Gost središnjeg Dnevnika HTV-a bio je dr. Igor Štagljar, jedan od hrvatskih vodećih molekularnih biologa.

Javio se putem Skypea iz kanadskog Toronta te je na početku komentirao velik broj novooboljelih u Hrvatskoj.

Podsjetimo, Nacionalni stožer objavio je u srijedu poslijepodne da je u 24 sata u našoj zemlji potvrđeno još 358 slučajeva.

- Očito je "vrag uzeo šalu" i moramo iz korijena mijenjati puno toga želimo li jesen dočekati sa što manjim brojem aktivnih slučajeva.

Dobra je stvar među ovim lošim vijestima danas, da je većina zaraženih, da se radi o mlađima i što su žarišta vezana uz bavljenje sportom.

Stoga sam mišljenja da su ove nove mjere koje je donio Stožer prijeko potrebne kako bi se suzbilo daljnje širenje virusa, a kako virus ne bi zahvatio stariju populaciju te osobe s imunokompromitiranim imunološkim sustavom. Postavlja se logično pitanje, nismo li predugo čekali s donošenjem ovakvih mjera.

Mi imamo sada jedan od najvećih postotaka testova pozitivnih na Covid-19 u Europi, ističe dr. Igor Štagljar, molekularni biolog i profesor na Sveučilištu u Torontu.

Postavlja se pitanje kada ćemo imati efikasno cjepivo, tko je tomu najbliži.

- To je jedno od najčešćih pitanja. Ima 200-tinjak farmaceutskih tvrtki i akademskih laboratorija koji rade na pripremi cjepiva. Čak 28 se ispituju na ljudima, a šest cjepiva se nalaze u trećoj najvažnijoj fazi kliničkih ispitivanja, ispituju na velikom broju uzoraka, više od 10 tisuća ispitanika. U sljedećih par mjeseci s nestrpljenjem iščekujemo rezultate tih ispitivanja, oni će nam dati do znanja koliko su ta cjepiva učinkovita. Koliko nas dobro štite, je li to 20, 50, 70 ili primjerice 90% zaštite.

Profesor Štagljar iznio je i svoje viđenje o ruskom cjepivu koje je u primjeni.

- To je jedna velika nepoznanica u svijetu znanosti, ne postoje dokazi da je sigurno i učinkovito. Nema publiciranih rezultata niti jedne faze u razvoju toga cjepiva.

Posljednjih dana zabilježeno je više slučajeva reinfekcije, da je ista osoba dva puta zaražena u nekoliko mjeseci - može li ta spoznaja otežati put do pronalaska efikasnog cjepiva?

Hrvati ne vjeruju znanosti

- Ovakve virusne reinfekcije nisu nikakva novost, događaju se i kod drugih virusa. Radi se o izoliranim slučajevima, po mome mišljenju to neće utjecati na tok ove pandemije.

Ako će novi koronavirus bitno mutirati, a za sada nema takvih indikacija, onda bi to ukazivalo na to da jedno cjepivo ne bi bilo dovoljno protiv tog virusa te bi stoga bilo potrebno pripremiti sezonska cjepiva, ističe Štagljar, dodajući da je to slučaj s gripom.

Dosta hrvatskih građana, sudeći prema istraživanjima, nije sklono cijepljenju protiv koronavirusa.

- Veliki postotak hrvatske populacije ne vjeruje u znanost te da su o ovoj temi slabo informirani. Antivakcinalističko raspoloženje je duboko ukorijenjeno u Hrvatskoj, a šire je udruge i pojedinci koji se bave teorijama i to ponajviše putem društvenih mreža. O temi cijepljenja treba pristupiti korak po korak, treba vidjeti treću fazu kliničkih istraživanja. Nakon što to budemo znali, onda treba razgovarati u dobroj vjeri i s protivnicima cijepljenja.

Štagljar dodaje da nikada do sada nije se bilo važnije cijepiti protiv gripe kao što je to ove zime.

- Svima je jasno da nas ove jeseni i zime čeka drugi val Covida-19 koji bi mogao biti jači i teži od onoga prvog, cijepljenjem možemo smanjiti broj oboljelih od gripe, znanstveno je dokazano da je cjepivo uspješno u oko 50 posto slučajeva. Osiguravamo 50% bolničkih kapaciteta za sve one zaražene od Covida-19. Također, postoji i mogućnost da se neka osoba istovremeno zarazi i gripom i Covidom-19, u tom slučaju se naš imuni sustav ne bi mogao boriti protiv dva virusa istovremeno te je vjerojatnost da će ta osoba umrijeti vrlo velika, zaključuje.

Gost središnjeg Dnevnika HTV-a bio je dr. Igor Štagljar, jedan od hrvatskih vodećih molekularnih biologa.

Javio se putem Skypea iz kanadskog Toronta te je na početku komentirao velik broj novooboljelih u Hrvatskoj.

Podsjetimo, Nacionalni stožer objavio je u srijedu poslijepodne da je u 24 sata u našoj zemlji potvrđeno još 358 slučajeva.

