Simon Luka Vlahović, mladi reprezentativac Belgije novi je igrač OK „Ribola Kaštela“. Igra na poziciji srednjeg blokera, ima 19 godina, a završio prestižnu belgijsku državnu sportsku školu Topsportschool Vilvoorde, te je u pet godina igrao za školske ekipe u raznim rangovima natjecanja.
- Kada sam završio školu u Belgiji otišao sam u SAD na usavršavanje na St. Francis College Volleyball u New Yorku i za njih igrao u sezoni 2022./23. S reprezentacijom sam bio na dva europska prvenstva, a u Teheranu sam prvi put kao reprezentativac sudjelovao na svjetskom prvenstvu. U WEVZA-i smo osvojili zlato, 2022. sam igrao i na Europskim olimpijskim igrama za mlade (EYOF).
Pojasnio je kako je došlo do suradnje s OK „Ribola Kaštela“ i kako je odmah „kliknuo“ s ekipom:
- Dobio sam poruku od trenera Ivana Rančića, objasnio mi je što želi od mene i na čemu trebam raditi kako bi postao još bolji igrač. Došao sam u Kaštela i baš mi se sve svidjelo i odmah sam imao osjećaj da je to mjesto gdje bi sigurno htio igrati i živjeti. Sad se s reprezentacijom pripremam za Svjetsko prvenstvo za mlade (U21) koje će se od 7. do 16. srpnja održati u Bahrainu, te se nadam se da ćemo to dobro odigrati.
Trener Ivan Rančić, koji je pratio njegov razvoj kroz dva prvenstva, smatra da je odličan bloker, jako siguran server, te da još može napredovati u svim segmentima igre:
- Jako smo sretni što nam dolazi Simon Luka, mislim da je jako talentiran, a dobra stvar je što smo potpisali na dvije plus jednu godinu, znači ovdje će se razvijati. I sam je rekao da klub vidi kao veliku priliku za razvoj što je nama značajan pokazatelj da radimo dobro. Ove godine ostajemo s mladim igračima, okosnica će ekipe biti Kulušić, Jureta, Cvijović, vratio nam se i Jurić da nam da sigurnost i iskustvo. Igrači 2003., 2004. i 2005. godišta će biti maksimalno ove godine forsirani, cilj nam je da postanu što kvalitetniji, a uvjeren sam da ćemo imati stvarno talentiranu ekipu i bit će pravo zadovoljstvo u narednoj sezoni raditi s njima i pratiti njihov napredak.
Simon Luka je odbojku počeo trenirati s 12 godina, a prvi trener mu je bio otac Aleksandar, koji je prije trenerske ostvario značajnu igračku karijeru.

Simon Luka Vlahović, mladi reprezentativac Belgije novi je igrač OK „Ribola Kaštela“. Igra na poziciji srednjeg blokera, ima 19 godina, a završio prestižnu belgijsku državnu sportsku školu Topsportschool Vilvoorde, te je u pet godina igrao za školske ekipe u raznim rangovima natjecanja.
- Kada sam završio školu u Belgiji otišao sam u SAD na usavršavanje na St. Francis College Volleyball u New Yorku i za njih igrao u sezoni 2022./23. S reprezentacijom sam bio na dva europska prvenstva, a u Teheranu sam prvi put kao reprezentativac sudjelovao na svjetskom prvenstvu. U WEVZA-i smo osvojili zlato, 2022. sam igrao i na Europskim olimpijskim igrama za mlade (EYOF).
Pojasnio je kako je došlo do suradnje s OK „Ribola Kaštela“ i kako je odmah „kliknuo“ s ekipom:
- Dobio sam poruku od trenera Ivana Rančića, objasnio mi je što želi od mene i na čemu trebam raditi kako bi postao još bolji igrač. Došao sam u Kaštela i baš mi se sve svidjelo i odmah sam imao osjećaj da je to mjesto gdje bi sigurno htio igrati i živjeti. Sad se s reprezentacijom pripremam za Svjetsko prvenstvo za mlade (U21) koje će se od 7. do 16. srpnja održati u Bahrainu, te se nadam se da ćemo to dobro odigrati.
Trener Ivan Rančić, koji je pratio njegov razvoj kroz dva prvenstva, smatra da je odličan bloker, jako siguran server, te da još može napredovati u svim segmentima igre:
- Jako smo sretni što nam dolazi Simon Luka, mislim da je jako talentiran, a dobra stvar je što smo potpisali na dvije plus jednu godinu, znači ovdje će se razvijati. I sam je rekao da klub vidi kao veliku priliku za razvoj što je nama značajan pokazatelj da radimo dobro. Ove godine ostajemo s mladim igračima, okosnica će ekipe biti Kulušić, Jureta, Cvijović, vratio nam se i Jurić da nam da sigurnost i iskustvo. Igrači 2003., 2004. i 2005. godišta će biti maksimalno ove godine forsirani, cilj nam je da postanu što kvalitetniji, a uvjeren sam da ćemo imati stvarno talentiranu ekipu i bit će pravo zadovoljstvo u narednoj sezoni raditi s njima i pratiti njihov napredak.
Simon Luka je odbojku počeo trenirati s 12 godina, a prvi trener mu je bio otac Aleksandar, koji je prije trenerske ostvario značajnu igračku karijeru.
