I ove ćemo godine uživati u profesionalnome tenisu na Firulama. ATP Challenger vratio je vrhunski tenis u splitski hram „bijelog sporta” prošle godine, a turnir je bio pun pogodak. Trebao je biti održan u travnju, ali ga je pandemija koronavirusa „gurnula” na kraj rujna i početak listopada.
- Turnir se vraća u svoj izvorni termin, travanj. Riječ je o izuzetno atraktivnom terminu, jer smo ove godine u terminu od 12. do 18. travnja kada u Europi nema niti jednog drugog turnira osim našeg i onoga u Monte Carlu. To jamči i atraktivna imena koje ne uđu u ždrijeb Monte Carla – najavio nam je Ismar Moralić, direktor ATP Challengera u Splitu.
Je li bilo teško u svega pola godine posložiti stvari i za drugi turnir?
- Pa i nije baš. Uvijek je teško složiti prvu ediciju, kasnije je priča praktički posložena, ispravljaju se detalji. Financijska situacija uzrokovana pandemijom nije ništa bolja nego prošle godine pa ne moramo razmišljati kuda sa silnim suficitom, ha, ha. Ukratko, radimo s onim što imamo i vjerujemo da ćemo ponovo napraviti turnir na najvišoj mogućoj razini, kojeg će ponovo prepoznati publika- Prošle je godine naš turnir oduševio i ATP s čije su strane stigle brojne pohvale, a sto će uskoro rezultirati jednom bombastičnom viješću.
Kakvom?
- Ostavimo još nešto vremena za objavu toga.
Kakve su bile reakcije nakon turnira prošle godine?
- Vjerujem da je prisutnost publike najbolji odgovor na to pitanje. Nekoliko se dana tražila karta više. Od prvog dana turnir je bio izuzetno dobro posjećen. Vjerujemo da bi bili rasprodali i maksimalan kapacitet kluba u normalnim uvjetima. Svakako u tom kontekstu treba spomenuti i pohvalu ATP-a, koji su i sami, osim izuzetne organizacije, naglasili i činjenicu kako je turnir prepoznat od strane publike, a što ih je u ovo vrijeme pandemije posebno iznenadilo. Žao nam je tek što turnir nisu malo bolje popratili neki nacionalni mediji, pogotovo HRT, koji ni izbliza nije ispunio ono sto je najavljivao. Kada dva hrvatska igrača ostvare ranking karijere i uđu u polufinale jednog Challengera, k tome jedinog hrvatskog profesionalnog turnira ATP kategorije u toj godini, a nacionalna televizija to ne prepozna, jasno je da netko u uredništvu nije dobro odradio svoj posao. Nadam se da su naučili na greškama i da će se ove godine držati dogovorenog, jer pretplatu plaćaju svi, pa i oni koji vole tenis, a i oni koji ga igraju.
Što znači to što je turnir u istom tjednu s onim u Monte Carlu?
- To je izuzetno dobro za turnir. Ždrijeb Monte Carla je 64, što znači da svi tenisači koji budu htjeli igrati na europskoj zemlji imaju priliku igrati još samo kod nas. Vjerujem da ćemo vidjeti u Splitu određeni broj igrača iz top 100. Pogotovo uzmemo li u obzir da smo i prošle godine imali jači ždrijeb od nekih turnir iz više kategorije, odnosno službenog kalendara najveće kategorije.
Imate li već nema imena?
- O tome je dva mjeseca uoči turnira prerano govoriti, ostavimo nešto i za kasnije. Reći ću tek da jamčimo splitskoj publici i ove godine jak turnir, te da ne sumnjamo u odaziv domaćih vedeta, što je, vjerujemo, ipak publici najvažnije.
Bilo bi dobro da se otvore tribine, barem dijelom?
- Nažalost postoje stvari na koje niti mi direktori ne možemo utjecati. Tenis se u prvom redu igra zbog publike, kao i svi sportovi. Teniski stadion na kojem igraju dva igrača uz prisutnost suca je nevjerojatno usamljeno sportsko borilište. Vidimo što se zbiva i sada u Australiji, gdje se uvodi lockdown usred turnira. Nadamo se, dva mjeseca je u slučaju ove pandemije jako dug period, da će stvari ispasti najbolje po turnir, publiku i same igrače – zaključio je Moralić.

