Ujedinjeni Narodi svake godine 8. lipnja obilježavaju Svjetski dan oceana, u čemu im se pridružuju mnoge zemlje, uključujući i Republiku Hrvatsku. Poseban doprinos očuvanju daju i europski projekti, među kojima je i projekt SeaClear u Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj županiji, kojeg provode Regionalna agencija DUNEA i Sveučilište u Dubrovniku, kao jedini hrvatski partneri projekta, piše Dubrovački vjesnik.

Otpad u moru trenutno je jedan od najvećih globalnih problema jer, osim kroz ekološki negativni utjecaj predstavlja golem rizik za zdravlje ljudi općenito, s ogromnim ekonomskim posljedicama. Danas se u oceanima cijelog svijeta nalazi više od šezdeset milijuna tona otpada, a od toga otprilike više od devedeset posto nalazi se na morskom dnu.

Sustav, jedinstven u svijetu, koji će se razviti kroz projekt SeaClear, pojasnio je profesor Bart De Schutter iz Centra za sustave i kontrolu Tehničkog Sveučilišta u Delftu koje je ujedno i nositelj projekta. ‘Trenutno ronioci taj otpad čiste s morskog dna, posebno u turističkim područjima. Međutim, ovo je skupo rješenje i ponekad može predstavljati opasnost za ronioce’, objašnjava De Schutter.

„SeaClear sustav funkcionira na sljedeći način“, nastavlja voditelj projekta De Schutter, „imamo površinsko plovilo i dva podvodna robota. Nešto manji robot je robot za promatranje. Kamerom i sonarom skenira morsko dno. Ovaj robot mapira gdje se otpad nalazi i o kakvom se otpadu radi. Robot također može razlikovati frakcije otpada od živih bića, poput riba i morskih algi. U svrhu točnog razlikovanja živog i neživog svijeta, koriste se napredni algoritmi. Nakon što promatrački robot prepozna otpad, šalje te podatke drugom podvodnom robotu koji je opremljen hvataljkom. Ovaj robot odlazi do identificirane frakcije otpada, podiže je hvataljkom i odlaže u veliku košaru. Hvataljka je dizajnirana s posebnom sigurnosnom strukturom, tako da riba može lako pobjeći ako je slučajno pokupi’, pojašnjava De Schutter.

„Hvataljka je bila najteža hardverska komponenta za razvoj, ali i to je sada spremno. Istraživači Tehničkog sveučilišta u Münchenu su konstruirali prototip, tako da sada zaista možemo početi testirati cijeli sustav“, kaže De Schutter.

Navedene će se značajke prikazati na tri pilot područja gdje će biti postavljen autonomni sustav robota: jedan sustav sa svrhom čišćenju luka na području luke Hamburg s krajnjim korisnikom Lučke uprave Hamburg (Njemačka), druga u turističkom području Dubrovnika, točnije pokraj otoka Lokrum i treća na području Malostonskog zaljeva koji predstavlja područje iz sektora marikulture.

Za rujan su planirana prva ispitivanja upravno na pilot područjima Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije, a testirat će se različite komponente sustava u stvarnim uvjetima.

‘Očito bismo u budućnosti željeli značajno proširiti SeaClear. Želimo krenuti prema sustavu s nekoliko podvodnih robota koji se mogu koristiti bilo gdje. To bi nam omogućilo skeniranje ogromnog područja i stvarno čišćenje oceana’, zaključio je De Schutter, uz obilježavanje Svjetskog dana oceana.

Projekt SeaClear, punog naziva „Search, Identification and Collection of Marine Litter with Autonomous Robot“, za cilj ima razvijanje autonomnih robota za čišćenje otpada s morskog dna i financiran je u sto postotnom iznosu iz programa HORIZON 2020. Kroz projekt je osigurano više od šest milijuna kuna za područje Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije, a Regionalna agencija DUNEA i Sveučilište u Dubrovniku jedini su hrvatski partneri.

Uz Regionalnu agenciju DUNEA, u partnerstvu sudjeluje i stručni tim Sveučilišta u Dubrovniku koji ima sve kompetencije za ovu zahtjevnu ulogu u razvijanju inovativnih rješenja problema otpada u moru. U partnerstvu također sudjeluju i neke od najpoznatijih svjetskih organizacija koje će isporučiti provjereni hardver te četiri akademske institucije s komplementarnom stručnošću podvodne i zračne robotike, senzora, preslikavanja i kontrole.

Projekt je ukupno vrijedan 37.099.342,50 kuna, a provodit će se do prosinca 2023. godine.

Ujedinjeni Narodi svake godine 8. lipnja obilježavaju Svjetski dan oceana, u čemu im se pridružuju mnoge zemlje, uključujući i Republiku Hrvatsku. Poseban doprinos očuvanju daju i europski projekti, među kojima je i projekt SeaClear u Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj županiji, kojeg provode Regionalna agencija DUNEA i Sveučilište u Dubrovniku, kao jedini hrvatski partneri projekta, piše Dubrovački vjesnik.

Otpad u moru trenutno je jedan od najvećih globalnih problema jer, osim kroz ekološki negativni utjecaj predstavlja golem rizik za zdravlje ljudi općenito, s ogromnim ekonomskim posljedicama. Danas se u oceanima cijelog svijeta nalazi više od šezdeset milijuna tona otpada, a od toga otprilike više od devedeset posto nalazi se na morskom dnu.

