Američki predsjednik Joe Biden i kineski predsjednik Xi Jinping dogovorili su u srijedu, nakon prvog sastanka u malo više od godinu dana, otvaranje izravne telefonske linije između dvojice lidera, ponovnu uspostavu kontakta između vojski dviju država i suradnju na suzbijanju proizvodnje fentanila. 

Biden i Xi gotovo su četiri sata razgovarali problemima koji remete američko-kineske odnose. 

Dvojica predsjednika planiraju obnoviti vojne kontakte koje je Kina prekinula u kolovozu 2022.godine kada je tadašnja predsjednica Zastupničkog doma američkog Kongresa Nancy Pelosi posjetila Tajvan. 

"Vraćamo se izravnoj i otvorenoj komunikaciji", rekao je Biden, dodavši da to vrijedi i za komunikaciju između dva predsjednička ureda. 

"Dogovorili smo se da svatko od nas može izravno preuzeti telefonski poziv, kako bismo se odmah čuli", kazao je.

Međutim, predsjednik SAD-a kasnije je rekao novinarima nešto što može naljutiti kinesku stranu, a to je da nije promijenio svoje mišljenje u Xi Jinpingu kao diktatoru.

"Hoću reći, on je diktator s obzirom da se radi o čovjeku koji upravlja komunističkom zemljom", izjavio je Biden.

Xi mu je odgovorio da negativne percepcije o Komunističkoj partiji u SAD-u "nisu nimalo fer", prenosi jedan od američkih dužnosnika nakon sastanka. 

Razgovor dvojice čelnika bio je pokušaj da se izglade odnosi dviju velesila nakon što je američki borbeni zrakoplov u veljači ove godine oborio kineski balon koji je letio preko teritorija SAD-a, pod sumnjom da se radi o špijunskom balonu koji je prikupljao podatke o američkim vojnim lokacijama. 

Američki predsjednik naveo je koja to pitanja najviše brinu Washington, to su ljudska prava i agresivne aktivnosti Pekinga u Južnom kineskom moru.

"Razgovaramo, otvoreni smo jedan prema drugome kako ne bi bilo nesporazuma", rekao je Biden.

Nakon sastanka između dvojice predsjednika, očekuje se i sastanak između američkog ministra obrane Lloyda Austina i njegovog kineskog kolege, čim on bude imenovan, kazao je jedan visoki američki dužnosnik.

Biden i Xi usuglasili su se i s time da Kina zaustavi izvoz predmeta povezanih s proizvodnjom fentanila, vodećeg uzroka predoziranje drogom u SAD-u.

"To će spasiti živote", poručio je Biden koji se zahvalio Xiju na predanosti glede rješavanja ovog problema.

Što se tiče Tajvana, otoka na kojemu vlada demokratski režim, no koji Peking svojata kao dio Narodne Republike Kine, Xi traži mirno ujedinjenje s odmetnutim otokom. No, kineski je lider razgovor nastavio s uvjetima pod kojima se može upotrijebiti sila.

Biden je, prema riječima visokog američkog dužnosnika, istaknuo potrebu za mirom i stabilnošću u Tajvanskom tjesnacu te se založio za održavanje statusa quo, dok od Kine očekuje da poštuje tajvanski izborni proces.

S druge strane, Xi je zatražio od SAD-a da prestane slati oružje Tajvanu i da podrži "mirno ujedinjenje" Kine i Tajvana, navode kineski državni mediji.

Američki predsjednik Joe Biden i kineski predsjednik Xi Jinping dogovorili su u srijedu, nakon prvog sastanka u malo više od godinu dana, otvaranje izravne telefonske linije između dvojice lidera, ponovnu uspostavu kontakta između vojski dviju država i suradnju na suzbijanju proizvodnje fentanila. 

Biden i Xi gotovo su četiri sata razgovarali problemima koji remete američko-kineske odnose. 

Dvojica predsjednika planiraju obnoviti vojne kontakte koje je Kina prekinula u kolovozu 2022.godine kada je tadašnja predsjednica Zastupničkog doma američkog Kongresa Nancy Pelosi posjetila Tajvan. 

