Iako se bolest Covid-19 najčešće manifestira respiratornim tegobama, a simptomi koje pritom iskusi najveći broj ljud uključuju povišenu tjelesnu temperaturu, kratak dah, suhi kašalj i anosmiju (gubitak njuha), nove studije pokazuju kako čak 16% zaraženih iskusi isključivo gastroenterološke tegobe.

Tim istraživača sa sveučilišta u Alberti u Kanadi na temelju je 36 studija objavljenih do sredine srpnja izveo zaključke kako ukupno 18% oboljelih od koronavirusa iskusi neki oblik probavnih smetnji, dok njih ukupno 16% ima isključivo njih.

Iako se spomenuti simptomi međusobno jako razlikuju, oni uglavnom uključuju gubitak apetita, mučninu, povraćanje, proljev i bolove u trbuhu.

"Sve je veća količina literature koja pokazuje da su simptomi abdominalnih tegoba uobičajeni način manifestiranja za Covid-19", rekao je koautor studije Mitch Wilson, radiolog na sveučilištu.

Pozvao je kolege da budu na oprezu prilikom ultrazvuka abdomena. Tijekom snimanja mogu potražiti znakove da je kod pacijenta došlo do upale crijeva, iako su znakovi jako rijetki i mogli bi tek sugerirati potrebu za daljnjim pretragama kad je u pitanju Covid-19.

"Različiti su potencijalni uzroci. Ali jedan od njih je zaraza virusom, pa bi u okruženju u kojem je Covid-19 vrlo raširen, to trebalo razmotriti i potencijalno uputiti na daljnje pretrage", kaže stručnjak.

Rezultati ove studije nedavno su objavljeni u časopisu Abdominal Radiology.

Iako se bolest Covid-19 najčešće manifestira respiratornim tegobama, a simptomi koje pritom iskusi najveći broj ljud uključuju povišenu tjelesnu temperaturu, kratak dah, suhi kašalj i anosmiju (gubitak njuha), nove studije pokazuju kako čak 16% zaraženih iskusi isključivo gastroenterološke tegobe.

Tim istraživača sa sveučilišta u Alberti u Kanadi na temelju je 36 studija objavljenih do sredine srpnja izveo zaključke kako ukupno 18% oboljelih od koronavirusa iskusi neki oblik probavnih smetnji, dok njih ukupno 16% ima isključivo njih.

Iako se spomenuti simptomi međusobno jako razlikuju, oni uglavnom uključuju gubitak apetita, mučninu, povraćanje, proljev i bolove u trbuhu.

"Sve je veća količina literature koja pokazuje da su simptomi abdominalnih tegoba uobičajeni način manifestiranja za Covid-19", rekao je koautor studije Mitch Wilson, radiolog na sveučilištu.

Pozvao je kolege da budu na oprezu prilikom ultrazvuka abdomena. Tijekom snimanja mogu potražiti znakove da je kod pacijenta došlo do upale crijeva, iako su znakovi jako rijetki i mogli bi tek sugerirati potrebu za daljnjim pretragama kad je u pitanju Covid-19.

"Različiti su potencijalni uzroci. Ali jedan od njih je zaraza virusom, pa bi u okruženju u kojem je Covid-19 vrlo raširen, to trebalo razmotriti i potencijalno uputiti na daljnje pretrage", kaže stručnjak.

Rezultati ove studije nedavno su objavljeni u časopisu Abdominal Radiology.

Iako se bolest Covid-19 najčešće manifestira respiratornim tegobama, a simptomi koje pritom iskusi najveći broj ljud uključuju povišenu tjelesnu temperaturu, kratak dah, suhi kašalj i anosmiju (gubitak njuha), nove studije pokazuju kako čak 16% zaraženih iskusi isključivo gastroenterološke tegobe.

Tim istraživača sa sveučilišta u Alberti u Kanadi na temelju je 36 studija objavljenih do sredine srpnja izveo zaključke kako ukupno 18% oboljelih od koronavirusa iskusi neki oblik probavnih smetnji, dok njih ukupno 16% ima isključivo njih.

Iako se spomenuti simptomi međusobno jako razlikuju, oni uglavnom uključuju gubitak apetita, mučninu, povraćanje, proljev i bolove u trbuhu.
