Na ulazu u Vukovarsku bolnicu postavljen je 185 centimetara visok i 500 kilograma težak kip od bračkog kamena pod nazivom „Ruža Hrvatska". On bi trebao postati mjesto spomena na tragediju koja se dogodila prije trideset godina. Ali danas, osim što podsjeća na Ružicu Markobašić, mjesto je spomena za sve trudnice i djecu ubijene u Domovinskom ratu, piše Deutsche Welle. 

I datum ovog čina pun je simbolike, a priča o Ružici Markobašić, iako tragična, na neki način ipak ulijeva nadu jer je spomenik otkrila njezina kći koja je u vrijeme majčinog ubojstva imala 13 godina i srećom je na vrijeme sklonjena iz Vukovara.

„Uvijek mi je teško o tome govoriti. Jako sam sretna što je ovo zaživjelo i zahvaljujem se Udruzi i Lidiji Dugan jer bez njih ovo se ne bi dogodilo", kazala je Adnana kojoj je samo svjedočanstvo očito nanosilo bol. „U šestom mjesecu 1991. godine majka me odvezla u Vinkovce gdje me je dočekala baka koja me odvezla u Bosnu. Do 1994. godine ništa nisam znala o majci koju pamtim kao najdivniju osobu na svijetu", rekla je Adnana prije nego ju je stegnuto grlo zaustavilo u priči.

Ona danas živi u Njemačkoj odakle je doputovala samo zbog ove prilike, da otkrije spomenik svojoj majci.

Ubijena jer je bila supruga branitelja

Tog studenoga te 1991. godine Ružica je odvedena u smrt baš zato što je bila supruga Davora Markobašića, koji se među prvima u policijskoj uniformi pridružio obrani Vukovara. 16. studenoga 2020. godine, 29 godina poslije ubojstva supruge i nerođenog sina, Davor Markobašić je preminuo u 68. godini života. Ovaj hrvatski branitelj i bivši pripadnik Tigrova nikada nije dočekao pravdu za svoju suprugu i sina. Simbolika 16. studenoga nastavljena je i ove godine otkrivanjem spomenika nevinoj žrtvi i njezinom nerođenom djetetu.

Iza inicijative stoje udruga Hrvatska za život i njena glavna koordinatorica Lidija Dugan. Oni su prije pet godina pokrenuli akciju i skupljanje donacija za podizanje ovog spomenika koji je financiran isključivo dobrovoljnim prilozima građana.

„Mi se borimo za zaštitu života od začeća do prirodne smrti. Sve je počelo 2015. godine kada smo posjetili Vukovar i umirovljeni pukovnik Hrvatske vojske vodio nas je po svim mjestima stradanja. Otišli smo na Ovčaru i tamo nam je ispričana priča o tragično stradaloj Ružici Markobašić i njezinom nerođenom sinu Antunu. Na tom mjestu je zasađeno 200 grmova i pitali smo se zbog čega nije zasađen još jedan grm ili na neki drugi način obilježena i smrt tog malenog nerođenog djeteta. Nismo dobili odgovore koji su nam bili zadovoljavajući. Zato smo odlučili pokrenuti vlastiti projekt i napraviti spomenik kako bi Ružica Markobašić, trudnica brutalno ubijena na Ovčari, i njezin nerođeni sin Antun, bili istrgnuti iz zaborava", ispričala nam je Lidija Dugan.

Spomenik i za sve majke koje su izgubile dijete

Autor spomenika „Ruža Hrvatska“ je akademski kipar Lovre Jakšić koji je već napravio jedan kip u središtu Vukovara – onaj posvećen Jean-Michel Nicolieru, francuskom dragovoljcu koji je ranjen prilikom obrane Vukovara i svoj mladi život je završio također na Ovčari, ubijen s ostalim ranjenicima iz vukovarske bolnice.

„Ne znamo točan broj ubijenih trudnica u Bitci za Vukovar, ali slučaj Ružice Markobašić izdvojen je radi toga što je otac nerođenog Antuna bio izuzetno važan u obrani Vukovara i zato je dijete ubijeno zajedno s majkom - u njega se pucalo", izjavila je Lidija Dugan te dodala kako ima još djece čije su majke bile kao trudnice ubijene za vrijeme Domovinskog rata. Spomenik je posvećen svima njima ne umanjujući ničiju žrtvu, rekla je. Pokojna Ružica postala je simbol svih njih.

„Ovo mjesto je zamišljeno kao mjesto pobjede, ovo mjesto je zamišljeno kao mjesto iscjeljenja. Mjesto na koje mogu doći sve majke koje su prošle iskustvo pobačaja, bilo da su same to odlučile učiniti ili da su doživjele spontani pobačaj, gubitak djeteta, ili članovi obitelji koji su izgubili trudnicu u ratu - da mogu doći ovdje i gledati u Ružicu i osjetiti mir u svom srcu", rekla je Lidija Dugan prilikom otkrivanja spomenika.

U ratu ubijeno 402 djevojčica i dječaka

Spomenik je otkriven dva dana prije Kolone sjećanja, u tjednu u kojem Vukovar obilježava najkrvaviju bitku Domovinskog rata, uz prisustvo gradonačelnika Vukovara Ivana Penave, crkvenih velikodostojnika, časnih sestara, redovnika i dvjestotinjak građana Vukovara ali i drugih gradova.

Ružica Markobašić identificirana je nakon ekshumacije na Ovčari i 1997. godine pokopana na groblju u Vinkovcima.

U Domovinskom ratu ubijeno je 402 djevojčice i dječaka, ali broj ubijenih trudnica nije poznat iako postoje mnogi pojedinačno dokumentiranih slučajeve ovakvih zločina.

