Novopostavljeni kip nacerenog čovjeka s ogromnim falusom izazvao je oduševljenje i bijes na arheološkom žarištu u sjevernom Peruu gdje je izložen od početka godine. Iako možda nije anatomski ispravna, grimizna struktura od stakloplastike vjerni je prikaz keramičke posude iz peruanske predkolumbijske kulture Mochica, čiji su ljudi živjeli u regiji između 150. i 700. godine.

Petnaestak minuta vožnje od središta regionalnog glavnog grada Trujilla, kip se već pokazao iznimno popularnim među prolaznicima i turistima koji poziraju ispod 1,5-metarskog penisa Indijanca fotkajući selfije. No, unatoč svojoj povijesnoj vjernosti, simbol plodnosti visok 2.75 metara već su napali vandali koji su probili rupu u kipu i navodno ispalili metke u zrak dok su bježali.

Arturo Fernández Bazán, gradonačelnik Mochea, okruga nazvanog po drevnoj kulturi, rekao je lokalnim medijima: “U dva ujutro tri kriminalca s kapuljačama držala su zaštitaru nož za vrat kako bi ga spriječili da reagira ili ne pozove svoje kolege preko radija , a dva su oštetila falus.” Spomenik uz cestu drevnoj kulturi prije Inka, poznat po svojoj seksualno eksplicitnoj keramici, također je privukao turiste, jer kip stoji na putu između impozantnih hramova sunca i mjeseca ili Huacas del Sol y la Luna.

Fernández Bazán je rekao da planira podići još do 30 kipova koji predstavljaju kulturu Mochica - od kojih otprilike trećina predstavlja erotske radnje ili porod - duž arheološkog kruga. "U našoj kulturi Mochica ove vrste keramičkih posuda nisu se smatrale erotskim, već su predstavljale Božanstvo", rekao je za lokalne medije Fernández Bazán, koji je prije ulaska u lokalnu politiku radio kao ginekolog. “Stari Grci imali su drugu vrstu reprezentacije. Novopostavljeni kip nacerenog čovjeka s ogromnim falusom izazvao je oduševljenje i bijes na arheološkom žarištu u sjevernom Peruu gdje je izložen od početka godine. Iako možda nije anatomski ispravna, grimizna struktura od stakloplastike vjerni je prikaz keramičke posude iz peruanske predkolumbijske kulture Mochica, čiji su ljudi živjeli u regiji između 150. i 700. godine.

Petnaestak minuta vožnje od središta regionalnog glavnog grada Trujilla, kip se već pokazao iznimno popularnim među prolaznicima i turistima koji poziraju ispod 1,5-metarskog penisa Indijanca fotkajući selfije. No, unatoč svojoj povijesnoj vjernosti, simbol plodnosti visok 2.75 metara već su napali vandali koji su probili rupu u kipu i navodno ispalili metke u zrak dok su bježali.

Arturo Fernández Bazán, gradonačelnik Mochea, okruga nazvanog po drevnoj kulturi, rekao je lokalnim medijima: “U dva ujutro tri kriminalca s kapuljačama držala su zaštitaru nož za vrat kako bi ga spriječili da reagira ili ne pozove svoje kolege preko radija , a dva su oštetila falus.” Spomenik uz cestu drevnoj kulturi prije Inka, poznat po svojoj seksualno eksplicitnoj keramici, također je privukao turiste, jer kip stoji na putu između impozantnih hramova sunca i mjeseca ili Huacas del Sol y la Luna.

Fernández Bazán je rekao da planira podići još do 30 kipova koji predstavljaju kulturu Mochica - od kojih otprilike trećina predstavlja erotske radnje ili porod - duž arheološkog kruga. "U našoj kulturi Mochica ove vrste keramičkih posuda nisu se smatrale erotskim, već su predstavljale Božanstvo", rekao je za lokalne medije Fernández Bazán, koji je prije ulaska u lokalnu politiku radio kao ginekolog. “Stari Grci imali su drugu vrstu reprezentacije. Bili smo agresivniji i izravniji sa svojim osjećajima”, dodao je.

Kip je izazvao različite reakcije objavljene na Facebook stranici općine Moche, a neki su rekli da smatraju da je kip uvredljiv ili da ga djeca ne smiju gledati. Gisela Ortiz, peruanska ministrica kulture, rekla je: "Ideja da je djeca ne bi trebala vidjeti ili je previše uvredljiva pripada vremenu mračnjaštva." Novopostavljeni kip nacerenog čovjeka s ogromnim falusom izazvao je oduševljenje i bijes na arheološkom žarištu u sjevernom Peruu gdje je izložen od početka godine. Iako možda nije anatomski ispravna, grimizna struktura od stakloplastike vjerni je prikaz keramičke posude iz peruanske predkolumbijske kulture Mochica, čiji su ljudi živjeli u regiji između 150. i 700. godine.

Petnaestak minuta vožnje od središta regionalnog glavnog grada Trujilla, kip se već pokazao iznimno popularnim među prolaznicima i turistima koji poziraju ispod 1,5-metarskog penisa Indijanca fotkajući selfije. No, unatoč svojoj povijesnoj vjernosti, simbol plodnosti visok 2.75 metara već su napali vandali koji su probili rupu u kipu i navodno ispalili metke u zrak dok su bježali.

Arturo Fernández Bazán, gradonačelnik Mochea, okruga nazvanog po drevnoj kulturi, rekao je lokalnim medijima: “U dva ujutro tri kriminalca s kapuljačama držala su zaštitaru nož za vrat kako bi ga spriječili da reagira ili ne pozove svoje kolege preko radija , a dva su oštetila falus.” Spomenik uz cestu drevnoj kulturi prije Inka, poznat po svojoj seksualno eksplicitnoj keramici, također je privukao turiste, jer kip stoji na putu između impozantnih hramova sunca i mjeseca ili Huacas del Sol y la Luna.

Fernández Bazán je rekao da planira podići još do 30 kipova koji predstavljaju kulturu Mochica - od kojih otprilike trećina predstavlja erotske radnje ili porod - duž arheološkog kruga. "U našoj kulturi Mochica ove vrste keramičkih posuda nisu se smatrale erotskim, već su predstavljale Božanstvo", rekao je za lokalne medije Fernández Bazán, koji je prije ulaska u lokalnu politiku radio kao ginekolog. “Stari Grci imali su drugu vrstu reprezentacije. Bili smo agresivniji i izravniji sa svojim osjećajima”, dodao je.

Kip je izazvao različite reakcije objavljene na Facebook stranici općine Moche, a neki su rekli da smatraju da je kip uvredljiv ili da ga djeca ne smiju gledati. Gisela Ortiz, peruanska ministrica kulture, rekla je: "Ideja da je djeca ne bi trebala vidjeti ili je previše uvredljiva pripada vremenu mračnjaštva." Rekla je za Guardian. “Kao Peruanci, svi bismo se trebali osjećati ponosni na naše raznoliko nasljeđe, uključujući seksualni ili erotski dio, koji je svojstven ljudskom biću.” Dodala je da, iako "ništa ne opravdava nasilje nad zaštitarom", veći napori da se lokalnom stanovništvu objasni kulturni značaj kipa mogli bi spriječiti daljnje kontroverze.