"Vraćamo se izravnoj i otvorenoj komunikaciji", rekao je Biden, dodavši da to vrijedi i za komunikaciju između dva predsjednička ureda. 

"Dogovorili smo se da svatko od nas može izravno preuzeti telefonski poziv, kako bismo se odmah čuli", kazao je.

Međutim, predsjednik SAD-a kasnije je rekao novinarima nešto što može naljutiti kinesku stranu, a to je da nije promijenio svoje mišljenje u Xi Jinpingu kao diktatoru.

"Hoću reći, on je diktator s obzirom da se radi o čovjeku koji upravlja komunističkom zemljom", izjavio je Biden.

Xi mu je odgovorio da negativne percepcije o Komunističkoj partiji u SAD-u "nisu nimalo fer", prenosi jedan od američkih dužnosnika nakon sastanka. 

Razgovor dvojice čelnika bio je pokušaj da se izglade odnosi dviju velesila nakon što je američki borbeni zrakoplov u veljači ove godine oborio kineski balon koji je letio preko teritorija SAD-a, pod sumnjom da se radi o špijunskom balonu koji je prikupljao podatke o američkim vojnim lokacijama.

Biden i Xi usuglasili su se i s time da Kina zaustavi izvoz predmeta povezanih s proizvodnjom fentanila, vodećeg uzroka predoziranje drogom u SAD-u.

"To će spasiti živote", poručio je Biden koji se zahvalio Xiju na predanosti glede rješavanja ovog problema.

Što se tiče Tajvana, otoka na kojemu vlada demokratski režim, no koji Peking svojata kao dio Narodne Republike Kine, Xi traži mirno ujedinjenje s odmetnutim otokom. No, kineski je lider razgovor nastavio s uvjetima pod kojima se može upotrijebiti sila.

Biden je, prema riječima visokog američkog dužnosnika, istaknuo potrebu za mirom i stabilnošću u Tajvanskom tjesnacu te se založio za održavanje statusa quo, dok od Kine očekuje da poštuje tajvanski izborni proces.

S druge strane, Xi je zatražio od SAD-a da prestane slati oružje Tajvanu i da podrži "mirno ujedinjenje" Kine i Tajvana, navode kineski državni mediji.

Američki predsjednik Joe Biden i kineski predsjednik Xi Jinping dogovorili su u srijedu, nakon prvog sastanka u malo više od godinu dana, otvaranje izravne telefonske linije između dvojice lidera, ponovnu uspostavu kontakta između vojski dviju država i suradnju na suzbijanju proizvodnje fentanila. 

Biden i Xi gotovo su četiri sata razgovarali problemima koji remete američko-kineske odnose. 

Dvojica predsjednika planiraju obnoviti vojne kontakte koje je Kina prekinula u kolovozu 2022.godine kada je tadašnja predsjednica Zastupničkog doma američkog Kongresa Nancy Pelosi posjetila Tajvan. 

"Vraćamo se izravnoj i otvorenoj komunikaciji", rekao je Biden, dodavši da to vrijedi i za komunikaciju između dva predsjednička ureda. 

"Dogovorili smo se da svatko od nas može izravno preuzeti telefonski poziv, kako bismo se odmah čuli", kazao je.

Međutim, predsjednik SAD-a kasnije je rekao novinarima nešto što može naljutiti kinesku stranu, a to je da nije promijenio svoje mišljenje u Xi Jinpingu kao diktatoru.

"Hoću reći, on je diktator s obzirom da se radi o čovjeku koji upravlja komunističkom zemljom", izjavio je Biden.

Xi mu je odgovorio da negativne percepcije o Komunističkoj partiji u SAD-u "nisu nimalo fer", prenosi jedan od američkih dužnosnika nakon sastanka. 

Razgovor dvojice čelnika bio je pokušaj da se izglade odnosi dviju velesila nakon što je američki borbeni zrakoplov u veljači ove godine oborio kineski balon koji je letio preko teritorija SAD-a, pod sumnjom da se radi o špijunskom balonu koji je prikupljao podatke o američkim vojnim lokacijama.
