Kako su dosad stručnjaci upozorili više puta, Covid-19 može ostaviti trajne posljedice na tijelo, primarno štetu na zdravlje pluća i srca. No postoji nada da se pacijenti ipak mogu oporaviti tijekom vremena, posljednje istraživanje pokazuje, a u tome bi značajnu ulogu mogla odigrati plućna rehabilitacija, prenosi CNN.
Dva istraživanja koja će biti prezentirana u ponedjeljak na internacionalnom kongresu Europskog respiratornog udruženja (European Respiratory Society) pokazuju koliko koronavirus može biti jak kad je u pitanju trajna šteta na plućima, a u nekim slučajevima, upozoravaju liječnici, ostaju i trajne posljedice na psihu pacijenata.
"Loša vijest je da ljudi pokazuju plućna oštećenja od Covid-19 tjednima nakon što su otpušteni iz bolnice; dobra vijest je da se čini kako se ta oštećenja tijekom vremena ipak mogu popraviti, što sugerira kako pluća imaju mehanizam koji im to omogućuje", rekla je dr. Sabina Sahanic, liječnica na Sveučilišnoj klinici u Innsbrucku u Austriji, koja je sudjelovala na ovoj posljednjoj studiji.
Njihovi zaključci su preliminarni, no bacaju novo svjetlo na cjeloživotne posljedice bolesti Covid-19 o kojima se dosad nerijetko pisalo.
Obuhvatili su ovim istraživanjem 86 pacijenata s teškim Covid-19, uglavnom one koji su oboljeli u jednoj od "žarišnih točki" širenja zaraze, regiji Tirol u Austriji. Proučavali su njihov oporavak između travnja i lipnja - pacijenti su detaljno pregledani šest tjedana nakon što su otpušteni iz bolnice, a onda ponovno nakon 12 tjedana, objasnila je Sahanic u intervjuu kojim su najavili predstavljanje rezultata.
'Trajni simptomi'
Nakon šest tjedana zabilježeno je kako čak 65,9% pacijenata ima trajne Covid-19 simptome poput kratkog daha i suhog kašlja.
"Nakon šest tjedana pola je naših ispitanika još uvijek pokazivalo simptom kratkog daha, što se samo neznatno popravilo do sljedećeg pregleda. No kad su u pitanju oštećenja vidljiva na CT-u, sa 88% ispitanika broj se smanjio na 56% do druge posjete", rekla je Sahanic.
Dodala je kako preživjeli pacijenti koji su bolovali od teškog oblika Covid-19 pokazuju plućna oštećenja, koja se, ipak, nakon vremena popravljaju - potrebna su daljnja detaljna istraživanja onih koji su bolest preboljeli.
Preliminarni rezultati bit će prezentirani, no karakteriziraju ih ograničenja, upozoravaju stručnjaci. Uzorak ispitanika vrlo je ograničen, a isto se tako radi o ljudima s poviješću pušenja. Potrebna je veća grupa pacijenata raznih dobnih skupina i afiniteta.
Drugo istraživanje koje će biti prezentirano na kongresu pokazuje kako se kod 19 pacijenata s teškom Covid-19 rana plućna rehabilitacija pokazala odličnom kad je u pitanju poboljšanje u kapacitetu pluća, snaga mišića, ravnoteža, smanjenje umora i pojave anksioznosti i depresije.
Plućna rehabilitacija
Pacijenti koji su proveli manje vremena vezani uz krevet između perioda koji su proveli na intenzivnoj njezi i onoga na plućnoj rehabilitaciji, oporavili su se ranije, kažu stručnjaci koji su radili na istraživanju.
"Kad je u pitanju psihološka razina, neki pacijenti pokazali su teški posttraumatski stresni poremećaj, a na to nije mogla utjecati ni plućna rehabilitacija", izrazili su zabrinutost stručnjaci. Upozoravaju kako oštećenja na psihu preboljelih nikako ne bi smjela biti zanemarujući faktor.
Tu je poglavito riječ o onima koji su bili intubirani i neko vrijeme proveli na intenzivnoj njezi. Kako je rekla liječnica Yara Al Chikhanie s francuske klinike Dieulefit Santé, jedna njena pacijentica nije se sjećala ničega osim da se pokušavala sama osloboditi cjevčica koje je njenom tijelu omogućavalo disanje. Neke sjećanja na najteži period progone i tjednima po povratku kući.
Stručnjaci su ujedinjeni kako su ova dva istraživanja, iako preliminirana, važna budući da su među prvima detaljnijima kad je oporavak od Covid-19 u pitanju.

