Nakon stravičnog potresa magnitude 7.8, koji je Tursku zavio u crno, ljudi su dosta uplašeni pa i najmanje podrhtavanje tla izaziva veliku nelagodu i otvara pitanje je li možda i današnji potres koji se u dogodio u 10 sati i 47 minuta u blizini Drage Bašćanske na otoku Krku (magnitude 4,8 prema Richteru), na neki način povezan sa gibanjima na istočnom anadolskom rasjedu i silnom energijom koja se tamo oslobodila?

Hrvatski seizmolozi objašnjavaju kako su kod nas uglavnom rasjedi ti koji izazivaju potrese i turski valovi u pravilu ne bi trebali djelovati ne te rasjede. Ipak Turska je preko 1.500 kilometra udaljena od Hrvatske.

- Najvjerojatnije potres na Krku nije izravno povezan s potresom u Turskoj, ali kako se radi o povezanim tektonskim pločama moguće je da se zbog preraspodjele napetosti unutar tih ploča, malo napetost povećala i kod nas pa je aktivnost pojačana. Ali to nije ništa potvrđeno, govorimo samo o pretpostavkama - kaže nam seizmologinja dr. Marija Mustać Brčić s Geofizičkog odsjeka PMF-a.

Objašnjava da se Turska nalazi na jako tektonski osjetljivom području. Tamo se sudaraju arabijska i afrička ploča, a ispod nje je anadolijska ploča koja je omeđena euroazijskom pločom.

- A kod nas se jadranska ploča podvlači pod euroazijsku. Nema mjerenja kojima možemo utvrditi da je to doista povezano, no kažem, moguće da je došlo do neke preraspodjele napetosti koja je možda ubrzala potrese koji bi se ionako dogodili - veli nam Marija Mustać Brčić.

Podrhtavanja na našem području su, kaže ona, u okviru prosjeka, ali kako smo svi senzibilniji nakon katastrofe u Turskoj i onoj na Baniji, čini nam se da je podrhtavanje češće nego što ono doista jest.

- U Turskoj će tlo podrhtavati još jako dugo, možda i desetak godina. To je normalno smirivanje nakon ovakvog snažnog potresa. I kod nas se još uvijek na petrinjskom području gotovo svakodnevno događaju potresi, ali oni su toliko slabi da ih ljudi ne osjete – napominje Marija Mustać Brčić.

Seizmolog Krešimir Kuk pak ističe kako je riječko područje inače seizmički među najugroženijim područjima u Hrvatskoj. Na tom području je 1916. godine zabilježen tzv. vinodolski potres magnitude 5,8 prema Richteru. 

Kuk podsjeća kako se već neko vrijeme bilježi izrazitija seizmološka aktivnost.

- Imali smo nedavno zabilježena snažna kretanja na talijanskom području. Također smo imali i nekoliko jačih potresa i u crikveničkom području. Generalno, možemo primijetiti da se na širim prostorima manifestira izraženija seizmička aktivnost. Dakle u tom kontekstu sve treba gledati. Ovi potresi i u Rumunjskoj proteklih dana i na našem području, oni nisu potpuno odvojeni i neovisni u smislu manifestiranja seizmičnosti na širem regionalnom prostoru - poručio je Kuk dodavši kako je realno da u jednom dužem periodu možemo očekivati još potresa. 

Naglasio je da potresi nisu izravno povezani s potresima u Turskoj. "Kada kažemo izravno, mislimo da jedni direktno uzrokuju druge, ali Zemljina kora je zatvoren sustav, energija i sile prenose se i u tom kontekstu nismo potpuno odvojeni od ostatka Europe i Balkanskog poluotoka", kazao je Kuk.

Upozorenje na mobitelu 

Neki su čitatelji javili da su na mobitele dobili upozorenja o prvim potresnim valovima. Ines Ivančić, šefica seizmološke službe RH za N1 je rekla: "Što se tiče upozorenja na mobitelima, Google ima tu mogućnost, upozoriti koliko smo daleko od rasjeda. Nama se uglavnom potresi događaju s epicentrima ispod naseljenih područja, nema tu puno vremena za reakciju".

Dr. Josip Stipčević s Prirodoslovno-matematičkog fakulteta u Zagrebu za Index je pak komentirao kako je potres koji se dogodio prije deset dana u Turskoj previše daleko da bi mogao uzrokovati potrese na rasjednim sustavima u Hrvatskoj.

"Rasjedni sustavi u Turskoj i Hrvatskoj nisu ni na koji način povezani. Pomak na jednom ne može gotovo nikako utjecati na pomake u drugom. Pogotovo se to ne može dogoditi u tako kratkom razdoblju. Između Turske i Hrvatske ima oko 1500 km. Nakon nekog većeg potresa sustav se prirodno nastoji vratiti u ravnotežu. U tom procesu on može povećati naprezanja na nekom drugom rasjedu. Međutim, taj proces je vrlo spor i može trajati tisućama godina. No čak i tako jak potres kakav se dogodio u Turskoj ne bi trebao utjecati na zbivanja u Hrvatskoj, čak ni u takvom procesu. Mogao bi eventualno utjecati regionalno", kazao je Stipčević.

