General Mark Milley napustio je u petak svoj položaj šefa Združenog stožera američkih snaga nakon mandata obilježenog brojnim krizama u inozemstvu, ali i u SAD-u.

Na njegovo će mjesto doći Charles "C.Q." Brown, aktualni šef zračnih snaga. Nakon Colina Powella 90-tih godina, bit će drugi Afroamerikanac koji će zauzeti najviše mjesto najmoćnije vojske na svijetu.

Otkad je preuzeo funkciju u listopadu 2019., događale su se kriza za krizom, bez prestanka, rekao je nedavno za AFP.

Uz bok ministra Lloyda Austina, Milley je organizirao američku vojnu pomoć Ukrajini nakon ruske invazije.

Njegov mandat obilježio je i američki debakl u Kabulu, kada su u kolovozu 2021. talibani ponovno preuzeli kontrolu nad Afganistanom i njegovim glavnim gradom na kraju dvadesetogodišnjeg rata koji je čak i sam Milley opisao kao "strateški neuspjeh".

General Milley također je izrazio žaljenje što je bio prisutan uz Donalda Trumpa kada je predsjednik rastjerao demonstracije pokreta "Životi crnaca su važni" ispred Bijele kuće.

Njegov nasljednik, C.Q. Brown, iskusni je pilot s 3000 sati leta, od kojih 130 borbenih. Bio je zapovjednik američkih zračnih snaga na Bliskom istoku i na Pacifiku.

General Mark Milley napustio je u petak svoj položaj šefa Združenog stožera američkih snaga nakon mandata obilježenog brojnim krizama u inozemstvu, ali i u SAD-u.

Na njegovo će mjesto doći Charles "C.Q." Brown, aktualni šef zračnih snaga. Nakon Colina Powella 90-tih godina, bit će drugi Afroamerikanac koji će zauzeti najviše mjesto najmoćnije vojske na svijetu.

Otkad je preuzeo funkciju u listopadu 2019., događale su se kriza za krizom, bez prestanka, rekao je nedavno za AFP.

Uz bok ministra Lloyda Austina, Milley je organizirao američku vojnu pomoć Ukrajini nakon ruske invazije.

Njegov mandat obilježio je i američki debakl u Kabulu, kada su u kolovozu 2021. talibani ponovno preuzeli kontrolu nad Afganistanom i njegovim glavnim gradom na kraju dvadesetogodišnjeg rata koji je čak i sam Milley opisao kao "strateški neuspjeh".

General Milley također je izrazio žaljenje što je bio prisutan uz Donalda Trumpa kada je predsjednik rastjerao demonstracije pokreta "Životi crnaca su važni" ispred Bijele kuće.

Njegov nasljednik, C.Q. Brown, iskusni je pilot s 3000 sati leta, od kojih 130 borbenih. Bio je zapovjednik američkih zračnih snaga na Bliskom istoku i na Pacifiku.

Smjena u vrhu američke vojske: nakon generala kojeg su pratile krize, na čelo Združenog stožera dolazi šef zračnih snaga

General Mark Milley napustio je u petak svoj položaj šefa Združenog stožera američkih snaga nakon mandata obilježenog brojnim krizama u inozemstvu, ali i u SAD-u.

Na njegovo će mjesto doći Charles "C.Q." Brown, aktualni šef zračnih snaga. Nakon Colina Powella 90-tih godina, bit će drugi Afroamerikanac koji će zauzeti najviše mjesto najmoćnije vojske na svijetu.

Otkad je preuzeo funkciju u listopadu 2019., događale su se kriza za krizom, bez prestanka, rekao je nedavno za AFP.

Uz bok ministra Lloyda Austina, Milley je organizirao američku vojnu pomoć Ukrajini nakon ruske invazije.

Njegov mandat obilježio je i američki debakl u Kabulu, kada su u kolovozu 2021. talibani ponovno preuzeli kontrolu nad Afganistanom i njegovim glavnim gradom na kraju dvadesetogodišnjeg rata koji je čak i sam Milley opisao kao "strateški neuspjeh".

General Milley također je izrazio žaljenje što je bio prisutan uz Donalda Trumpa kada je predsjednik rastjerao demonstracije pokreta "Životi crnaca su važni" ispred Bijele kuće.

Njegov nasljednik, C.Q. Brown, iskusni je pilot s 3000 sati leta, od kojih 130 borbenih. Bio je zapovjednik američkih zračnih snaga na Bliskom istoku i na Pacifiku.
