Kad je Francuska prošlog proljeća ušla u jednu od najstrožih blokada u svijetu zbog povećanja slučajeva zaraženih od koronavirusa, mnogi su vjerovali da će dugotrajni boravak kod kuće tijekom lockdowna popraviti natalitet zemalja, piše Jutarnji list.
No, nakon devet mjeseci umjesto procvata, Francuska bilježi nagli pad broja novorođenih. U glavnoj javnoj bolnici u Saint-Denise u blizini Pariza broj rođenih beba pao je za 20-ak posto između sredine prosinca i sredine siječnja, a očekuje se da će ostati ispod razine iz 2020. godine barem tijekom prve police godine, prenosi Washington Post.
Potpuni učinak pandemije na francuski natalitet neće biti poznat mjesecima, ali stručnjaci su uvjereni da su iznenadni padovi koje bilježe i druga rodilišta u Francuskoj previše strmi i nagli da bi bili slučajni.

No, osim Francuske pad nataliteta bilježe i u Italiji. Porođaja je u prosincu manje za više od 21 posto u 15 najvećih talijanskih gradova.
Pad nataliteta predviđa i SAD. Istraživački Institut Brookings procjenjuje da bi ove godine Sjedinjene Države mogle zabilježiti pad od 300.000 manje rođenih nego 2019. godine, dakle oko 20 posto.
Preliminarni podaci pokazuju da se stopa nataliteta smanjila između 5% i 8% u drugoj polovici 2020. u usporedbi sa 2019. u državama poput Floride, Kalifornije i Ohija. Podaci počinju odražavati ljude koji su se u ožujku 2020. predomišljali hoće li rađati djecu.
Politika jednog djeteta
Čak i prije pandemije, SAD se nije oporavio od pada nataliteta koji je uslijedio nakon Velike recesije od 2007. do 2009. Sjedinjene Države posljednjih godina bilježe oko 3,9 milijuna poroda godišnje. Broj je pao ispod 3,8 milijuna u 2018. i 2019. godini, pokazuju podaci Nacionalnog centra za zdravstvenu statistiku.
Broj rođenih u Kini u 2020., koja je prva doživjela sve posljedice pandemije, smanjio se za gotovo trećinu od ukupnog broja rođenih zabilježenih godinu dana ranije. Nakon desetljeća "politike jednog djeteta", Peking je 2016. promijenio pravila kako bi omogućio obiteljima da imaju dvoje djece jer su rasli strahovi zbog kineskog starenja stanovništva i smanjenja radne snage.

Podaci Ministarstva sigurnosti objavljeni u ponedjeljak pokazuju da je u 2020. godini bilo 10,04 milijuna rođenih, što je 15% manje od broja registriranih rođenih prijavljenih početkom prošle godine za 2019. godinu.
Istog mjeseca službeni zavod za statistiku izvijestio je o većoj brojci od 14,65 milijuna beba rođenih 2019. godine - više od 30% u odnosu na najnovije podatke o rođenju objavljene ovaj tjedan.
Zemlje u razvoju
Stručnjaci navode nekoliko razloga za takav pad nataliteta. Onaj primarni je ekonomske prirode. Primjerice, u slučaju Francuske, gospodarstvo bilježi pad za 5,8 posto u prvom tromjesečju, što je najviše od početka evidencije 1949.
Nesigurnost zaposlenja i ograničenja okupljanja, također su imala doprinos. Neke obitelji pak bile su pod pritiskom zbog rada od kuće tijekom kojeg su se istovremeno morali brinuti za djecu nakon što su škole bile zatvorene.
Francuski istraživači došli su i do korelacije da su siromašni dijelovi poput Saint Denisa, koji bilježe nisku stopu nataliteta, imali i jednu od najviših stopa smrtnosti od covida-19. Slična siromašna pariška predgrađa bilježila su porast nasilja u obitelji.
Primjećuje se i da zemlje koje su imale blaže prvo zaključavanje, poput Njemačke, nemaju trend pada nataliteta.
Istovremeno porast nataliteta bilježe samo zemlje u razvoju, poput Indonezije i Filipina. Više slobodnog vremena, siromaštvo i nedostatak pristupa kontracepciji tijekom zaključavanja doveli su do porasta porođaja. Sveučilište na Filipinima i Fond UN-a za stanovništvo navodi da bi se u sljedećoj godini moglo roditi 214.000 neplaniranih beba.

