Vijest o rezultatima Gabriela Borića u drugom krugu predsjedničkih izbora s nestrpljenjem je čekao i Domagoj Kombura, također jedan od daljnjih ugljanskih rođaka novog predsjednika Čilea. 

- Cijelu noć sam pratio njegov profil na Facebooku. Znao sam što se događa iz minute u minutu. Čim je proglasio pobjedu, na svom profilu sam objavio da nam je rođak postao predsjednik. Nakon toga sam imao još tri-četiri objave – kaže Domagoj, inače prvi rođak Zdenke Borić. Naime, Domagojeva nana Vilma i Zdenkin otac Slavko Borić su brat i sestra.

- Moja je nona mladenački bila Borić. Kombura su također iz Ugljana, ali su ostale samo tri-četiri familije – kaže Domagoj koji je Gabriela upoznao 2010. kada je s braćom posjetio mjesto i otok Ugljan.

- Izgledao je kao dobar momak, normalan čovjek. Hrvatski nije znao ni riječi, ali je odlično govorio engleski. Bili smo na pizzi, napravili smo đir Ugljanom i pomalo o svemu razgovarali. Napravili smo i desetak slika, ali mi je taj mobitel upao u more, i ništa nisam uspio sačuvati... – žali Domagoj.

Gabriel je tada bio u centru čileanske javnosti kao jedan od vođa studentskih prosvjeda i govorio je o potrebama nužnih reformi u Čileu kojeg su od ubojstva Allendea 1973. vodili više ili manje ultrakonzervativni političari, politički nasljednici generala Pinocheta.

- Pričao je o Čileu i govorio kako će on biti predsjednik. Mi smo ga gledali i govorili, „a dobro, bit ćeš”. Ja sam dvije godine stariji od njega i ne znaš čovjeka pa se slažeš, ali ne vjeruješ da je tako nešto moguće. Nismo mu rekli da je lud, ali smo mislili, „što ovaj govori?” Na isti način mu je i Zdenka rekla da će, ako postane predsjednik, poslati po nju predsjednički avion. I sad se to dogodilo! On je postao predsjednik! Pazi što želiš da ti se želje ne bi ispunile – šali se Domagoj koji je već danima u izolaciji zbog korone.

- Ma hoćemo, napravit ćemo feštu, ali ne mogu iz kuće, sve do iza Božića. Htjeli smo nešto 'zavrtit', ali ovako ne možeš ništa. Ali neka, bit će vremena za feštu, neka je nama naš Ugljanac postao prvi čovjek Čilea!

Vijest o rezultatima Gabriela Borića u drugom krugu predsjedničkih izbora s nestrpljenjem je čekao i Domagoj Kombura, također jedan od daljnjih ugljanskih rođaka novog predsjednika Čilea. 

- Cijelu noć sam pratio njegov profil na Facebooku. Znao sam što se događa iz minute u minutu. Čim je proglasio pobjedu, na svom profilu sam objavio da nam je rođak postao predsjednik. Nakon toga sam imao još tri-četiri objave – kaže Domagoj, inače prvi rođak Zdenke Borić. Naime, Domagojeva nana Vilma i Zdenkin otac Slavko Borić su brat i sestra.

- Moja je nona mladenački bila Borić. Kombura su također iz Ugljana, ali su ostale samo tri-četiri familije – kaže Domagoj koji je Gabriela upoznao 2010. kada je s braćom posjetio mjesto i otok Ugljan.

- Izgledao je kao dobar momak, normalan čovjek. Hrvatski nije znao ni riječi, ali je odlično govorio engleski. Bili smo na pizzi, napravili smo đir Ugljanom i pomalo o svemu razgovarali. Napravili smo i desetak slika, ali mi je taj mobitel upao u more, i ništa nisam uspio sačuvati... – žali Domagoj.

Gabriel je tada bio u centru čileanske javnosti kao jedan od vođa studentskih prosvjeda i govorio je o potrebama nužnih reformi u Čileu kojeg su od ubojstva Allendea 1973. vodili više ili manje ultrakonzervativni političari, politički nasljednici generala Pinocheta.

- Pričao je o Čileu i govorio kako će on biti predsjednik. Mi smo ga gledali i govorili, „a dobro, bit ćeš”. Ja sam dvije godine stariji od njega i ne znaš čovjeka pa se slažeš, ali ne vjeruješ da je tako nešto moguće. Nismo mu rekli da je lud, ali smo mislili, „što ovaj govori?” Na isti način mu je i Zdenka rekla da će, ako postane predsjednik, poslati po nju predsjednički avion. I sad se to dogodilo! On je postao predsjednik! Pazi što želiš da ti se želje ne bi ispunile – šali se Domagoj koji je već danima u izolaciji zbog korone.

- Ma hoćemo, napravit ćemo feštu, ali ne mogu iz kuće, sve do iza Božića. Htjeli smo nešto 'zavrtit', ali ovako ne možeš ništa. Ali neka, bit će vremena za feštu, neka je nama naš Ugljanac postao prvi čovjek Čilea!

Vijest o rezultatima Gabriela Borića u drugom krugu predsjedničkih izbora s nestrpljenjem je čekao i Domagoj Kombura, također jedan od daljnjih ugljanskih rođaka novog predsjednika Čilea. 

- Cijelu noć sam pratio njegov profil na Facebooku. Znao sam što se događa iz minute u minutu. Čim je proglasio pobjedu, na svom profilu sam objavio da nam je rođak postao predsjednik. Nakon toga sam imao još tri-četiri objave – kaže Domagoj, inače prvi rođak Zdenke Borić. Naime, Domagojeva nana Vilma i Zdenkin otac Slavko Borić su brat i sestra.

- Moja je nona mladenački bila Borić. Kombura su također iz Ugljana, ali su ostale samo tri-četiri familije – kaže Domagoj koji je Gabriela upoznao 2010. kada je s braćom posjetio mjesto i otok Ugljan.

- Izgledao je kao dobar momak, normalan čovjek. Hrvatski nije znao ni riječi, ali je odlično govorio engleski. Bili smo na pizzi, napravili smo đir Ugljanom i pomalo o svemu razgovarali. Napravili smo i desetak slika, ali mi je taj mobitel upao u more, i ništa nisam uspio sačuvati... – žali Domagoj.
