Omikron se toliko proširio tako da nam gotovo nikakve preventivne mjere, osim rane samoizolacije zaraženih, ne pomažu, izjavio je za HTV Dobrica Rončević, epidemiolog NZJZ-a Primorsko goranske županije.

Prema broju jučerašnjih testiranja danas se opet očekuje porast novozaraženih, a isto se očekuje i idući tjedan. Oko 30 do 50 posto je pozitivnih među testiranima, što nam govori da ima zaraženih koji to ne znaju, kazao je Rončević i opisao u čemu je razlika između cijepljenih i necijepljenih.

- Cijepljenje i preboljevanje nekoliko mjeseci štite od težih oblika bolesti i smrtnog ishoda. Nisam pristalica da se 'a priori' ide u ukidanje evidencije kakvu nude COVID potvrde. Samoizolacija je izgubila smisao i ona se gotovo potpuno ne provodi, naročito ne dosljedno. Zbog toga bi trebalo tu mjeru zamijeniti sa širokim i dostupnim testiranjem, naglasio je.

Komentirajući situaciju da postoje osobe kojima nakon skidanja s respiratora bude bolje, a onda se jave komplikacije - bakterijska oboljenja, upale i trombovi, Rončević je kazao kako pacijenti s teškim oblicima bolesti obično nisu osobe koje su imune u dovoljnoj mjeri. Te osobe su sada opet među najrizičnijim - starije osobe s kroničnim bolestima. Oni bi trebali biti ciljana skupina za kontinuirano docjepljivanje i u budućnosti, poručio je.

Rončević je kazao kako na vrijeme nismo spriječili masovna okupljanja tijekom blagdana i tako dopustili omikronu da se širi. Smatra kako bi zabrana okupljanja mogla imati vrlo mali učinak.

- Mi bismo bili zadovoljni da dobijemo malo usporavanje kako bi se 'boosterirali' oni koji to još nisu učinili te da bi se osvijestili oni koji se još nisu cijepili. Nedavna preboljenja i nedavna cijepljenja nisu garancija da se osoba ne može zaraziti. Docijepljivanje bi, za razliku od preboljenja trebalo biti glavno oružje protiv pandemije, dodao je.

Na pitanje prelazi li pandemija u endemiju poručio je kako postoji rizik od pojave neke nove varijante, koja bi mogla biti i opasnija. Ne smijemo odustati, niti usporiti proces cijepljenja. Upravo je to bitka zdravstvenog sustava - nastavak cijepljenja, kaže Rončević.

Komentirao je i slučaj Austrije koja uvodi obvezno cijepljenje, a ima najviše zaraženih te Izraela koji najavljuje ukidanje COVID potvrda.

- Manje je važno koju će strategiju zemlja primijeniti kao metodu zaštite. Sve su zemlje prepoznale potrebu da se provede cijepljenje. COVID potvrda ako nije u funkciji motivacije za cijepljenje ona ima puno manje značenje, kazao je. Dodao je kako mu se obavezno cijepljenje osobno 'ne sviđa', ali da je stvar svake pojedine zemlje da osmisli način kako održavati cijepljenje i procjepljivanje, kazao je Rončević za HTV.

Omikron se toliko proširio tako da nam gotovo nikakve preventivne mjere, osim rane samoizolacije zaraženih, ne pomažu, izjavio je za HTV Dobrica Rončević, epidemiolog NZJZ-a Primorsko goranske županije.

Prema broju jučerašnjih testiranja danas se opet očekuje porast novozaraženih, a isto se očekuje i idući tjedan. Oko 30 do 50 posto je pozitivnih među testiranima, što nam govori da ima zaraženih koji to ne znaju, kazao je Rončević i opisao u čemu je razlika između cijepljenih i necijepljenih.

- Cijepljenje i preboljevanje nekoliko mjeseci štite od težih oblika bolesti i smrtnog ishoda. Nisam pristalica da se 'a priori' ide u ukidanje evidencije kakvu nude COVID potvrde. Samoizolacija je izgubila smisao i ona se gotovo potpuno ne provodi, naročito ne dosljedno. Zbog toga bi trebalo tu mjeru zamijeniti sa širokim i dostupnim testiranjem, naglasio je.

Komentirajući situaciju da postoje osobe kojima nakon skidanja s respiratora bude bolje, a onda se jave komplikacije - bakterijska oboljenja, upale i trombovi, Rončević je kazao kako pacijenti s teškim oblicima bolesti obično nisu osobe koje su imune u dovoljnoj mjeri. Te osobe su sada opet među najrizičnijim - starije osobe s kroničnim bolestima. Oni bi trebali biti ciljana skupina za kontinuirano docjepljivanje i u budućnosti, poručio je.

