Split Sea Wolvesi, branitelji naslova prvaka Hrvatske u flag footballu, proteklog vikenda su ostvarili dvije pobjede na turniru u Karlovcu te osigurali status prvog nositelja u doigravanju.
Posljednji turnir regularnog dijela prvenstva ujedno je bio i najveći s obzirom na to da su se sastale obje divizije. Pandemija koronavirusa organizatoru nije nimalo olakšala situaciju pa su se utakmice disperzirale prema uputama Stožera civilne zaštite, zbog čega je program trajao od ranih jutarnjih sati, sve do kasnog popodneva.
Unatoč tome u Karlovcu se odigralo nekoliko odličnih utakmica, počevši sa srazom Osijek Cannonsa i Karlovac Dukesa u kojem je domaćin u tijesnoj završnici odnio pobjedu 19:13.
S posebnim zanimanjem pratio se i susret dviju drugoplasiranih momčadi iz divizija Jug i Sjever u kojoj su Dubrovnik Sharksi odnijeli pobjedu nad Osijekom, a zatim u najboljoj utakmici kola nadvisili Zagreb Patriotse sa 40:38.
Po završetku prvog dijela programa napravljena je kratka pauza te su se ekipe izmijenile kako bi se izbjegla veća grupiranja. Uslijedio je susret dviju prvoplasiranih momčadi iz grupa - Bjelovar Greenhornsa i Split Sea Wolvesa - koji je odlučivao o prvom mjestu u ukupnom poretku koje je donosilo pravo domaćinstva Final Foura. Utakmica je krenula čvrsto, ali prvu značajniju prednost napravili su Morski vukovi i prelomili utakmicu već na poluvremenu sa 34:13. Prednost Splićana do kraja utakmice samo je rasla te je konačan rezultat bio 61:13.
Posljednja utakmica turnira bila je ona između domaćih Dukesa i Sea Wolvesa, a Splićani su od početka krenuli s juniorima koji su pokazali da bez problema mogu zamijeniti starije igrače. Morski vukovi su u u tom susretu slavili sa 33:13.
- Ova sezona bila je jako zahtjevna, ponjaprije zbog situacije s Covidom koja je na test stavila cijeli svijet, a time i sport. Također, ovogodišnji raspored bio je dosta zahtjevan zbog većeg broja putovanja, zbog čega smo se morali osloniti na puno širi kadar, te smo na kraju natjecanje odradili s čak 22 natjecatelja. Upravo to smatram našim glavnim uspjehom u ovoj godini, uz činjenicu da rezultatski nismo podbacili i da smo treću godinu zaredom regularni dio sezone završili na prvom mjestu, što se do sada u Hrvatskoj flag football ligi nikada nije dogodilo. Slijede nam pripreme za organizaciju finalnog turnira koji će se održati za dva tjedna i logistički sada imamo dosta posla kako bi se prilagodili traženim zdravstvenim mjerama - rekao je Hrvoje Tolić, predsjednik kluba.
Svoje viđenje dali su nam i članovi stručnog stožera Sea Wolvesa, koji još uvijek aktivno i igraju.
- Odigrali smo dvije vrlo dobre utakmice, kroz cijelu sezonu imali smo problema s prednjom linijom, ali iz natjecanja u natjecanje postepeno smo se dizali unatoč velikom broju rotacija u igračkom kadru. Slijedi nam najdraži dio, a to je finalni turnir na kojem ćemo pokušati doći do trećeg uzastopnog naslova i ući u povijest kao prvi kojima je to pošlo za rukom - kazao je Luka Matešan, trener obrane.
- Zadovoljan sam viđenim. Naravno, ono što najviše raduje jest igra juniora koji svojim predstavama i ponašanjem pravdaju trud uložen u njih iz treninga u trening. Ova sezona dosta se otegnula zbog situacije s koronavirusom pa je natjecanje zagazilo duboko u jesen, iako inače završava u ljeto. Predstoje nam posljednje pripreme i finalni turnir na kojem nas očekuju dvije odlične momčadi bez obzira na to o kome se radilo - rekao je za kraj Ivo Purkić, trener napada i kapetan momčadi.
Na Final Fouru će, uz Sea Wolvese, nastupiti Dubrovnik Sharksi, Bjelovar Greenhornsi i Osijek Cannonsi, a prvo mjesto koje su Splićani ostvarili na kraju regularne sezone znači da će im protivnici u polufinalu biti Osječani.
Morski vukovi su glavni favoriti za naslov, čime bi došli do trećeg uzastopnog trofeja prvaka Hrvatske, a lako je moguće da drugu godinu zaredom o osvajaču budu odlučivale dvije momčadi iz Dalmacije.

