O Yugu i njegovoj legendarnoj završnoj obradi zbijaju se šale i vicevi još od 1985. godine kad je sletio na američki kontinent. Koštao je samo 3995 dolara, a vrlo brzo je postao kultno vozilo i to ne zbog pretjeranih kvaliteta, nego zbog niza problema i skromnih sigurnosnih funkcija. Zanimljivo, vozilo s kojim su gotovo svi zbijali šale sada proživljava drugu mladost, odnosno čini se da cijene oldtimera rastu, piše Revija HAK.

Prema američkom oglasu, jedan preživjeli Yugo GVL iz 1988. gotovo je cijeli radni vijek proveo je u Kaliforniji i odličnom je stanju. Također ima standardni 1,1 lireni četverocilindrični motor, s 55 KS i 77 Nm okretnog momenta. Mjenjač je ručni, s četiri stupnja prijenosa, a automobil je prešao 69.000 km. Unutrašnjost se također čini prilično pristojnom, a na vanjskom dijelu karoserije tek je nekoliko oštećenja.
Prodavač Yuga traži 8000 dolara za automobil (oko 60.000 kuna), što je, čini se, znak da ovi automobili polako dobivaju na vrijednosti. Hoće li toliko dobiti? T0 zasad nitko ne zna, ali cijena bi mogla biti indikator da Yugo proživljava drugu američku mladost…