Na ulazu u Vukovarsku bolnicu postavljen je 185 centimetara visok i 500 kilograma težak kip od bračkog kamena pod nazivom „Ruža Hrvatska". On bi trebao postati mjesto spomena na tragediju koja se dogodila prije trideset godina. Ali danas, osim što podsjeća na Ružicu Markobašić, mjesto je spomena za sve trudnice i djecu ubijene u Domovinskom ratu, piše Deutsche Welle. 

I datum ovog čina pun je simbolike, a priča o Ružici Markobašić, iako tragična, na neki način ipak ulijeva nadu jer je spomenik otkrila njezina kći koja je u vrijeme majčinog ubojstva imala 13 godina i srećom je na vrijeme sklonjena iz Vukovara.

„Uvijek mi je teško o tome govoriti. Jako sam sretna što je ovo zaživjelo i zahvaljujem se Udruzi i Lidiji Dugan jer bez njih ovo se ne bi dogodilo", kazala je Adnana kojoj je samo svjedočanstvo očito nanosilo bol. „U šestom mjesecu 1991. godine majka me odvezla u Vinkovce gdje me je dočekala baka koja me odvezla u Bosnu. Do 1994. godine ništa nisam znala o majci koju pamtim kao najdivniju osobu na svijetu", rekla je Adnana prije nego ju je stegnuto grlo zaustavilo u priči.

Ona danas živi u Njemačkoj odakle je doputovala samo zbog ove prilike, da otkrije spomenik svojoj majci.

Ubijena jer je bila supruga branitelja

Tog studenoga te 1991. godine Ružica je odvedena u smrt baš zato što je bila supruga Davora Markobašića, koji se među prvima u policijskoj uniformi pridružio obrani Vukovara. 16. studenoga 2020. godine, 29 godina poslije ubojstva supruge i nerođenog sina, Davor Markobašić je preminuo u 68. godini života. Ovaj hrvatski branitelj i bivši pripadnik Tigrova nikada nije dočekao pravdu za svoju suprugu i sina. Simbolika 16. studenoga nastavljena je i ove godine otkrivanjem spomenika nevinoj žrtvi i njezinom nerođenom djetetu.

Iza inicijative stoje udruga Hrvatska za život i njena glavna koordinatorica Lidija Dugan. Oni su prije pet godina pokrenuli akciju i skupljanje donacija za podizanje ovog spomenika koji je financiran isključivo dobrovoljnim prilozima građana.

„Mi se borimo za zaštitu života od začeća do prirodne smrti. Sve je počelo 2015. godine kada smo posjetili Vukovar i umirovljeni pukovnik Hrvatske vojske vodio nas je po svim mjestima stradanja. Otišli smo na Ovčaru i tamo nam je ispričana priča o tragično stradaloj Ružici Markobašić i njezinom nerođenom sinu Antunu. Na tom mjestu je zasađeno 200 grmova i pitali smo se zbog čega nije zasađen još jedan grm ili na neki drugi način obilježena i smrt tog malenog nerođenog djeteta. Nismo dobili odgovore koji su nam bili zadovoljavajući. Zato smo odlučili pokrenuti vlastiti projekt i napraviti spomenik kako bi Ružica Markobašić, trudnica brutalno ubijena na Ovčari, i njezin nerođeni sin Antun, bili istrgnuti iz zaborava", ispričala nam je Lidija Dugan.

Spomenik i za sve majke koje su izgubile dijete

Autor spomenika „Ruža Hrvatska“ je akademski kipar Lovre Jakšić koji je već napravio jedan kip u središtu Vukovara – onaj posvećen Jean-Michel Nicolieru, francuskom dragovoljcu koji je ranjen prilikom obrane Vukovara i svoj mladi život je završio također na Ovčari, ubijen s ostalim ranjenicima iz vukovarske bolnice.

„Ne znamo točan broj ubijenih trudnica u Bitci za Vukovar, ali slučaj Ružice Markobašić izdvojen je radi toga što je otac nerođenog Antuna bio izuzetno važan u obrani Vukovara i zato je dijete ubijeno zajedno s majkom - u njega se pucalo", izjavila je Lidija Dugan te dodala kako ima još djece čije su majke bile kao trudnice ubijene za vrijeme Domovinskog rata. Spomenik je posvećen svima njima ne umanjujući ničiju žrtvu, rekla je. Pokojna Ružica postala je simbol svih njih.

„Ovo mjesto je zamišljeno kao mjesto pobjede, ovo mjesto je zamišljeno kao mjesto iscjeljenja. Mjesto na koje mogu doći sve majke koje su prošle iskustvo pobačaja, bilo da su same to odlučile učiniti ili da su doživjele spontani pobačaj, gubitak djeteta, ili članovi obitelji koji su izgubili trudnicu u ratu - da mogu doći ovdje i gledati u Ružicu i osjetiti mir u svom srcu", rekla je Lidija Dugan prilikom otkrivanja spomenika.

U ratu ubijeno 402 djevojčica i dječaka

Spomenik je otkriven dva dana prije Kolone sjećanja, u tjednu u kojem Vukovar obilježava najkrvaviju bitku Domovinskog rata, uz prisustvo gradonačelnika Vukovara Ivana Penave, crkvenih velikodostojnika, časnih sestara, redovnika i dvjestotinjak građana Vukovara ali i drugih gradova.

Ružica Markobašić identificirana je nakon ekshumacije na Ovčari i 1997. godine pokopana na groblju u Vinkovcima.

U Domovinskom ratu ubijeno je 402 djevojčice i dječaka, ali broj ubijenih trudnica nije poznat iako postoje mnogi pojedinačno dokumentiranih slučajeve ovakvih zločina.
