Nakon što je u posljednje dvije godine bila finalist i polufinalist, hrvatska teniska reprezentacija preskočit će sudjelovanje u nokaut fazi završnice Davis Cupa.

Zadnji je dan mečeva D skupinI, a na Gripama će Hrvatska od 15 sati odmjeriti snage s Nizozemskom. No, bit će to dvoboj bez značaja za plasman na turnir u Malagi gdje će se naći osam najboljih reprezentacija svijeta.

Što se tiče splitske grupe, domaćini nemaju nikakve šanse za “put pod noge”, dok su pak njihovi protivnici već osigurali svoju kartu. Rekli bismo, odradit će se ovo čisto formalno, a u nekim normalnijim slučajevima i za publiku. No, ljudi na tribinama “velikoj na Gripama” nema, pa nekog gušta igranja za navijače neće biti. I dok se Split kao loš domaćin opravdava s preskupim kartama, istina je ipak malo drugačija.

Martićevi momci igraju dobar tenis

Grad pod Marjanom je pokazao kako bezuvjetnu podršku daje samo jednom sportu, odnosno klubu, dok ostale ekipe na raznim terenima i borilištima moraju tu ljubav zaslužiti. Tek kad se nađu u prilikama za titule ili medalje onda u Splitu postanu “in”, a to potvrđuje informacija koju je otkrio Borna Gojo:

- Igrači i savez su podilili 500 karata ljudima, a u dvorani nije bilo 400 naših navijača - emotivno je nakon poraza od Finca Emila Ruusuvuorija rekao prvi reket hrvatske reprezentacije. Ali dobro, ostavimo se publike i domaćinstva “najsportskijeg grada na svitu”. Slike i dojmovi su obišli svijet, a Davis Cup zasigurno neće opet tako skoro na isto mjesto...

Međutim, u cijeloj toj priči, i bez publike i plasmana na završnicu, može se naći nešto dobro. Tenis koji su igrali izabranici Vedrana Martića bio je na odličnoj razini. U par navrata su Gojo i Dino Prižmić govorili kako su im ovo bili mečevi karijera...

Pohvale Prižmiću

Drugi reket reprezentacije ima tek osamnaest godina i bio je najmlađi na turniru, a po prezentiranom na Gripama teško se moglo zaključiti kako se radilo o debitantu na ovom natjecanju. Prižmić je svijetla budućnost reprezentacije. No, da ga ne hvalimo samo zato što je naš, sve je u nekoliko rečenica objasnio američki izbornik Bob Bryan:

- Taj dečko mnogo obećava. Nismo očekivali da će tako dobro igrati. Mackenzie je morao igrati svoj najbolji tenis. Ništa mu nije darovano, morao je sve zaraditi - rekao je Bryan nakon meča Prižmića protiv 39. igrača svijeta, deset godina starijeg Mackenzieja McDonalda.

Gojo je nakon izostanka Borne Čorića zbog ozljede postao prvi hrvatski reket i još jednom je pokazao kako je “mister Davis Cup”. U prvom meču svladao je Francesa Tiafoea, donedavnog “Top 10” igrača, a iako ga je Finac nadigrao u dva seta, na malo toga možemo žugati.

Naš dvojac u parovima, Ivan Dodig i Mate Pavić protiv Finske su igrali susret koji je bio samo formalnost i nakon šest zajedničkih mečeva za reprezentaciju došli do prve pobjede. Šteta što rezultatski nije bila bitna.

A bitno je bilo hrvatskim reprezentativcima igrati pred punim tribinama domaćih navijača, ali očito Split nije grad za to. Bit će se teško motivirati za zadnji dan turnira, ali u svemu su pronašli i malo mjesta za šalu.

- Strah me i pomisliti što će biti kad ne igramo za nešto. Ali dobro... Bit će Nizozemaca - zaključio je Gojo.

Nakon što je u posljednje dvije godine bila finalist i polufinalist, hrvatska teniska reprezentacija preskočit će sudjelovanje u nokaut fazi završnice Davis Cupa.

