Protivnici cijepljenja protiv Covida-19 iznosili su najrazličitije i bizarne primjere o nuspojavama cjepiva, koje su često bile neistinite.

Ovaj je slučaj istinit i zainteresirao je medicinsku struku. Šestomjesečni dječak iz Tajlanda kojemu je propisan antivirusni lijek za liječenje Covida imao je bizarnu reakciju - njegove tamnosmeđe oči postale su svijetlo plave.

Dječak je dobilo favipiravir, lijek koji se obično koristi za gripu i ebolu, a koristio se kao terapija za Covid u dijelovima Azije i Europe tijekom pandemije, ali nikada nije odobren u SAD-u.

Liječnici u Bangkoku koji su liječili novorođenče rekli su da je antivirusni lijek oslobodio fluorescentnu kemikaliju koja se nakupila u dječakovim rožnicama. Dječakove oči promijenile su boju 18 sati nakon tretmana, ali su se vratile u svoju prirodnu boju pet dana nakon prestanka uzimanja lijekova, piše Daily Mail uz napomenu da je izvješće objavljeno u travnju 2023., no točan datum nuspojave nije poznat.

Najčešće nuspojave liječenja, njih otprilike 20 posto, uključuju povećanje mokraćne kiseline u tijelu, proljev i nizak broj bijelih krvnih zrnaca.

Prvog dana dječak je primio 82 miligrama favipiravira, a 18 sati kasnije majka je primijetila promjenu boje očiju.

‘Nisu primijećene plavičaste promjene boje na drugim područjima kao što su koža, nokti ili oralna i nosna sluznica. Simptomi su se poboljšali nakon tri dana terapije favipiravirom‘, napisali su znanstvenici u studiji objavljenoj u časopisu Frontiers in Pediatrics.

Liječnici su također otkrili da je rožnica bila prozirna i bez plavičaste nijanse rožnice, a na površini šarenice ili prednje čahure leće nije primijećen plavi pigmentni talog.

Iako je dječak najmlađi pacijent koji je primio liječenje, on nije prvi koji je doživio bizarnu nuspojavu. Studija iz 2021. izvještava o slučaju 20-godišnjaka u Indiji koji je pretrpio točnu promjenu boje očiju. Primio je favipiravir, a drugog dana primijetio je promjenu boje očiju - istu tamnoplavu koja se vratila u prirodno smeđu kad je liječenje prestalo. Nakon tog slučaja, tim je pretražio literaturu kako bi pronašao druge slučajeve, ali je zaključio da je ovaj čovjek prvi slučaj da favipiravir uzrokuje plavkastu promjenu boje rožnice, piše Daily Mail.

Protivnici cijepljenja protiv Covida-19 iznosili su najrazličitije i bizarne primjere o nuspojavama cjepiva, koje su često bile neistinite.

Ovaj je slučaj istinit i zainteresirao je medicinsku struku. Šestomjesečni dječak iz Tajlanda kojemu je propisan antivirusni lijek za liječenje Covida imao je bizarnu reakciju - njegove tamnosmeđe oči postale su svijetlo plave.

Dječak je dobilo favipiravir, lijek koji se obično koristi za gripu i ebolu, a koristio se kao terapija za Covid u dijelovima Azije i Europe tijekom pandemije, ali nikada nije odobren u SAD-u.

Liječnici u Bangkoku koji su liječili novorođenče rekli su da je antivirusni lijek oslobodio fluorescentnu kemikaliju koja se nakupila u dječakovim rožnicama. Dječakove oči promijenile su boju 18 sati nakon tretmana, ali su se vratile u svoju prirodnu boju pet dana nakon prestanka uzimanja lijekova, piše Daily Mail uz napomenu da je izvješće objavljeno u travnju 2023., no točan datum nuspojave nije poznat.

Najčešće nuspojave liječenja, njih otprilike 20 posto, uključuju povećanje mokraćne kiseline u tijelu, proljev i nizak broj bijelih krvnih zrnaca.

Prvog dana dječak je primio 82 miligrama favipiravira, a 18 sati kasnije majka je primijetila promjenu boje očiju.

Primio je favipiravir, a drugog dana primijetio je promjenu boje očiju - istu tamnoplavu koja se vratila u prirodno smeđu kad je liječenje prestalo. Nakon tog slučaja, tim je pretražio literaturu kako bi pronašao druge slučajeve, ali je zaključio da je ovaj čovjek prvi slučaj da favipiravir uzrokuje plavkastu promjenu boje rožnice, piše Daily Mail.
