Neke rijeke u Kini - uključujući i dijelove toka rijeke Jangce - presušile su zbog rekordne suše što negativno utječe na rad hidroelektrana i riječni promet brodova, a neke su kompanije bile primorane zaustaviti svoje uobičajene operacije, piše Guardian.

Zbog dugotrajne suše koja je zahvatila velik dio zemlje proglašena je i uzbuna, a prognoze kažu da će se toplinski valovi u gusto naseljenom jugozapadnom dijelu zemlje nastaviti i tijekom rujna.

Smanjeni protok vode kroz kineski vrlo razgranati sistem hidroelektrana izazvao je velike probleme u provinciji Sečuan koja čak 80 posto električne energije dobila upravo iz hidroelektrana. U nedjelju je vlada te provincije proglasila najviši stupanj uzbune zbog ‘posebno teške‘ situacije jer se protok vode kroz hidroelektrane prepolovio. U međuvremenu se potražnja za električnom energijom ovoga ljeta povećala za 25 posto, navodi Jutarnji list koji prenosi britanski Guardian.

Prošloga je tjedna provincija Sečuan ograničila isporuku električne energije za tisuće tvornica i smanjila javnu potrošnju struje. Među kompanijama koje su privremeno obustavile neke svoje operacije su i Toyota, Foxconn i Tesla. U nedjelju je South China Morning Post objavio da su planovi za ponovno pokretanje proizvodnje ovoga tjedna, opet odgođeni.

Jangce je treća po veličini rijeka na svijetu koja pitkom vodom opskrbljuje više od 400 milijuna kineskih građana i za kinesku ekonomiju predstavlja najvažniji plovni put. Također je iznimno važna i za globalni opskrbni lanac, no ovoga ljeta je dosegla rekordno nisku razinu pa su presušili čitavi dijelovi i deseci pritoka. Protok vode u glavnom koritu je za 50 posto manji od petogodišnjeg prosjeka. Zatvoreni su i plovni putevi u središnjim i nizvodnim područjima.

Diljem pogođenih regija Kine, vlasti su požurile osigurati opskrbu vodom i električnom energijom kako se približava sezona žetve usjeva poput riže i soje. U nedjelju su vlasti ispustile oko 980 milijuna kubičnih metara vode iz rezervoara kako bi pokušale nadoknaditi iznimno niski vodostaj, objavili su državni mediji.

Suša je pogodila najmanje 2,46 milijuna ljudi i 2,2 milijuna hektara poljoprivredne površine u provincijama Sečuan, Hebei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui i Chongqing. Više od 780.000 ljudi zbog suše treba izravnu pomoć vlade, objavilo je kinesko ministarstvo za upravljanje u hitnim situacijama.

Voda za piće doprema se u cisternama u područja koja su u potpunosti presušila. Visoke temperature su samo u srpnju prouzročile izravnu ekonomsku štetu od 2,73 milijarde juana (400 milijuna dolara), pri čemu je pogođeno oko 5,5 milijuna ljudi.

Kineske vlasti za sušu i toplinske valove krive klimatske promjene. Chen Lijuan, glavni prognostičar kineskog nacionalnog klimatskog centra, prošli je tjedan kombinaciju toplinskih valova i suše usporedio s ekspres loncem.

‘Moramo se suočiti s činjenicom da će se slični toplinski valovi u budućnosti događati sve češće i to će postati novo normalno‘, kazao je.

Međutim, najnoviji problemi u opskrbi strujom otežali su provedbu klimatskih obveza Kine. Prošli je tjedan zamjenik premijera te zemlje, Han Zheng, kazao da će zemlja povećati proizvodnju električne energije iz termoelektrana na ugljen.

U međuvremenu su izdana nova upozorenja zbog visokih temperatura i oskudnih padalina. Najviše, crveno upozorenje, bilo je za velik dio zemlje na snazi rekordnih deset uzastopnih dana zaključno s nedjeljom, piše Guardian.