Kad je Francuska prošlog proljeća ušla u jednu od najstrožih blokada u svijetu zbog povećanja slučajeva zaraženih od koronavirusa, mnogi su vjerovali da će dugotrajni boravak kod kuće tijekom lockdowna popraviti natalitet zemalja, piše Jutarnji list.
No, nakon devet mjeseci umjesto procvata, Francuska bilježi nagli pad broja novorođenih. U glavnoj javnoj bolnici u Saint-Denise u blizini Pariza broj rođenih beba pao je za 20-ak posto između sredine prosinca i sredine siječnja, a očekuje se da će ostati ispod razine iz 2020. godine barem tijekom prve police godine, prenosi Washington Post.
Potpuni učinak pandemije na francuski natalitet neće biti poznat mjesecima, ali stručnjaci su uvjereni da su iznenadni padovi koje bilježe i druga rodilišta u Francuskoj previše strmi i nagli da bi bili slučajni.
U pet velikih sveučilišnih bolnica u regiji Lorraine na sjeveroistoku Francuske broj rođenih je pao za 10 do 25 posto u siječnju u usporedbi s istim mjesecom prošle godine.
U južnoj Francuskoj situaciji je slična. U Lyonu, drugom po veličini francuskom metropolitanskom području, dvije su bolnice prijavile u siječnju kontinuirani pad broja rođenih za 19 posto. Bolnički odjeli rani su znak da pandemija može oblikovati demografske podatke.
Preliminarni podaci
No, osim Francuske pad nataliteta bilježe i u Italiji. Porođaja je u prosincu manje za više od 21 posto u 15 najvećih talijanskih gradova.
Pad nataliteta predviđa i SAD. Istraživački Institut Brookings procjenjuje da bi ove godine Sjedinjene Države mogle zabilježiti pad od 300.000 manje rođenih nego 2019. godine, dakle oko 20 posto.
Preliminarni podaci pokazuju da se stopa nataliteta smanjila između 5% i 8% u drugoj polovici 2020. u usporedbi sa 2019. u državama poput Floride, Kalifornije i Ohija. Podaci počinju odražavati ljude koji su se u ožujku 2020. predomišljali hoće li rađati djecu.
Politika jednog djeteta
Čak i prije pandemije, SAD se nije oporavio od pada nataliteta koji je uslijedio nakon Velike recesije od 2007. do 2009. Sjedinjene Države posljednjih godina bilježe oko 3,9 milijuna poroda godišnje. Broj je pao ispod 3,8 milijuna u 2018. i 2019. godini, pokazuju podaci Nacionalnog centra za zdravstvenu statistiku.
Broj rođenih u Kini u 2020., koja je prva doživjela sve posljedice pandemije, smanjio se za gotovo trećinu od ukupnog broja rođenih zabilježenih godinu dana ranije. Nakon desetljeća "politike jednog djeteta", Peking je 2016. promijenio pravila kako bi omogućio obiteljima da imaju dvoje djece jer su rasli strahovi zbog kineskog starenja stanovništva i smanjenja radne snage.
No, promjena još nije urodila baby boomom te se predviđa da će biti potrebno i 15 godina da se vidi pomak. Podaci Ministarstva sigurnosti objavljeni u ponedjeljak pokazuju da je u 2020. godini bilo 10,04 milijuna rođenih, što je 15% manje od broja registriranih rođenih prijavljenih početkom prošle godine za 2019. godinu.
Istog mjeseca službeni zavod za statistiku izvijestio je o većoj brojci od 14,65 milijuna beba rođenih 2019. godine - više od 30% u odnosu na najnovije podatke o rođenju objavljene ovaj tjedan.
Zemlje u razvoju
Stručnjaci navode nekoliko razloga za takav pad nataliteta. Onaj primarni je ekonomske prirode. Primjerice, u slučaju Francuske, gospodarstvo bilježi pad za 5,8 posto u prvom tromjesečju, što je najviše od početka evidencije 1949.
Nesigurnost zaposlenja i ograničenja okupljanja, također su imala doprinos. Neke obitelji pak bile su pod pritiskom zbog rada od kuće tijekom kojeg su se istovremeno morali brinuti za djecu nakon što su škole bile zatvorene.
Francuski istraživači došli su i do korelacije da su siromašni dijelovi poput Saint Denisa, koji bilježe nisku stopu nataliteta, imali i jednu od najviših stopa smrtnosti od covida-19. Slična siromašna pariška predgrađa bilježila su porast nasilja u obitelji.
Primjećuje se i da zemlje koje su imale blaže prvo zaključavanje, poput Njemačke, nemaju trend pada nataliteta.
Istovremeno porast nataliteta bilježe samo zemlje u razvoju, poput Indonezije i Filipina. Više slobodnog vremena, siromaštvo i nedostatak pristupa kontracepciji tijekom zaključavanja doveli su do porasta porođaja. Sveučilište na Filipinima i Fond UN-a za stanovništvo navodi da bi se u sljedećoj godini moglo roditi 214.000 neplaniranih beba.