I ove ćemo godine uživati u profesionalnome tenisu na Firulama. ATP Challenger vratio je vrhunski tenis u splitski hram „bijelog sporta” prošle godine, a turnir je bio pun pogodak. Trebao je biti održan u travnju, ali ga je pandemija koronavirusa „gurnula” na kraj rujna i početak listopada.
- Turnir se vraća u svoj izvorni termin, travanj. Riječ je o izuzetno atraktivnom terminu, jer smo ove godine u terminu od 12. do 18. travnja kada u Europi nema niti jednog drugog turnira osim našeg i onoga u Monte Carlu. To jamči i atraktivna imena koje ne uđu u ždrijeb Monte Carla – najavio nam je Ismar Moralić, direktor ATP Challengera u Splitu.
Je li bilo teško u svega pola godine posložiti stvari i za drugi turnir?
- Pa i nije baš. Uvijek je teško složiti prvu ediciju, kasnije je priča praktički posložena, ispravljaju se detalji. Financijska situacija uzrokovana pandemijom nije ništa bolja nego prošle godine pa ne moramo razmišljati kuda sa silnim suficitom, ha, ha. Ukratko, radimo s onim što imamo i vjerujemo da ćemo ponovo napraviti turnir na najvišoj mogućoj razini, kojeg će ponovo prepoznati publika- Prošle je godine naš turnir oduševio i ATP s čije su strane stigle brojne pohvale, a sto će uskoro rezultirati jednom bombastičnom viješću.
Kakvom?
- Ostavimo još nešto vremena za objavu toga.
Kakve su bile reakcije nakon turnira prošle godine?
- Vjerujem da je prisutnost publike najbolji odgovor na to pitanje. Nekoliko se dana tražila karta više. Od prvog dana turnir je bio izuzetno dobro posjećen. Vjerujemo da bi bili rasprodali i maksimalan kapacitet kluba u normalnim uvjetima. Svakako u tom kontekstu treba spomenuti i pohvalu ATP-a, koji su i sami, osim izuzetne organizacije, naglasili i činjenicu kako je turnir prepoznat od strane publike, a što ih je u ovo vrijeme pandemije posebno iznenadilo. Žao nam je tek što turnir nisu malo bolje popratili neki nacionalni mediji, pogotovo HRT, koji ni izbliza nije ispunio ono sto je najavljivao. Kada dva hrvatska igrača ostvare ranking karijere i uđu u polufinale jednog Challengera, k tome jedinog hrvatskog profesionalnog turnira ATP kategorije u toj godini, a nacionalna televizija to ne prepozna, jasno je da netko u uredništvu nije dobro odradio svoj posao. Nadam se da su naučili na greškama i da će se ove godine držati dogovorenog, jer pretplatu plaćaju svi, pa i oni koji vole tenis, a i oni koji ga igraju.
Što znači to što je turnir u istom tjednu s onim u Monte Carlu?
- To je izuzetno dobro za turnir. Ždrijeb Monte Carla je 64, što znači da svi tenisači koji budu htjeli igrati na europskoj zemlji imaju priliku igrati još samo kod nas. Vjerujem da ćemo vidjeti u Splitu određeni broj igrača iz top 100. Pogotovo uzmemo li u obzir da smo i prošle godine imali jači ždrijeb od nekih turnir iz više kategorije, odnosno službenog kalendara najveće kategorije.
Imate li već nema imena?
- O tome je dva mjeseca uoči turnira prerano govoriti, ostavimo nešto i za kasnije. Reći ću tek da jamčimo splitskoj publici i ove godine jak turnir, te da ne sumnjamo u odaziv domaćih vedeta, što je, vjerujemo, ipak publici najvažnije.
Bilo bi dobro da se otvore tribine, barem dijelom?
- Nažalost postoje stvari na koje niti mi direktori ne možemo utjecati. Tenis se u prvom redu igra zbog publike, kao i svi sportovi. Teniski stadion na kojem igraju dva igrača uz prisutnost suca je nevjerojatno usamljeno sportsko borilište. Vidimo što se zbiva i sada u Australiji, gdje se uvodi lockdown usred turnira. Nadamo se, dva mjeseca je u slučaju ove pandemije jako dug period, da će stvari ispasti najbolje po turnir, publiku i same igrače – zaključio je Moralić.
