Važno je zvati se Elena Ferrante. Bez obzira tko stajao iza pseudonima pisca sad već kultne napuljske tetralogije koju predvodi 'Genijalna prijateljica'. Američka glumica Maggie Gyllenhaal za svoj je redateljski debi izabrala 'Mračnu kći', ekranizaciju romana koji je napisan ranije od spomenutog četveroknjižja, no već sadrži splet motiva koji autoricu (ili autora?) zaokupljaju kroz cijeli opus.
Gyllenhall potpisuje i prilagođeni scenarij storije o otuđenoj sveučilišnoj profesorici, sredovječnoj turistkinji na odmoru na Sredozemlju. Uloga Lede Caruso dopala je Oliviji Colman, moćnoj pojavi s kojom se u današnjoj kinematografiji mogu mjeriti tek rijetke kolegice. Uz Frances McDormand zapravo je teško naći još jednu glumicu koja bi toliko sugestivno mogla iznijeti lik majke opterećene problematičnim roditeljstvom.

Leda je šutljiva, gotovo asocijalna promatračica okoline u koju se ne uklapa i u kojoj pronalazi tek reminiscencije prošlog života kojim se baš i ne diči ali bi ga svejedno reprizirala. Gospođa Caruso neuravnotežena je junakinja koja 'guta' sve pred sobom, tako da su svi iz njezina okruženja tek figure u funkciji njezina samopromišljanja. Za film koji traje dva sata to je i previše uočljivo, u konačnici poprilično zamorno za gledanje.
Još i više ako su ostali akteri filma traljavo portretirani i odglumljeni tako da ničim ne odskaču iz ravnine. Dakota Johnson (50 nijansi sive) kao mlada majka Nina u kojoj Leda vidi vlastiti odraz nije ni krhka ni eterična dovoljno da bi rezonirala s glavnom junakinjom. Epizoda Eda Harrisa kao lokalnog fakina tako je plošna da se gledatelj više zabrine za glumčevu kilažu nego za glumačke performanse. Neiskorištena ostaje i prijetnja mjesne filmske bande koja poprijeko gleda na došljakinju, no na mrkim pogledima se i zadržava.

Dinamici ne pridonose osobito ni flashbackovi u kojima mladu verziju Lede dosta prirodno tumači mlada Irkinja Jessie Buckley. Porazbacani po filmu kako bi rastumačili kasnije junakinjine traume, flashbackovi događanja suštinski samo sputavaju.
U svom redateljskom prvijencu Gyllenhaal radnju iz izvorno talijanskog okruženja prebacuje na grčki arhipelag, što se pokazalo izlišnim jer je većina likova 'anglizirana', tako da je čak i nosač ležaljki dečko s Otoka (Paul Mescar). Prilično uvredljivo za domaćine, no kamo sreće da je takva supremacija jedini nedostatak drame u koju su ugurali i stihove Yeatsa i mit o Zeusu labudu i jeftinu simboliku izgubljene lutke...
Kako god, odlučite li se pogledati 'Mračnu kći' (u originalu 'The lost daughter') isplatit će Vam se ponajviše zbog Olivie Colman. Dobitnicu Oskara za ulogu pomaknute engleske kraljice Anne u 'Miljenici', pamtimo i po iznimnoj roli kćerke u 'Ocu'. Čega god se dohvati, to pozlati. A za bolji doživljaj psihološkog stanja i majčinstva njezine filmske heroine, te pozadine zbivanja ipak je bolje pročitati knjigu.

Važno je zvati se Elena Ferrante. Bez obzira tko stajao iza pseudonima pisca sad već kultne napuljske tetralogije koju predvodi 'Genijalna prijateljica'. Američka glumica Maggie Gyllenhaal za svoj je redateljski debi izabrala 'Mračnu kći', ekranizaciju romana koji je napisan ranije od spomenutog četveroknjižja, no već sadrži splet motiva koji autoricu (ili autora?) zaokupljaju kroz cijeli opus.
Gyllenhall potpisuje i prilagođeni scenarij storije o otuđenoj sveučilišnoj profesorici, sredovječnoj turistkinji na odmoru na Sredozemlju. Uloga Lede Caruso dopala je Oliviji Colman, moćnoj pojavi s kojom se u današnjoj kinematografiji mogu mjeriti tek rijetke kolegice. Uz Frances McDormand zapravo je teško naći još jednu glumicu koja bi toliko sugestivno mogla iznijeti lik majke opterećene problematičnim roditeljstvom.

Leda je šutljiva, gotovo asocijalna promatračica okoline u koju se ne uklapa i u kojoj pronalazi tek reminiscencije prošlog života kojim se baš i ne diči ali bi ga svejedno reprizirala. Gospođa Caruso neuravnotežena je junakinja koja 'guta' sve pred sobom, tako da su svi iz njezina okruženja tek figure u funkciji njezina samopromišljanja. Za film koji traje dva sata to je i previše uočljivo, u konačnici poprilično zamorno za gledanje.
Još i više ako su ostali akteri filma traljavo portretirani i odglumljeni tako da ničim ne odskaču iz ravnine. Dakota Johnson (50 nijansi sive) kao mlada majka Nina u kojoj Leda vidi vlastiti odraz nije ni krhka ni eterična dovoljno da bi rezonirala s glavnom junakinjom. Epizoda Eda Harrisa kao lokalnog fakina tako je plošna da se gledatelj više zabrine za glumčevu kilažu nego za glumačke performanse. Neiskorištena ostaje i prijetnja mjesne filmske bande koja poprijeko gleda na došljakinju, no na mrkim pogledima se i zadržava.

Dinamici ne pridonose osobito ni flashbackovi u kojima mladu verziju Lede dosta prirodno tumači mlada Irkinja Jessie Buckley. Porazbacani po filmu kako bi rastumačili kasnije junakinjine traume, flashbackovi događanja suštinski samo sputavaju.
U svom redateljskom prvijencu Gyllenhaal radnju iz izvorno talijanskog okruženja prebacuje na grčki arhipelag, što se pokazalo izlišnim jer je većina likova 'anglizirana', tako da je čak i nosač ležaljki dečko s Otoka (Paul Mescar). Prilično uvredljivo za domaćine, no kamo sreće da je takva supremacija jedini nedostatak drame u koju su ugurali i stihove Yeatsa i mit o Zeusu labudu i jeftinu simboliku izgubljene lutke...
Kako god, odlučite li se pogledati 'Mračnu kći' (u originalu 'The lost daughter') isplatit će Vam se ponajviše zbog Olivie Colman. Dobitnicu Oskara za ulogu pomaknute engleske kraljice Anne u 'Miljenici', pamtimo i po iznimnoj roli kćerke u 'Ocu'. Čega god se dohvati, to pozlati. A za bolji doživljaj psihološkog stanja i majčinstva njezine filmske heroine, te pozadine zbivanja ipak je bolje pročitati knjigu.
