Cjepivo Moderne generiralo je više nego dvostruku količinu antitijela u odnosu na cjepivo Pfizer-BioNTech, navodi se u istraživanju koje je uspoređivalo imunološke odgovore izazvane nakon dviju doza cjepiva protiv koronavirusa.

Studija je jedna od prvih koja je usporedila razine antitijela koje proizvode dva cjepiva, koje se smatra jednima od ključnih komponenti imunološkog odgovora. Nije ispitano jesu li razlike u protutijelima dovele do razlike u učinkovitosti cjepiva. Podsjetimo, oba su cjepiva bila više od 90% učinkovita u završnim kliničkim ispitivanjima.

Istraživanje je ispitalo razinu antitijela protiv tzv. spike proteina koronavirusa kod oko 1600 radnika u velikom belgijskom bolničkom sustavu, čiji su uzorci krvi analizirani 6 do 10 tjedana nakon cijepljenja. Sudionici prije cijepljenja nisu bili zaraženi koronavirusom. Razine među onima koji su primili dvije doze cjepiva Moderna bile su u prosjeku 2881 jedinica po mililitru, u usporedbi s 1108 jedinica po mililitru među onima koji su primili dvije doze Pfizera.

Rezultati, objavljeni u ponedjeljak u pismu Journal of the American Medical Association, sugeriraju da se razlike mogu objasniti većom količinom aktivnog sastojka u cjepivu Moderna - 100 mikrograma, naspram 30 mikrograma u Pfizer-BioNTechu - ili nešto dužim intervalima između doza cjepiva Moderna - četiri tjedna, naspram tri tjedna za Pfizer-BioNTech.

Vanjski istraživači rekli su da je prerano zaključiti da je razlika u razinama antitijela medicinski važna.

"Pozvao bih na oprez pri donošenju zaključka da će, budući da je Moderna u prosjeku pokazala nešto više razine, njezina učinkovitost sporije slabjeti", rekao je David Benkeser, biostatističar sa Sveučilišta Emory, u e-poruci. "Takav zaključak zahtijeva niz pretpostavki koje još nisu ocijenjene."

Oba cjepiva proizvode visoku razinu antitijela, napomenuo je, a druge studije pokazale su da čak i relativno niske razine antitijela štite.

Cjepivo Moderne generiralo je više nego dvostruku količinu antitijela u odnosu na cjepivo Pfizer-BioNTech, navodi se u istraživanju koje je uspoređivalo imunološke odgovore izazvane nakon dviju doza cjepiva protiv koronavirusa.

Studija je jedna od prvih koja je usporedila razine antitijela koje proizvode dva cjepiva, koje se smatra jednima od ključnih komponenti imunološkog odgovora. Nije ispitano jesu li razlike u protutijelima dovele do razlike u učinkovitosti cjepiva. Podsjetimo, oba su cjepiva bila više od 90% učinkovita u završnim kliničkim ispitivanjima.

Istraživanje je ispitalo razinu antitijela protiv tzv. spike proteina koronavirusa kod oko 1600 radnika u velikom belgijskom bolničkom sustavu, čiji su uzorci krvi analizirani 6 do 10 tjedana nakon cijepljenja. Sudionici prije cijepljenja nisu bili zaraženi koronavirusom. Razine među onima koji su primili dvije doze cjepiva Moderna bile su u prosjeku 2881 jedinica po mililitru, u usporedbi s 1108 jedinica po mililitru među onima koji su primili dvije doze Pfizera.

Rezultati, objavljeni u ponedjeljak u pismu Journal of the American Medical Association, sugeriraju da se razlike mogu objasniti većom količinom aktivnog sastojka u cjepivu Moderna - 100 mikrograma, naspram 30 mikrograma u Pfizer-BioNTechu - ili nešto dužim intervalima između doza cjepiva Moderna - četiri tjedna, naspram tri tjedna za Pfizer-BioNTech.

Vanjski istraživači rekli su da je prerano zaključiti da je razlika u razinama antitijela medicinski važna.

"Pozvao bih na oprez pri donošenju zaključka da će, budući da je Moderna u prosjeku pokazala nešto više razine, njezina učinkovitost sporije slabjeti", rekao je David Benkeser, biostatističar sa Sveučilišta Emory, u e-poruci. "Takav zaključak zahtijeva niz pretpostavki koje još nisu ocijenjene."

Oba cjepiva proizvode visoku razinu antitijela, napomenuo je, a druge studije pokazale su da čak i relativno niske razine antitijela štite.

Nova studija: Moderna stvara dvostruko više antitijela od Pfizera?

Cjepivo Moderne generiralo je više nego dvostruku količinu antitijela u odnosu na cjepivo Pfizer-BioNTech, navodi se u istraživanju koje je uspoređivalo imunološke odgovore izazvane nakon dviju doza cjepiva protiv koronavirusa.

Studija je jedna od prvih koja je usporedila razine antitijela koje proizvode dva cjepiva, koje se smatra jednima od ključnih komponenti imunološkog odgovora. Nije ispitano jesu li razlike u protutijelima dovele do razlike u učinkovitosti cjepiva. Podsjetimo, oba su cjepiva bila više od 90% učinkovita u završnim kliničkim ispitivanjima.

Istraživanje je ispitalo razinu antitijela protiv tzv. spike proteina koronavirusa kod oko 1600 radnika u velikom belgijskom bolničkom sustavu, čiji su uzorci krvi analizirani 6 do 10 tjedana nakon cijepljenja. Sudionici prije cijepljenja nisu bili zaraženi koronavirusom. Razine među onima koji su primili dvije doze cjepiva Moderna bile su u prosjeku 2881 jedinica po mililitru, u usporedbi s 1108 jedinica po mililitru među onima koji su primili dvije doze Pfizera.

Rezultati, objavljeni u ponedjeljak u pismu Journal of the American Medical Association, sugeriraju da se razlike mogu objasniti većom količinom aktivnog sastojka u cjepivu Moderna - 100 mikrograma, naspram 30 mikrograma u Pfizer-BioNTechu - ili nešto dužim intervalima između doza cjepiva Moderna - četiri tjedna, naspram tri tjedna za Pfizer-BioNTech.

Vanjski istraživači rekli su da je prerano zaključiti da je razlika u razinama antitijela medicinski važna.

"Pozvao bih na oprez pri donošenju zaključka da će, budući da je Moderna u prosjeku pokazala nešto više razine, njezina učinkovitost sporije slabjeti", rekao je David Benkeser, biostatističar sa Sveučilišta Emory, u e-poruci. "Takav zaključak zahtijeva niz pretpostavki koje još nisu ocijenjene."

Oba cjepiva proizvode visoku razinu antitijela, napomenuo je, a druge studije pokazale su da čak i relativno niske razine antitijela štite.