Rončević je kazao kako na vrijeme nismo spriječili masovna okupljanja tijekom blagdana i tako dopustili omikronu da se širi. Smatra kako bi zabrana okupljanja mogla imati vrlo mali učinak.

- Mi bismo bili zadovoljni da dobijemo malo usporavanje kako bi se 'boosterirali' oni koji to još nisu učinili te da bi se osvijestili oni koji se još nisu cijepili. Nedavna preboljenja i nedavna cijepljenja nisu garancija da se osoba ne može zaraziti. Docijepljivanje bi, za razliku od preboljenja trebalo biti glavno oružje protiv pandemije, dodao je.

Na pitanje prelazi li pandemija u endemiju poručio je kako postoji rizik od pojave neke nove varijante, koja bi mogla biti i opasnija. Ne smijemo odustati, niti usporiti proces cijepljenja. Upravo je to bitka zdravstvenog sustava - nastavak cijepljenja, kaže Rončević.

Komentirao je i slučaj Austrije koja uvodi obvezno cijepljenje, a ima najviše zaraženih te Izraela koji najavljuje ukidanje COVID potvrda.

- Manje je važno koju će strategiju zemlja primijeniti kao metodu zaštite. Sve su zemlje prepoznale potrebu da se provede cijepljenje. COVID potvrda ako nije u funkciji motivacije za cijepljenje ona ima puno manje značenje, kazao je. Dodao je kako mu se obavezno cijepljenje osobno 'ne sviđa', ali da je stvar svake pojedine zemlje da osmisli način kako održavati cijepljenje i procjepljivanje, kazao je Rončević za HTV.

Omikron se toliko proširio tako da nam gotovo nikakve preventivne mjere, osim rane samoizolacije zaraženih, ne pomažu, izjavio je za HTV Dobrica Rončević, epidemiolog NZJZ-a Primorsko goranske županije.

Prema broju jučerašnjih testiranja danas se opet očekuje porast novozaraženih, a isto se očekuje i idući tjedan. Oko 30 do 50 posto je pozitivnih među testiranima, što nam govori da ima zaraženih koji to ne znaju, kazao je Rončević i opisao u čemu je razlika između cijepljenih i necijepljenih.

- Cijepljenje i preboljevanje nekoliko mjeseci štite od težih oblika bolesti i smrtnog ishoda. Nisam pristalica da se 'a priori' ide u ukidanje evidencije kakvu nude COVID potvrde. Samoizolacija je izgubila smisao i ona se gotovo potpuno ne provodi, naročito ne dosljedno. Zbog toga bi trebalo tu mjeru zamijeniti sa širokim i dostupnim testiranjem, naglasio je.

Komentirajući situaciju da postoje osobe kojima nakon skidanja s respiratora bude bolje, a onda se jave komplikacije - bakterijska oboljenja, upale i trombovi, Rončević je kazao kako pacijenti s teškim oblicima bolesti obično nisu osobe koje su imune u dovoljnoj mjeri. Te osobe su sada opet među najrizičnijim - starije osobe s kroničnim bolestima. Oni bi trebali biti ciljana skupina za kontinuirano docjepljivanje i u budućnosti, poručio je.

Rončević je kazao kako na vrijeme nismo spriječili masovna okupljanja tijekom blagdana i tako dopustili omikronu da se širi. Smatra kako bi zabrana okupljanja mogla imati vrlo mali učinak.

- Mi bismo bili zadovoljni da dobijemo malo usporavanje kako bi se 'boosterirali' oni koji to još nisu učinili te da bi se osvijestili oni koji se još nisu cijepili. Nedavna preboljenja i nedavna cijepljenja nisu garancija da se osoba ne može zaraziti. Docijepljivanje bi, za razliku od preboljenja trebalo biti glavno oružje protiv pandemije, dodao je.

Na pitanje prelazi li pandemija u endemiju poručio je kako postoji rizik od pojave neke nove varijante, koja bi mogla biti i opasnija. Ne smijemo odustati, niti usporiti proces cijepljenja. Upravo je to bitka zdravstvenog sustava - nastavak cijepljenja, kaže Rončević.

Komentirao je i slučaj Austrije koja uvodi obvezno cijepljenje, a ima najviše zaraženih te Izraela koji najavljuje ukidanje COVID potvrda.

- Manje je važno koju će strategiju zemlja primijeniti kao metodu zaštite. Sve su zemlje prepoznale potrebu da se provede cijepljenje. COVID potvrda ako nije u funkciji motivacije za cijepljenje ona ima puno manje značenje, kazao je. Dodao je kako mu se obavezno cijepljenje osobno 'ne sviđa', ali da je stvar svake pojedine zemlje da osmisli način kako održavati cijepljenje i procjepljivanje, kazao je Rončević za HTV.
