Cjepiva protiv bolesti covid-19 koja su temeljena na novoj tehnologiji prenošenja informacija o RNK virusa možda treba dodatno ispitati prije nego postane jasno jesu li sigurna za onkološke bolesnike sa solidnim tumorima, ocijenili su stručnjaci za liječenje oboljelih od karcinoma.

To bi se odnosilo na cjepiva koja su razvili Pfizer/BioNTech i Moderna.

Ta cjepiva djeluju tako da prenose na razini gena upute za stvaranje proteina virusa koji imuni sustav nauči prepoznavati i boriti se protiv njega.

Taj glasnički RNK spremljen je u mikroskopski paket nazvan lipidna nanočestica (LNP) ili liposom koji štiti i prenosi krhku molekulu do stanica.

Iako je ta tehnika na polju razvoja cjepiva nova, dugo se koristi kako bi prenosila lijekove protiv raka do tumora zbog toga što tumori lako prihvaćaju liposome.

To otvara mogućnost da tumorsko tkivo 'uhvati' neke od tih liposoma iz cjepiva koji nose informaciju o RNK virusa, kaže Gerard Milano sa sveučilišta u Nici.

Mogućnost da dio cjepiva zaglavi u tumoru i rezultirajući učinak na onkološkog bolesnika "otvoreno je pitanje za koje sada nema odgovora", kaže Milano.

U radu objavljenom u srijedu u časopisu British Journal of Cancer njegov je tim pozvao na "pažljivu procjenu učinkovitosti kod pacijenata sa solidnim tumorima tih obećavajućih cjepiva protiv bolesti covid-19 s informacijom o RNK, koja se daju kao prenositelji lipida, uključujući i preispitivanje doze za optimalnu zaštitu te specifične i osjetljive populacije".

Cjepiva protiv bolesti covid-19 koja su temeljena na novoj tehnologiji prenošenja informacija o RNK virusa možda treba dodatno ispitati prije nego postane jasno jesu li sigurna za onkološke bolesnike sa solidnim tumorima, ocijenili su stručnjaci za liječenje oboljelih od karcinoma.

To bi se odnosilo na cjepiva koja su razvili Pfizer/BioNTech i Moderna.

Ta cjepiva djeluju tako da prenose na razini gena upute za stvaranje proteina virusa koji imuni sustav nauči prepoznavati i boriti se protiv njega.

Taj glasnički RNK spremljen je u mikroskopski paket nazvan lipidna nanočestica (LNP) ili liposom koji štiti i prenosi krhku molekulu do stanica.

Iako je ta tehnika na polju razvoja cjepiva nova, dugo se koristi kako bi prenosila lijekove protiv raka do tumora zbog toga što tumori lako prihvaćaju liposome.

To otvara mogućnost da tumorsko tkivo 'uhvati' neke od tih liposoma iz cjepiva koji nose informaciju o RNK virusa, kaže Gerard Milano sa sveučilišta u Nici.

Mogućnost da dio cjepiva zaglavi u tumoru i rezultirajući učinak na onkološkog bolesnika "otvoreno je pitanje za koje sada nema odgovora", kaže Milano.

U radu objavljenom u srijedu u časopisu British Journal of Cancer njegov je tim pozvao na "pažljivu procjenu učinkovitosti kod pacijenata sa solidnim tumorima tih obećavajućih cjepiva protiv bolesti covid-19 s informacijom o RNK, koja se daju kao prenositelji lipida, uključujući i preispitivanje doze za optimalnu zaštitu te specifične i osjetljive populacije".

Cjepiva protiv bolesti covid-19 koja su temeljena na novoj tehnologiji prenošenja informacija o RNK virusa možda treba dodatno ispitati prije nego postane jasno jesu li sigurna za onkološke bolesnike sa solidnim tumorima, ocijenili su stručnjaci za liječenje oboljelih od karcinoma.

To bi se odnosilo na cjepiva koja su razvili Pfizer/BioNTech i Moderna.

Ta cjepiva djeluju tako da prenose na razini gena upute za stvaranje proteina virusa koji imuni sustav nauči prepoznavati i boriti se protiv njega.

Taj glasnički RNK spremljen je u mikroskopski paket nazvan lipidna nanočestica (LNP) ili liposom koji štiti i prenosi krhku molekulu do stanica.