Split Sea Wolvesi, branitelji naslova prvaka Hrvatske u flag footballu, proteklog vikenda su ostvarili dvije pobjede na turniru u Karlovcu te osigurali status prvog nositelja u doigravanju.
Posljednji turnir regularnog dijela prvenstva ujedno je bio i najveći s obzirom na to da su se sastale obje divizije. Pandemija koronavirusa organizatoru nije nimalo olakšala situaciju pa su se utakmice disperzirale prema uputama Stožera civilne zaštite, zbog čega je program trajao od ranih jutarnjih sati, sve do kasnog popodneva.
Unatoč tome u Karlovcu se odigralo nekoliko odličnih utakmica, počevši sa srazom Osijek Cannonsa i Karlovac Dukesa u kojem je domaćin u tijesnoj završnici odnio pobjedu 19:13.
S posebnim zanimanjem pratio se i susret dviju drugoplasiranih momčadi iz divizija Jug i Sjever u kojoj su Dubrovnik Sharksi odnijeli pobjedu nad Osijekom, a zatim u najboljoj utakmici kola nadvisili Zagreb Patriotse sa 40:38.
Po završetku prvog dijela programa napravljena je kratka pauza te su se ekipe izmijenile kako bi se izbjegla veća grupiranja. Uslijedio je susret dviju prvoplasiranih momčadi iz grupa - Bjelovar Greenhornsa i Split Sea Wolvesa - koji je odlučivao o prvom mjestu u ukupnom poretku koje je donosilo pravo domaćinstva Final Foura. Utakmica je krenula čvrsto, ali prvu značajniju prednost napravili su Morski vukovi i prelomili utakmicu već na poluvremenu sa 34:13. Prednost Splićana do kraja utakmice samo je rasla te je konačan rezultat bio 61:13.
Posljednja utakmica turnira bila je ona između domaćih Dukesa i Sea Wolvesa, a Splićani su od početka krenuli s juniorima koji su pokazali da bez problema mogu zamijeniti starije igrače. Morski vukovi su u u tom susretu slavili sa 33:13.
- Ova sezona bila je jako zahtjevna, ponjaprije zbog situacije s Covidom koja je na test stavila cijeli svijet, a time i sport. Također, ovogodišnji raspored bio je dosta zahtjevan zbog većeg broja putovanja, zbog čega smo se morali osloniti na puno širi kadar, te smo na kraju natjecanje odradili s čak 22 natjecatelja. Upravo to smatram našim glavnim uspjehom u ovoj godini, uz činjenicu da rezultatski nismo podbacili i da smo treću godinu zaredom regularni dio sezone završili na prvom mjestu, što se do sada u Hrvatskoj flag football ligi nikada nije dogodilo. Slijede nam pripreme za organizaciju finalnog turnira koji će se održati za dva tjedna i logistički sada imamo dosta posla kako bi se prilagodili traženim zdravstvenim mjerama - rekao je Hrvoje Tolić, predsjednik kluba.
Svoje viđenje dali su nam i članovi stručnog stožera Sea Wolvesa, koji još uvijek aktivno i igraju.
- Odigrali smo dvije vrlo dobre utakmice, kroz cijelu sezonu imali smo problema s prednjom linijom, ali iz natjecanja u natjecanje postepeno smo se dizali unatoč velikom broju rotacija u igračkom kadru. Slijedi nam najdraži dio, a to je finalni turnir na kojem ćemo pokušati doći do trećeg uzastopnog naslova i ući u povijest kao prvi kojima je to pošlo za rukom - kazao je Luka Matešan, trener obrane.
- Zadovoljan sam viđenim. Naravno, ono što najviše raduje jest igra juniora koji svojim predstavama i ponašanjem pravdaju trud uložen u njih iz treninga u trening. Ova sezona dosta se otegnula zbog situacije s koronavirusom pa je natjecanje zagazilo duboko u jesen, iako inače završava u ljeto. Predstoje nam posljednje pripreme i finalni turnir na kojem nas očekuju dvije odlične momčadi bez obzira na to o kome se radilo - rekao je za kraj Ivo Purkić, trener napada i kapetan momčadi.
Na Final Fouru će, uz Sea Wolvese, nastupiti Dubrovnik Sharksi, Bjelovar Greenhornsi i Osijek Cannonsi, a prvo mjesto koje su Splićani ostvarili na kraju regularne sezone znači da će im protivnici u polufinalu biti Osječani.
Morski vukovi su glavni favoriti za naslov, čime bi došli do trećeg uzastopnog trofeja prvaka Hrvatske, a lako je moguće da drugu godinu zaredom o osvajaču budu odlučivale dvije momčadi iz Dalmacije.
