Franje Tuđmana, na kojemu će biti postavljen, kako kaže, "najveći i najljepši spomenik" prvom hrvatskom predsjedniku, pa ne vidi ništa sporno u vezi s postojećim trgom koji zadnje tri godine nosi Tuđmanovo ime.

Na zamolbu da komentira tvrdnje iz HDZ-a kako Zagrebački trg koji nosi Tuđmanovo ime nije odgovarajući za njegovu povijesnu veličinu, Bandić je kazao da "imamo sve, ne vidim u čemu je problem, ali s obzirom da idu izbori, to je legitimno, ja to razumijem".

"Podsjećam sve, pa i kolege iz HDZ-a, da je na tom najljepšem zagrebačkom trgu 'sve počelo' na Cvjetnicu 91. godine", kazao je.

Bandić je istaknuo da cijeni prvog hrvatskog predsjednika jer je bio prvi u tri stvari: bio je na čelu pokreta koji je najjasnije izrazio ideju neovisne Hrvatske, bio je na čelu Hrvatske kad je međunarodno priznata i bio je na čelu države kad je reintegrirala svoja područja.

"To je dovoljno da mu napravimo najveći i najljepši spomenik u Hrvatskoj na trgu gdje je 91. sve počelo", istaknuo je Bandić.

Najavio je da će autor spomenika biti izabran na javnom natječaju, projekt za uređenje trga bit će gotov za mjesec dana, a najesen počinju radovi, za što treba izdvojiti deset milijuna kuna.

Taj će iznos biti predstavljen u rebalansu proračuna na sjednici Gradske skupštine zakazane za 16. srpnja, a kolege će imati mogućnost izglasati taj novac koji su "izbacili dok me nije bilo", rekao je Bandić.

Franje Tuđmana, na kojemu će biti postavljen, kako kaže, "najveći i najljepši spomenik" prvom hrvatskom predsjedniku, pa ne vidi ništa sporno u vezi s postojećim trgom koji zadnje tri godine nosi Tuđmanovo ime.

Na zamolbu da komentira tvrdnje iz HDZ-a kako Zagrebački trg koji nosi Tuđmanovo ime nije odgovarajući za njegovu povijesnu veličinu, Bandić je kazao da "imamo sve, ne vidim u čemu je problem, ali s obzirom da idu izbori, to je legitimno, ja to razumijem".

"Podsjećam sve, pa i kolege iz HDZ-a, da je na tom najljepšem zagrebačkom trgu 'sve počelo' na Cvjetnicu 91. godine", kazao je.

Bandić je istaknuo da cijeni prvog hrvatskog predsjednika jer je bio prvi u tri stvari: bio je na čelu pokreta koji je najjasnije izrazio ideju neovisne Hrvatske, bio je na čelu Hrvatske kad je međunarodno priznata i bio je na čelu države kad je reintegrirala svoja područja.

"To je dovoljno da mu napravimo najveći i najljepši spomenik u Hrvatskoj na trgu gdje je 91. sve počelo", istaknuo je Bandić.

Najavio je da će autor spomenika biti izabran na javnom natječaju, projekt za uređenje trga bit će gotov za mjesec dana, a najesen počinju radovi, za što treba izdvojiti deset milijuna kuna.

Taj će iznos biti predstavljen u rebalansu proračuna na sjednici Gradske skupštine zakazane za 16. srpnja, a kolege će imati mogućnost izglasati taj novac koji su "izbacili dok me nije bilo", rekao je Bandić.