Kako su dosad stručnjaci upozorili više puta, Covid-19 može ostaviti trajne posljedice na tijelo, primarno štetu na zdravlje pluća i srca. No postoji nada da se pacijenti ipak mogu oporaviti tijekom vremena, posljednje istraživanje pokazuje, a u tome bi značajnu ulogu mogla odigrati plućna rehabilitacija, prenosi CNN.
Dva istraživanja koja će biti prezentirana u ponedjeljak na internacionalnom kongresu Europskog respiratornog udruženja (European Respiratory Society) pokazuju koliko koronavirus može biti jak kad je u pitanju trajna šteta na plućima, a u nekim slučajevima, upozoravaju liječnici, ostaju i trajne posljedice na psihu pacijenata.
"Loša vijest je da ljudi pokazuju plućna oštećenja od Covid-19 tjednima nakon što su otpušteni iz bolnice; dobra vijest je da se čini kako se ta oštećenja tijekom vremena ipak mogu popraviti, što sugerira kako pluća imaju mehanizam koji im to omogućuje", rekla je dr. Sabina Sahanic, liječnica na Sveučilišnoj klinici u Innsbrucku u Austriji, koja je sudjelovala na ovoj posljednjoj studiji.
Njihovi zaključci su preliminarni, no bacaju novo svjetlo na cjeloživotne posljedice bolesti Covid-19 o kojima se dosad nerijetko pisalo.
Obuhvatili su ovim istraživanjem 86 pacijenata s teškim Covid-19, uglavnom one koji su oboljeli u jednoj od "žarišnih točki" širenja zaraze, regiji Tirol u Austriji. Proučavali su njihov oporavak između travnja i lipnja - pacijenti su detaljno pregledani šest tjedana nakon što su otpušteni iz bolnice, a onda ponovno nakon 12 tjedana, objasnila je Sahanic u intervjuu kojim su najavili predstavljanje rezultata.
'Trajni simptomi'
Nakon šest tjedana zabilježeno je kako čak 65,9% pacijenata ima trajne Covid-19 simptome poput kratkog daha i suhog kašlja.
"Nakon šest tjedana pola je naših ispitanika još uvijek pokazivalo simptom kratkog daha, što se samo neznatno popravilo do sljedećeg pregleda. No kad su u pitanju oštećenja vidljiva na CT-u, sa 88% ispitanika broj se smanjio na 56% do druge posjete", rekla je Sahanic.
Dodala je kako preživjeli pacijenti koji su bolovali od teškog oblika Covid-19 pokazuju plućna oštećenja, koja se, ipak, nakon vremena popravljaju - potrebna su daljnja detaljna istraživanja onih koji su bolest preboljeli.
Preliminarni rezultati bit će prezentirani, no karakteriziraju ih ograničenja, upozoravaju stručnjaci. Uzorak ispitanika vrlo je ograničen, a isto se tako radi o ljudima s poviješću pušenja. Potrebna je veća grupa pacijenata raznih dobnih skupina i afiniteta.
Drugo istraživanje koje će biti prezentirano na kongresu pokazuje kako se kod 19 pacijenata s teškom Covid-19 rana plućna rehabilitacija pokazala odličnom kad je u pitanju poboljšanje u kapacitetu pluća, snaga mišića, ravnoteža, smanjenje umora i pojave anksioznosti i depresije.
Plućna rehabilitacija
Pacijenti koji su proveli manje vremena vezani uz krevet između perioda koji su proveli na intenzivnoj njezi i onoga na plućnoj rehabilitaciji, oporavili su se ranije, kažu stručnjaci koji su radili na istraživanju.
"Kad je u pitanju psihološka razina, neki pacijenti pokazali su teški posttraumatski stresni poremećaj, a na to nije mogla utjecati ni plućna rehabilitacija", izrazili su zabrinutost stručnjaci. Upozoravaju kako oštećenja na psihu preboljelih nikako ne bi smjela biti zanemarujući faktor.
Tu je poglavito riječ o onima koji su bili intubirani i neko vrijeme proveli na intenzivnoj njezi. Kako je rekla liječnica Yara Al Chikhanie s francuske klinike Dieulefit Santé, jedna njena pacijentica nije se sjećala ničega osim da se pokušavala sama osloboditi cjevčica koje je njenom tijelu omogućavalo disanje. Neke sjećanja na najteži period progone i tjednima po povratku kući.
Stručnjaci su ujedinjeni kako su ova dva istraživanja, iako preliminirana, važna budući da su među prvima detaljnijima kad je oporavak od Covid-19 u pitanju.