Nakon stravičnog potresa magnitude 7.8, koji je Tursku zavio u crno, ljudi su dosta uplašeni pa i najmanje podrhtavanje tla izaziva veliku nelagodu i otvara pitanje je li možda i današnji potres koji se u dogodio u 10 sati i 47 minuta u blizini Drage Bašćanske na otoku Krku (magnitude 4,8 prema Richteru), na neki način povezan sa gibanjima na istočnom anadolskom rasjedu i silnom energijom koja se tamo oslobodila?

Hrvatski seizmolozi objašnjavaju kako su kod nas uglavnom rasjedi ti koji izazivaju potrese i turski valovi u pravilu ne bi trebali djelovati ne te rasjede. Ipak Turska je preko 1.500 kilometra udaljena od Hrvatske.

- Najvjerojatnije potres na Krku nije izravno povezan s potresom u Turskoj, ali kako se radi o povezanim tektonskim pločama moguće je da se zbog preraspodjele napetosti unutar tih ploča, malo napetost povećala i kod nas pa je aktivnost pojačana. Ali to nije ništa potvrđeno, govorimo samo o pretpostavkama - kaže nam seizmologinja dr. Marija Mustać Brčić s Geofizičkog odsjeka PMF-a.

Objašnjava da se Turska nalazi na jako tektonski osjetljivom području. Tamo se sudaraju arabijska i afrička ploča, a ispod nje je anadolijska ploča koja je omeđena euroazijskom pločom.

- A kod nas se jadranska ploča podvlači pod euroazijsku. Nema mjerenja kojima možemo utvrditi da je to doista povezano, no kažem, moguće da je došlo do neke preraspodjele napetosti koja je možda ubrzala potrese koji bi se ionako dogodili - veli nam Marija Mustać Brčić.

Podrhtavanja na našem području su, kaže ona, u okviru prosjeka, ali kako smo svi senzibilniji nakon katastrofe u Turskoj i onoj na Baniji, čini nam se da je podrhtavanje češće nego što ono doista jest.

- U Turskoj će tlo podrhtavati još jako dugo, možda i desetak godina. To je normalno smirivanje nakon ovakvog snažnog potresa. I kod nas se još uvijek na petrinjskom području gotovo svakodnevno događaju potresi, ali oni su toliko slabi da ih ljudi ne osjete – napominje Marija Mustać Brčić.

Seizmolog Krešimir Kuk pak ističe kako je riječko područje inače seizmički među najugroženijim područjima u Hrvatskoj. Na tom području je 1916. godine zabilježen tzv. vinodolski potres magnitude 5,8 prema Richteru. 

Kuk podsjeća kako se već neko vrijeme bilježi izrazitija seizmološka aktivnost.

- Imali smo nedavno zabilježena snažna kretanja na talijanskom području. Također smo imali i nekoliko jačih potresa i u crikveničkom području. Generalno, možemo primijetiti da se na širim prostorima manifestira izraženija seizmička aktivnost. Dakle u tom kontekstu sve treba gledati. Ovi potresi i u Rumunjskoj proteklih dana i na našem području, oni nisu potpuno odvojeni i neovisni u smislu manifestiranja seizmičnosti na širem regionalnom prostoru - poručio je Kuk dodavši kako je realno da u jednom dužem periodu možemo očekivati još potresa. 

Naglasio je da potresi nisu izravno povezani s potresima u Turskoj. "Kada kažemo izravno, mislimo da jedni direktno uzrokuju druge, ali Zemljina kora je zatvoren sustav, energija i sile prenose se i u tom kontekstu nismo potpuno odvojeni od ostatka Europe i Balkanskog poluotoka", kazao je Kuk.

Upozorenje na mobitelu 

Neki su čitatelji javili da su na mobitele dobili upozorenja o prvim potresnim valovima. Ines Ivančić, šefica seizmološke službe RH za N1 je rekla: "Što se tiče upozorenja na mobitelima, Google ima tu mogućnost, upozoriti koliko smo daleko od rasjeda. Nama se uglavnom potresi događaju s epicentrima ispod naseljenih područja, nema tu puno vremena za reakciju".

Dr. Josip Stipčević s Prirodoslovno-matematičkog fakulteta u Zagrebu za Index je pak komentirao kako je potres koji se dogodio prije deset dana u Turskoj previše daleko da bi mogao uzrokovati potrese na rasjednim sustavima u Hrvatskoj.

"Rasjedni sustavi u Turskoj i Hrvatskoj nisu ni na koji način povezani. Pomak na jednom ne može gotovo nikako utjecati na pomake u drugom. Pogotovo se to ne može dogoditi u tako kratkom razdoblju. Između Turske i Hrvatske ima oko 1500 km. Nakon nekog većeg potresa sustav se prirodno nastoji vratiti u ravnotežu. U tom procesu on može povećati naprezanja na nekom drugom rasjedu. Međutim, taj proces je vrlo spor i može trajati tisućama godina. No čak i tako jak potres kakav se dogodio u Turskoj ne bi trebao utjecati na zbivanja u Hrvatskoj, čak ni u takvom procesu. Mogao bi eventualno utjecati regionalno", kazao je Stipčević.
