima svijeta, također je žestoko kritizirao bivšu njemačku kancelarku Angelu Merkel zbog, kako je rekao, ugađanja Moskvi i Pekingu.

S obzirom na to da je raspoloženje u Davosu već otprije očajno zbog rata u Ukrajini, Soros je sumornu retoriku podigao do nove razine.

Invazija je možda bila početak trećeg svjetskog rata i naša civilizacija ga možda neće preživjeti, rekao je.

- Invazija na Ukrajinu nije došla iz vedra neba. Svijet je sve više uključen u borbu između dva sustava upravljanja koji su međusobno dijametralno suprotni: otvorenog društva i zatvorenog društva, izjavio je.

91-godišnji bivši vlasnik hedge fonda rekao je da se atmosfera počela okretati protiv otvorenih društava nakon terorističkih napada na SAD 11. rujna 2001. - Represivni režimi sada su u porastu, a otvorena društva su pod opsadom. Soros je rekao da je Putin dobio Xijev pristanak za invaziju na otvaranju Zimskih olimpijskih igara u Pekingu početkom veljače. No, inzistira na tome da kineski vođa nije tako jak koliko je vjerovao.

- Xi krije veliku tajnu. Nikada nije rekao kineskom narodu da je cijepljen cjepivom koje je dizajnirano za izvornu varijantu virusa iz Wuhana i koje pruža vrlo slabu zaštitu od novih varijanti.

Ruska invazija na Ukrajinu mogla bi biti 'početak trećeg svjetskog rata' koji bi mogao značiti kraj civilizacije, upozorio je poznati filantrop i bivši financijaš George Soros, piše Guardian, a prenosi Jutarnji list. 

U žestokom napadu na ruskog predsjednika Vladimira Putina i kineskog čelnika Xija Jinpinga na Svjetskom gospodarskom forumu u Davosu, Soros je upozorio da su autokratski režimi u usponu i da globalno gospodarstvo ide prema depresiji.

Soros, omražena figura tvrde desnice u SAD-u i u drugim dijelovima svijeta, također je žestoko kritizirao bivšu njemačku kancelarku Angelu Merkel zbog, kako je rekao, ugađanja Moskvi i Pekingu.

S obzirom na to da je raspoloženje u Davosu već otprije očajno zbog rata u Ukrajini, Soros je sumornu retoriku podigao do nove razine.

Invazija je možda bila početak trećeg svjetskog rata i naša civilizacija ga možda neće preživjeti, rekao je.

- Invazija na Ukrajinu nije došla iz vedra neba. Svijet je sve više uključen u borbu između dva sustava upravljanja koji su međusobno dijametralno suprotni: otvorenog društva i zatvorenog društva, izjavio je.

91-godišnji bivši vlasnik hedge fonda rekao je da se atmosfera počela okretati protiv otvorenih društava nakon terorističkih napada na SAD 11. rujna 2001. - Represivni režimi sada su u porastu, a otvorena društva su pod opsadom. Danas Kina i Rusija predstavljaju najveću prijetnju otvorenom društvu, ustvrdio je.