Zadnji je dan mečeva D skupinI, a na Gripama će Hrvatska od 15 sati odmjeriti snage s Nizozemskom. No, bit će to dvoboj bez značaja za plasman na turnir u Malagi gdje će se naći osam najboljih reprezentacija svijeta.

Što se tiče splitske grupe, domaćini nemaju nikakve šanse za “put pod noge”, dok su pak njihovi protivnici već osigurali svoju kartu. I dok se Split kao loš domaćin opravdava s preskupim kartama, istina je ipak malo drugačija.

Martićevi momci igraju dobar tenis

Grad pod Marjanom je pokazao kako bezuvjetnu podršku daje samo jednom sportu, odnosno klubu, dok ostale ekipe na raznim terenima i borilištima moraju tu ljubav zaslužiti. Tek kad se nađu u prilikama za titule ili medalje onda u Splitu postanu “in”, a to potvrđuje informacija koju je otkrio Borna Gojo:

- Igrači i savez su podilili 500 karata ljudima, a u dvorani nije bilo 400 naših navijača - emotivno je nakon poraza od Finca Emila Ruusuvuorija rekao prvi reket hrvatske reprezentacije. Ali dobro, ostavimo se publike i domaćinstva “najsportskijeg grada na svitu”. Slike i dojmovi su obišli svijet, a Davis Cup zasigurno neće opet tako skoro na isto mjesto...

Međutim, u cijeloj toj priči, i bez publike i plasmana na završnicu, može se naći nešto dobro. Tenis koji su igrali izabranici Vedrana Martića bio je na odličnoj razini. U par navrata su Gojo i Dino Prižmić govorili kako su im ovo bili mečevi karijera...

Pohvale Prižmiću

Drugi reket reprezentacije ima tek osamnaest godina i bio je najmlađi na turniru, a po prezentiranom na Gripama teško se moglo zaključiti kako se radilo o debitantu na ovom natjecanju. Prižmić je svijetla budućnost reprezentacije. No, da ga ne hvalimo samo zato što je naš, sve je u nekoliko rečenica objasnio američki izbornik Bob Bryan:

- Taj dečko mnogo obećava. Nismo očekivali da će tako dobro igrati. Mackenzie je morao igrati svoj najbolji tenis. Ništa mu nije darovano, morao je sve zaraditi - rekao je Bryan nakon meča Prižmića protiv 39. igrača svijeta, deset godina starijeg Mackenzieja McDonalda.

Gojo je nakon izostanka Borne Čorića zbog ozljede postao prvi hrvatski reket i još jednom je pokazao kako je “mister Davis Cup”. U prvom meču svladao je Francesa Tiafoea, donedavnog “Top 10” igrača, a iako ga je Finac nadigrao u dva seta, na malo toga možemo žugati.

Naš dvojac u parovima, Ivan Dodig i Mate Pavić protiv Finske su igrali susret koji je bio samo formalnost i nakon šest zajedničkih mečeva za reprezentaciju došli do prve pobjede. Šteta što rezultatski nije bila bitna.

A bitno je bilo hrvatskim reprezentativcima igrati pred punim tribinama domaćih navijača, ali očito Split nije grad za to. Bit će se teško motivirati za zadnji dan turnira, ali u svemu su pronašli i malo mjesta za šalu.

- Strah me i pomisliti što će biti kad ne igramo za nešto. Ali dobro... Bit će Nizozemaca - zaključio je Gojo.

Zadnji dan na Gripama, ‘bit će Nizozemaca’, Hrvatska će pokušati natjecanje završiti prvom pobjedom

Nakon što je u posljednje dvije godine bila finalist i polufinalist, hrvatska teniska reprezentacija preskočit će sudjelovanje u nokaut fazi završnice Davis Cupa.

Zadnji je dan mečeva D skupinI, a na Gripama će Hrvatska od 15 sati odmjeriti snage s Nizozemskom. No, bit će to dvoboj bez značaja za plasman na turnir u Malagi gdje će se naći osam najboljih reprezentacija svijeta.

Što se tiče splitske grupe, domaćini nemaju nikakve šanse za “put pod noge”, dok su pak njihovi protivnici već osigurali svoju kartu.