- Očito je "vrag uzeo šalu" i moramo iz korijena mijenjati puno toga želimo li jesen dočekati sa što manjim brojem aktivnih slučajeva.

Dobra je stvar među ovim lošim vijestima danas, da je većina zaraženih, da se radi o mlađima i što su žarišta vezana uz bavljenje sportom.

Stoga sam mišljenja da su ove nove mjere koje je donio Stožer prijeko potrebne kako bi se suzbilo daljnje širenje virusa, a kako virus ne bi zahvatio stariju populaciju te osobe s imunokompromitiranim imunološkim sustavom. Postavlja se logično pitanje, nismo li predugo čekali s donošenjem ovakvih mjera.

Mi imamo sada jedan od najvećih postotaka testova pozitivnih na Covid-19 u Europi, ističe dr. Igor Štagljar, molekularni biolog i profesor na Sveučilištu u Torontu.

Postavlja se pitanje kada ćemo imati efikasno cjepivo, tko je tomu najbliži.

- To je jedno od najčešćih pitanja. Ima 200-tinjak farmaceutskih tvrtki i akademskih laboratorija koji rade na pripremi cjepiva. Čak 28 se ispituju na ljudima, a šest cjepiva se nalaze u trećoj najvažnijoj fazi kliničkih ispitivanja, ispituju na velikom broju uzoraka, više od 10 tisuća ispitanika. U sljedećih par mjeseci s nestrpljenjem iščekujemo rezultate tih ispitivanja, oni će nam dati do znanja koliko su ta cjepiva učinkovita. Koliko nas dobro štite, je li to 20, 50, 70 ili primjerice 90% zaštite.

Profesor Štagljar iznio je i svoje viđenje o ruskom cjepivu koje je u primjeni.

- To je jedna velika nepoznanica u svijetu znanosti, ne postoje dokazi da je sigurno i učinkovito. Nema publiciranih rezultata niti jedne faze u razvoju toga cjepiva.

Posljednjih dana zabilježeno je više slučajeva reinfekcije, da je ista osoba dva puta zaražena u nekoliko mjeseci - može li ta spoznaja otežati put do pronalaska efikasnog cjepiva?

Hrvati ne vjeruju znanosti

- Ovakve virusne reinfekcije nisu nikakva novost, događaju se i kod drugih virusa. Radi se o izoliranim slučajevima, po mome mišljenju to neće utjecati na tok ove pandemije.

Ako će novi koronavirus bitno mutirati, a za sada nema takvih indikacija, onda bi to ukazivalo na to da jedno cjepivo ne bi bilo dovoljno protiv tog virusa te bi stoga bilo potrebno pripremiti sezonska cjepiva, ističe Štagljar, dodajući da je to slučaj s gripom.

Dosta hrvatskih građana, sudeći prema istraživanjima, nije sklono cijepljenju protiv koronavirusa.

- Veliki postotak hrvatske populacije ne vjeruje u znanost te da su o ovoj temi slabo informirani. Antivakcinalističko raspoloženje je duboko ukorijenjeno u Hrvatskoj, a šire je udruge i pojedinci koji se bave teorijama i to ponajviše putem društvenih mreža. O temi cijepljenja treba pristupiti korak po korak, treba vidjeti treću fazu kliničkih istraživanja. Nakon što to budemo znali, onda treba razgovarati u dobroj vjeri i s protivnicima cijepljenja.

Štagljar dodaje da nikada do sada nije se bilo važnije cijepiti protiv gripe kao što je to ove zime.

- Svima je jasno da nas ove jeseni i zime čeka drugi val Covida-19 koji bi mogao biti jači i teži od onoga prvog, cijepljenjem možemo smanjiti broj oboljelih od gripe, znanstveno je dokazano da je cjepivo uspješno u oko 50 posto slučajeva. Osiguravamo 50% bolničkih kapaciteta za sve one zaražene od Covida-19. Također, postoji i mogućnost da se neka osoba istovremeno zarazi i gripom i Covidom-19, u tom slučaju se naš imuni sustav ne bi mogao boriti protiv dva virusa istovremeno te je vjerojatnost da će ta osoba umrijeti vrlo velika, zaključuje.

Gost središnjeg Dnevnika HTV-a bio je dr. Igor Štagljar, jedan od hrvatskih vodećih molekularnih biologa.

Javio se putem Skypea iz kanadskog Toronta te je na početku komentirao velik broj novooboljelih u Hrvatskoj.

Podsjetimo, Nacionalni stožer objavio je u srijedu poslijepodne da je u 24 sata u našoj zemlji potvrđeno još 358 slučajeva.

- Očito je "vrag uzeo šalu" i moramo iz korijena mijenjati puno toga želimo li jesen dočekati sa što manjim brojem aktivnih slučajeva.

Dobra je stvar među ovim lošim vijestima danas, da je većina zaraženih, da se radi o mlađima i što su žarišta vezana uz bavljenje sportom.

Stoga sam mišljenja da su ove nove mjere koje je donio Stožer prijeko potrebne kako bi se suzbilo daljnje širenje virusa, a kako virus ne bi zahvatio stariju...