Neke rijeke u Kini - uključujući i dijelove toka rijeke Jangce - presušile su zbog rekordne suše što negativno utječe na rad hidroelektrana i riječni promet brodova, a neke su kompanije bile primorane zaustaviti svoje uobičajene operacije, piše Guardian.

Zbog dugotrajne suše koja je zahvatila velik dio zemlje proglašena je i uzbuna, a prognoze kažu da će se toplinski valovi u gusto naseljenom jugozapadnom dijelu zemlje nastaviti i tijekom rujna.

Smanjeni protok vode kroz kineski vrlo razgranati sistem hidroelektrana izazvao je velike probleme u provinciji Sečuan koja čak 80 posto električne energije dobila upravo iz hidroelektrana. U nedjelju je vlada te provincije proglasila najviši stupanj uzbune zbog ‘posebno teške‘ situacije jer se protok vode kroz hidroelektrane prepolovio. U međuvremenu se potražnja za električnom energijom ovoga ljeta povećala za 25 posto, navodi Jutarnji list koji prenosi britanski Guardian.

Prošloga je tjedna provincija Sečuan ograničila isporuku električne energije za tisuće tvornica i smanjila javnu potrošnju struje. Među kompanijama koje su privremeno obustavile neke svoje operacije su i Toyota, Foxconn i Tesla. U nedjelju je South China Morning Post objavio da su planovi za ponovno pokretanje proizvodnje ovoga tjedna, opet odgođeni.

Jangce je treća po veličini rijeka na svijetu koja pitkom vodom opskrbljuje više od 400 milijuna kineskih građana i za kinesku ekonomiju predstavlja najvažniji plovni put. Također je iznimno važna i za globalni opskrbni lanac, no ovoga ljeta je dosegla rekordno nisku razinu pa su presušili čitavi dijelovi i deseci pritoka. Protok vode u glavnom koritu je za 50 posto manji od petogodišnjeg prosjeka. Zatvoreni su i plovni putevi u središnjim i nizvodnim područjima.

Diljem pogođenih regija Kine, vlasti su požurile osigurati opskrbu vodom i električnom energijom kako se približava sezona žetve usjeva poput riže i soje. U nedjelju su vlasti ispustile oko 980 milijuna kubičnih metara vode iz rezervoara kako bi pokušale nadoknaditi iznimno niski vodostaj, objavili su državni mediji.

Suša je pogodila najmanje 2,46 milijuna ljudi i 2,2 milijuna hektara poljoprivredne površine u provincijama Sečuan, Hebei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui i Chongqing. Više od 780.000 ljudi zbog suše treba izravnu pomoć vlade, objavilo je kinesko ministarstvo za upravljanje u hitnim situacijama.

Voda za piće doprema se u cisternama u područja koja su u potpunosti presušila. Visoke temperature su samo u srpnju prouzročile izravnu ekonomsku štetu od 2,73 milijarde juana (400 milijuna dolara), pri čemu je pogođeno oko 5,5 milijuna ljudi.

Kineske vlasti za sušu i toplinske valove krive klimatske promjene. Chen Lijuan, glavni prognostičar kineskog nacionalnog klimatskog centra, prošli je tjedan kombinaciju toplinskih valova i suše usporedio s ekspres loncem.

‘Moramo se suočiti s činjenicom da će se slični toplinski valovi u budućnosti događati sve češće i to će postati novo normalno‘, kazao je.

Međutim, najnoviji problemi u opskrbi strujom otežali su provedbu klimatskih obveza Kine. Prošli je tjedan zamjenik premijera te zemlje, Han Zheng, kazao da će zemlja povećati proizvodnju električne energije iz termoelektrana na ugljen.

U međuvremenu su izdana nova upozorenja zbog visokih temperatura i oskudnih padalina. Najviše, crveno upozorenje, bilo je za velik dio zemlje na snazi rekordnih deset uzastopnih dana zaključno s nedjeljom, piše Guardian.
