Stotine stanovnika na poplavama pogođenom jugoistoku Australije spašeno je helikopterima i čamcima nakon što je razina vode u utorak naglo porasla te su cijeli gradovi odsječeni od ostatka zemlje, a kuće, autoceste, mostovi i farme poplavljeni.

Timovi za izvanredna stanja su u Novom Južnom Walesu helikopterima su spašavali ljudi s krovova kuća, a u protekla 24 sata izvedene je preko 200 spasilačkih operacija od poplava.

Neki su ljudi spas od poplava pronašli i u krošnjama drveća, navodi vatrogasna služba Novog Južnog Walesa. Prema službenim informacijama, helikopterima je do sada spašeno 67 ljudi.

Zbog naglog podizanja razine vode rijeke Lachlan izdana je naredba za evakuaciju za Forbes, ruralno mjesro s oko 8000 stanovnika.

Procjenjuje se da će rijeka u Forbesu poplaviti preko 600 kuća i farmi. Zadnji puta su tako visoke razine vode bile zabilježene 1952.

Zbog meteorološkog fenomena La Nina, koji donosi obilne padaline, istok Australije je ove godine već četvrti puta poplavljen.

Obilne kiše su se najviše obrušile na države Novi Južni Wales i sjeveroistočni dio Viktorije. Od kada postoje mjerenja, podaci pokazuju da je grad Cowra, 300 kilometara zapadno od Sydneya, primio 121 mm kiše u 24 sata, najviše u posljednjih 118 godina.

Premijer Dominic Perrottet je kazao da će savezna vlada rasporediti dodatnih 100 timova za pomoć. Iz Novog Zealanda su kao pomoć stigli dobrovoljci, a zatražena je i pomoć SAD-a i Singapura.

Stotine stanovnika na poplavama pogođenom jugoistoku Australije spašeno je helikopterima i čamcima nakon što je razina vode u utorak naglo porasla te su cijeli gradovi odsječeni od ostatka zemlje, a kuće, autoceste, mostovi i farme poplavljeni.

Timovi za izvanredna stanja su u Novom Južnom Walesu helikopterima su spašavali ljudi s krovova kuća, a u protekla 24 sata izvedene je preko 200 spasilačkih operacija od poplava.

Neki su ljudi spas od poplava pronašli i u krošnjama drveća, navodi vatrogasna služba Novog Južnog Walesa. Prema službenim informacijama, helikopterima je do sada spašeno 67 ljudi.

Zbog naglog podizanja razine vode rijeke Lachlan izdana je naredba za evakuaciju za Forbes, ruralno mjesro s oko 8000 stanovnika.

Procjenjuje se da će rijeka u Forbesu poplaviti preko 600 kuća i farmi. Zadnji puta su tako visoke razine vode bile zabilježene 1952.

Zbog meteorološkog fenomena La Nina, koji donosi obilne padaline, istok Australije je ove godine već četvrti puta poplavljen.

Obilne kiše su se najviše obrušile na države Novi Južni Wales i sjeveroistočni dio Viktorije. Od kada postoje mjerenja, podaci pokazuju da je grad Cowra, 300 kilometara zapadno od Sydneya, primio 121 mm kiše u 24 sata, najviše u posljednjih 118 godina.

Premijer Dominic Perrottet je kazao da će savezna vlada rasporediti dodatnih 100 timova za pomoć. Iz Novog Zealanda su kao pomoć stigli dobrovoljci, a zatražena je i pomoć SAD-a i Singapura.

Stotine stanovnika na poplavama pogođenom jugoistoku Australije spašeno je helikopterima i čamcima nakon što je razina vode u utorak naglo porasla te su cijeli gradovi odsječeni od ostatka zemlje, a kuće, autoceste, mostovi i farme poplavljeni.

Timovi za izvanredna stanja su u Novom Južnom Walesu helikopterima su spašavali ljudi s krovova kuća, a u protekla 24 sata izvedene je preko 200 spasilačkih operacija od poplava.

Neki su ljudi spas od poplava pronašli i u krošnjama drveća, navodi vatrogasna služba Novog Južnog Walesa. Prema službenim informacijama, helikopterima je do sada spašeno 67 ljudi.

Zbog naglog podizanja razine vode rijeke Lachlan izdana je naredba za evakuaciju za Forbes, ruralno mjesro s oko 8000 stanovnika.

Procjenjuje se da će rijeka u Forbesu poplaviti preko 600 kuća i farmi. Zadnji puta su tako visoke razine vode bile zabilježene 1952.

Zbog meteorološkog fenomena La Nina, koji donosi obilne padaline, istok Australije je ove godine već četvrti puta poplavljen.

Obilne kiše su se najviše obrušile na države Novi Južni Wales i sjeveroistočni dio Viktorije. Od kada postoje mjerenja, podaci pokazuju da je grad Cowra, 300 kilometara zapadno od Sydneya, primio 121 mm kiše u 24 sata, najviše u posljednjih 118 godina.

Premijer Dominic Perrottet je kazao da će savezna vlada rasporediti dodatnih 100 timova za pomoć. Iz Novog Zealanda su kao pomoć stigli dobrovoljci, a zatražena je i pomoć SAD-a i Singapura.