Sustav, jedinstven u svijetu, koji će se razviti kroz projekt SeaClear, pojasnio je profesor Bart De Schutter iz Centra za sustave i kontrolu Tehničkog Sveučilišta u Delftu koje je ujedno i nositelj projekta. ‘Trenutno ronioci taj otpad čiste s morskog dna, posebno u turističkim područjima. Međutim, ovo je skupo rješenje i ponekad može predstavljati opasnost za ronioce’, objašnjava De Schutter.

„SeaClear sustav funkcionira na sljedeći način“, nastavlja voditelj projekta De Schutter, „imamo površinsko plovilo i dva podvodna robota. Nešto manji robot je robot za promatranje. Kamerom i sonarom skenira morsko dno. Ovaj robot mapira gdje se otpad nalazi i o kakvom se otpadu radi. Robot također može razlikovati frakcije otpada od živih bića, poput riba i morskih algi. U svrhu točnog razlikovanja živog i neživog svijeta, koriste se napredni algoritmi. Nakon što promatrački robot prepozna otpad, šalje te podatke drugom podvodnom robotu koji je opremljen hvataljkom. Ovaj robot odlazi do identificirane frakcije otpada, podiže je hvataljkom i odlaže u veliku košaru. Hvataljka je dizajnirana s posebnom sigurnosnom strukturom, tako da riba može lako pobjeći ako je slučajno pokupi’, pojašnjava De Schutter.

„Hvataljka je bila najteža hardverska komponenta za razvoj, ali i to je sada spremno. Istraživači Tehničkog sveučilišta u Münchenu su konstruirali prototip, tako da sada zaista možemo početi testirati cijeli sustav“, kaže De Schutter.

Navedene će se značajke prikazati na tri pilot područja gdje će biti postavljen autonomni sustav robota: jedan sustav sa svrhom čišćenju luka na području luke Hamburg s krajnjim korisnikom Lučke uprave Hamburg (Njemačka), druga u turističkom području Dubrovnika, točnije pokraj otoka Lokrum i treća na području Malostonskog zaljeva koji predstavlja područje iz sektora marikulture.

Za rujan su planirana prva ispitivanja upravno na pilot područjima Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije, a testirat će se različite komponente sustava u stvarnim uvjetima.

‘Očito bismo u budućnosti željeli značajno proširiti SeaClear. Želimo krenuti prema sustavu s nekoliko podvodnih robota koji se mogu koristiti bilo gdje. To bi nam omogućilo skeniranje ogromnog područja i stvarno čišćenje oceana’, zaključio je De Schutter, uz obilježavanje Svjetskog dana oceana.

Projekt SeaClear, punog naziva „Search, Identification and Collection of Marine Litter with Autonomous Robot“, za cilj ima razvijanje autonomnih robota za čišćenje otpada s morskog dna i financiran je u sto postotnom iznosu iz programa HORIZON 2020. Kroz projekt je osigurano više od šest milijuna kuna za područje Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije, a Regionalna agencija DUNEA i Sveučilište u Dubrovniku jedini su hrvatski partneri.

Uz Regionalnu agenciju DUNEA, u partnerstvu sudjeluje i stručni tim Sveučilišta u Dubrovniku koji ima sve kompetencije za ovu zahtjevnu ulogu u razvijanju inovativnih rješenja problema otpada u moru. U partnerstvu također sudjeluju i neke od najpoznatijih svjetskih organizacija koje će isporučiti provjereni hardver te četiri akademske institucije s komplementarnom stručnošću podvodne i zračne robotike, senzora, preslikavanja i kontrole.

Projekt je ukupno vrijedan 37.099.342,50 kuna, a provodit će se do prosinca 2023. godine.

Ujedinjeni Narodi svake godine 8. lipnja obilježavaju Svjetski dan oceana, u čemu im se pridružuju mnoge zemlje, uključujući i Republiku Hrvatsku. Poseban doprinos očuvanju daju i europski projekti, među kojima je i projekt SeaClear u Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj županiji, kojeg provode Regionalna agencija DUNEA i Sveučilište u Dubrovniku, kao jedini hrvatski partneri projekta, piše Dubrovački vjesnik.

Otpad u moru trenutno je jedan od najvećih globalnih problema jer, osim kroz ekološki negativni utjecaj predstavlja golem rizik za zdravlje ljudi općenito, s ogromnim ekonomskim posljedicama. Danas se u oceanima cijelog svijeta nalazi više od šezdeset milijuna tona otpada, a od toga otprilike više od devedeset posto nalazi se na morskom dnu.

Sustav, jedinstven u svijetu, koji će se razviti kroz projekt SeaClear, pojasnio je profesor Bart De Schutter iz Centra za sustave i kontrolu Tehničkog Sveučilišta u Delftu koje je ujedno i nositelj projekta. ‘Trenutno ronioci taj otpad čiste s morskog dna, posebno u turističkim područjima. Međutim, ovo je skupo rješenje i ponekad može predstavljati opasnost za ronioce’, objašnjava De Schutter.

„SeaClear sustav funkcionira na sljedeći način“, nastavlja voditelj projekta De Schutter, „imamo površinsko plovilo i dva podvodna robota. Nešto manji robot je robot za promatranje. Kamerom i sonarom skenira morsko dno. Ovaj robot mapira gdje se otpad nalazi i o kakvom se otpadu radi. Robot također može razlikovati frakcije otpada od živih bića, poput riba i morskih algi.
