Papa Franjo našao se u ponedjeljak na udaru kritika jer je mlade Ruse pozvao da ne zaborave da su nasljednici careva poput Petra Velikog, na kojega se pozivao ruski predsjednik Vladimir Putin kada je opravdavao invaziju na Ukrajinu.

Franjo je sporne izjave dao u petak u video obraćanju katoličkoj mladeži okupljenoj u Sankt Petersburgu.

Isprva je pročitao pripremljen govor na španjolskom, a zatim se prebacio na talijanski i rekao: "Ne zaboravite svoju baštinu. Vi ste nasljednici velike Rusije: velike Rusije careva, kraljeva, velike Rusije Petra Velikog, Katarine II., velikog Ruskog carstva, velike kulture, humanizma. Vi ste nasljednici velike majke Rusije. Nastavite tim putem!".

Vatikan je u subotu objavio tekst obraćanja, ali je izostavio posljednji, improvizirani odlomak. Video Papina obraćanja prenijele su vjerske internetske stranice.

"Slušajući kako rimski papa, u ovome složenom povijesnom trenutku, uzdiže Katarinu II. ... to je za brojne katolike pomalo čudno", piše u uredničkom osvrtu talijanski Il Sismografo, portal specijaliziran za katoličke teme.

Carica poznata kao Katarina Velika koja je vladala od 1729. do 1796. pripojila je Krim 1783. Također se navodi da je Katarina štitila isusovce na ruskom teritoriju, nakon što ih je papa Klement XIV. godine 1773. želio ugasiti u ostatku svijeta. Papa Franjo je isusovac.

Putin je prošle godine odao počast caru Petru Velikom, drugoj povijesnoj osobi koju je spomenuo Franjo, povlačeći paralelu između sebe i ruskog cara u onome što vidi kao povijesni zadatak spajanja ruskih zemalja.

"Ovo je stvarno revoltirajuće", napisao je o Papinim izjavama bivši estonski predsjednik Toomas Hendrik na društvenoj mreži X, bivšem Twitteru.

Nexta, internetska stranica koja prenosi vijesti iz Bjelorusije i Poljske, objavila je na X-u: "Usput budi rečeno, katolici u Poljskoj, Litvi i Bjelorusiji triput su ustali protiv tog "prosvijećenog carstva‘".

Vlada u Kijevu zasad nije komentirala Papine izjave.

Papa Franjo našao se u ponedjeljak na udaru kritika jer je mlade Ruse pozvao da ne zaborave da su nasljednici careva poput Petra Velikog, na kojega se pozivao ruski predsjednik Vladimir Putin kada je opravdavao invaziju na Ukrajinu.

Franjo je sporne izjave dao u petak u video obraćanju katoličkoj mladeži okupljenoj u Sankt Petersburgu.

Isprva je pročitao pripremljen govor na španjolskom, a zatim se prebacio na talijanski i rekao: "Ne zaboravite svoju baštinu. Vi ste nasljednici velike Rusije: velike Rusije careva, kraljeva, velike Rusije Petra Velikog, Katarine II., velikog Ruskog carstva, velike kulture, humanizma. Vi ste nasljednici velike majke Rusije. Nastavite tim putem!".

Vatikan je u subotu objavio tekst obraćanja, ali je izostavio posljednji, improvizirani odlomak. Video Papina obraćanja prenijele su vjerske internetske stranice.

"Slušajući kako rimski papa, u ovome složenom povijesnom trenutku, uzdiže Katarinu II. ... to je za brojne katolike pomalo čudno", piše u uredničkom osvrtu talijanski Il Sismografo, portal specijaliziran za katoličke teme.

Carica poznata kao Katarina Velika koja je vladala od 1729. do 1796. pripojila je Krim 1783. Također se navodi da je Katarina štitila isusovce na ruskom teritoriju, nakon što ih je papa Klement XIV. godine 1773. želio ugasiti u ostatku svijeta. Papa Franjo je isusovac.

Nexta, internetska stranica koja prenosi vijesti iz Bjelorusije i Poljske, objavila je na X-u: "Usput budi rečeno, katolici u Poljskoj, Litvi i Bjelorusiji triput su ustali protiv tog "prosvijećenog carstva‘".

Vlada u Kijevu zasad nije komentirala Papine izjave.

Papa Franjo našao se u ponedjeljak na udaru kritika jer je mlade Ruse pozvao da ne zaborave da su nasljednici careva poput Petra Velikog, na kojega se pozivao ruski predsjednik Vladimir Putin kada je opravdavao invaziju na Ukrajinu.

Franjo je sporne izjave dao u petak u video obraćanju katoličkoj mladeži okupljenoj u Sankt Petersburgu.

Isprva je pročitao pripremljen govor na španjolskom, a zatim se prebacio na talijanski i rekao: "Ne zaboravite svoju baštinu. Vi ste nasljednici velike Rusije: velike Rusije careva, kraljeva, velike Rusije Petra Velikog, Katarine II., velikog Ruskog carstva, velike kulture, humanizma. Vi ste nasljednici velike majke Rusije. Nastavite tim putem!".

Vatikan je u subotu objavio tekst obraćanja, ali je izostavio posljednji, improvizirani odlomak. Video Papina obraćanja prenijele su vjerske internetske stranice.

"Slušajući kako rimski papa, u ovome složenom povijesnom trenutku, uzdiže Katarinu II. ... to je za brojne katolike pomalo čudno", piše u uredničkom osvrtu talijanski Il Sismografo, portal specijaliziran za katoličke teme.

Carica poznata kao Katarina Velika koja je vladala od 1729. do 1796. pripojila je Krim 1783. Također se navodi da je Katarina štitila isusovce na ruskom teritoriju, nakon što ih je papa Klement XIV. godine 1773. želio ugasiti u ostatku svijeta. Papa Franjo je isusovac.
